Just spent a week here and it was excellent. The cabin was very clean and comfortable, extremely well equipped. Vickie and Ken were very good hosts and made us feel very welcome. The beach and the area very well maintained and attractive. This is a good place for a quiet getaway, going back in September

We stayed for 2 nights at the Kawawong family cabin in Manitoulin Island. Awesome cabin with 2 Bed rooms, right at the lake front. The owners Bob and Jean are such a lovely couple and extremely helpful. Cabins have BBQ and outside fire pit. Very clean and stunning open views. Paddle boat and motor boat available at site. We would definitely come back to this place again.

We were staying at a B&B just down the lake and rented one of their boats for an afternoon for some fishing. the boat was in excellent condition for a rental with an out board that started very easily. Bait is available at their location.

The best place to stay on the island - Vicki and Ken are amazing owners with a true taste for the outdoors. The property is always clean and safe - hoping to return to this slice of heaven every summer for multiple weeks, each and every year. Close and convenient to everything needed on the island - lots of areas to enjoy and explore. Bass Island lies in front of a beautiful sunset every night - a mostly calm bay awaits for great paddling - county roads in all directions offer flowered fields and glimpses of deer. Can't wait to return.

Absolutely incredible experience! Husband and wife leading busy lives took a chance and rented a cabin for a week and were over-the-top impressed! Hard-working owners constantly working in the background to ensure everything is perfect. No detail forgotten - blankets, cutlery, egg cups! Cabin was spotless, have stayed in four star hotels that were not as well appointed. Full kitchenette, lakeside (within 5-10 feet of deck), barbecue, everything! Boat rentals and firewood available on site with free paddle boat and kayak use. Thank you for this experience, it was perfect, exceeded our expectations, and we will be back!

We had a wonderful time, cabins are right on the water and the views are amazing. Cabins are well equipped and spotless. The owners are very nice and helpful. We will definitely be back. We loved being unplugged and relaxed, just what we needed.

Beautiful spot, so glad we booked again for next year! Cabins are nice and simple but are stocked with most things you need and were very clean upon arrival! Loved that our cabin was so close to the water, and there were lots of trees so we didn't hear any noise from the road.
A couple suggestions but more "nice to haves" than anything: ladders at the end of the docks for swimming, very rocky and slippery right outside cabins and too shallow to jump or dive off docks. Would also be helpful to have a nightstand or small shelf beside beds, as well as a small fan and alarm clock/clock for bedrooms. My only real complaint was that the bathroom ceiling is open to the rest of the cottage. Helps keep the whole cabin cool but can be a wee bit awkward!

Thank you for taking the time to share your comments and suggestions. We have been thinking of adding ladders to the docks so maybe next year would be a good time. The alarm clocks and small shelves in the queen bedrooms are under consideration and if possible we will try to have them available. Thanks again and we will see you next year.
