We were staying one night in Eaux Chaudes whilst looking for property and lucked out with the Auberge la Caverne. It was the only place open as it was off season, but the hosts were so nice and friendly it made us feel wonderfully comfortable. We were unable to stay at Gabas as planned so dropped down the hill to Eaux Chaudes and La Caverne which had been recommended. Annie the proprietor was superb in all ways. As we were hiking the GR10 we were happy to stay in a dortoir with others. The accommodation was clean and modern. The dinner was really good. Annie...

Great place to stay and go on the train ride 5 miles down the road; really friendly staff. Good chat with the waitress from Lille in the bar afterwards. Dont for get if you ever get to Cornwall drink some of that rattler cider.

Looking for a hotel in the off season in the Pyrenees, we fell across Auberge la Caverne in Eaux Chaudes. The host and hostess are charming, the welcome was warm and friendly. we spent just 1night there but it was very relaxing and quite,stuff was very gentle and helpful even if our French is not the best.the room was cute and the bed comfortable,everything clean we had private bathroom,the food was really good and satisfying for a good price. A really good stay on our way to Spain through Pyrineos.

I stayed at the Auberge La Caverne while hiking in the Pyrenees. I walked the Route Saint Jacques from Gabas to Eaux Chaudes. The Auberge is based in Eaux Chaudes which is about 6km from Laruns, and is based on some hot springs. There is a health spa and a more up market hotel in the small village, but for...
