We had two rooms here for one night. Right on the water. Very nice clean rooms. Comfortable beds great views. Perfect for watching birds and a gateway to rio lagartos. Very nice service and the breakfast in the restaurant was delicious. There are lots of hummingbirds feeding in the front. Reserved on Expedia. Room was $50 a night for two...

My husband and I stayed here two weeks ago for one night and it was lovely. The room was clean and comfortable. The view of the lagoon from the private balcony was a big plus. The only thing lacking in the room was a bottle of water and some glasses. The owner was so helpful. The shower was mediocre. We...

This is a straight forward hotel with one of the best views in Rio Lagartos. They serve food in the lobby to guests of this hotel and next door. Coffee is good and the huevos Mexicana delicious. The noise of a Saturday night wedding in the malecon was inviting of the festive way of life to me. One hotel guest...

My partner and I spent a night here and were very pleasantly surprised. The rooms were very clean and spacious, the bed was amazing and the wifi worked well. Would definitely recommend staying here! The room also had a really nice view of the water and there was a great restaurant 2 doors down the road.

We ate our breakfasts here during our stay at Rio Lagartos and did not stay in the hotel. The service is very friendly. We ordered the quesadillas, natural juices with milk and toast, and enjoyed our meals each time. The accompanying salsa verde with the quesadilla is especially good. When I wanted a slight kick, they gave me their homemade...

I loved this town. Not touristy, just very very fishy. Hotel is right on the lagoon. At night my daughters and I fished from the docks and caught ladyfish, catfish, little croaker looking fish, and a bunch of others. The lagoon is full of tarpon, jacks, and snook. Easy and cheap to hire a boat if you just want to...

I stayed at the Hotel Villa de Pescadores in total a little over a week. Felipe and his staff could not have been more helpful. They helped me greatly through an unforeseen family tragedy from finding a driver, Jose, a great gentleman, to take me to Cancun and storing my luggage until I returned. I was treated just like a...

Hotel was clean, cool and had the perfect balcony to watch the sun come up in the morning before our birdwatching tour. (Bathroom soaps smelled great too!) Diego's employee Francisco (Paco) was our guide...and an excellent one! Pueblo, hotel and birding service - Excelente!

A small, cute, no frills hotel. Owner is very proud of his hotel. Clean, Great waterfront and wonderful rooftop views. No elevator. Good restaurants nearby. Be sure to take a boat trip. We recommend to ask for "Gato" to provide his boat and guide you. Amazing birds and he'll take you to the flamingos.

We were told we rec'd. the best 3 waterfront rooms on the property. Staff was very attentive to our needs, however the shower had no pressure and was cold! The beds & rooms were clean and our stay was enjoyable. We ate breakfast here and it was very good and reasonable.
