Large campground with a good mix of seasonals, and weekenders , with tents, tent trailers, hybrids and full size tent trailers. Price to stay is reasonable, close to the beach which is nice. Lots are average size, not huge, but not too small. Would be nice to see an additional washroom and shower facility put in. Great entertainment for the adults on the weekends. Canteen food is reasonably priced and delicious! Staff are very friendly.

Definitely more of a seasonal campground, but there were plenty of sites for others, and the non-seasonal sites were the best and closest to the beach. Beatiful grassy sand dunes, and lots of pristine sand for walks. The little store/restaurant was terrific, the atmosphere here is truly beachy!

Extremely frustrating trying to make a reservation with this place. They advertise year round they are open, they are not, they finally reply saying reservations start March 2 and to call except the 888 number is not accessible to Ottawa the capital of Canada so try the 506 number and never able to get thru to leave a message as the system is full. Sent many emails to web site no response. Other campsites are already filled up however at least they tell you that when you call or send you a response. Cant wait forever, will be lucky if I can get anything at this point because waiting for this place. Needed somewhere that had space and services and pet friendly and ocean front and would take extra adults, for the dates we needed. Still no response after 24 phone calls and 5 emails. Enough already. Good Luck anyone trying to stay at this place. Not sure it's really worth it. Walmart parking lot is probably where we will end up thanks to their inadequate service.

We loved the beaches at Sandy Beach! Warm warm water sand as far as the eye can see, social distancing and clean clean clean! Camp sites are nice and wide well
maintained, only thing lacking was the WIFI tried numerous times to long in with no luck. Good news was we were on vacation so wasn’t a giant issue! Fire wood service nightly, canteen was closed during our stay. Can’t wait to come back! Thank you!

Looks fine and dandy on their Facebook page! But once you get there it’s congested with trailers and sheds! My husband is an experienced long haul driver and backs up everything and you CANNOT back into any of their spaces with a full size truck and trailer(ours is 28”)! You might be able to back up a 10” with an suv. We drove by, couldn’t fit into the spot, went to the desk and ask if theres something else. They Just shrugged us off and said you can fit and shut the door. Desk service ladies were absolutely TERRIBLE! But the ground keeps gentlemen was a dream to talk to and tried his best to find us a spot. We ended up leaving without staying one night! Wouldn’t offer a refund, but after a bit they gave us a little less then half our money back. Just don’t do it. Beaches may be nice, but there’s also a lot more camp grounds out there with the same beaches!

Be aware !!

most of the good reviews here are about the beach witch is great,

the camping park is not great!!

it is basically a lot of old trailer with cheap huts, barns, shelter, around. as a non seasonal camper you get some very tiny space space between, all is very rundown and dirty, there are no trashcans so people put there trash to the fire pits (imagine the smell after 2 days in the summer) i smells like nobody use the elbow for his septic.

the ground is not gravel or grass is dirt and this dirt you have in your RV
very soon if you want or not.

I don't know about the washroom the one was closed with a handwritten
notice to use the other one witch i have no idea till now where it is located.

It looks more like a homeless or refugee camp then a spot to spend your vacation.

All together the worst place we see in years. We payed for 3 night and left after the first night ...sorry no refund.

We just spent two nights at this place. No alternative or would have left in first fifteen minutes. Boil water signs have rust on bolts (in other words permanent situation). There is so little space for sites we actually had to park our truck on the site (and not the one we booked - someone took it and they did nothing for us). Bathrooms so unclean our ten year old niece refused to use them. They have derelict trailers on site and it’s clear there are really no staff to manage the place. We could not wait to leave. Go to the nearby beach. Pay the fees. Don’t camp here. We are pretty go with the flow people. Not sure how this merits 3.5 or Good Sam. It’s really just plain awful and we are pretty flexible people. Honestly cannot remember when I wanted to leave a place as much as this within two minutes of arriving. Nothing redeeming about it. I would rather park by the side of the highway than stay here.

Our tent was a 2 minute walk to the beach using the stairs. Firewood is not sold here so you have to go elsewhere for that. No trees for shelter in the tenting area so it can get windy at night. Not many bugs or mosquitos though. Clean bathrooms. Showers were a quarter for about 5 minutes of nice hot water. Friendly ladies at check in! Gorgeous clean beach. Decent playground for kids. The canteen had reasonable prices. Our only problem was we got stuck very close beside a bunch of noisy young people who stayed up until 3am drinking and being generally disrespectful and obnoxious. I didn't notice any overnight security other than an RCMP car making rounds around 10pm. It wasn't the owners fault our family (that included two little boys) had to be stuck beside such rude neighbors. Overall we loved the trip and would highly recommend this campground! The sunset was a little piece of heaven.

Arrived and was greeted by very friendly people. We drove a RV and towed a crv. There was enough room to drive around the place. The bathrooms were always clean. You have to pay for showers but for a quarter the water ran long enough for really have a nice shower. The beach was beautiful and the sunsets were breathtaking. Did not go to the canteen but several people seemed to buy something from there. There is a lot of little places to see around here. We even saw a moose.
