This is an independently owned lodge on the Alaska Highway. It is small, only 4 units. It was clean ,but cramped and a little out-dated. It is many miles from a town and they do not have a restaurant on site, so be prepared for that. They did have a few fast food items in a hot case and a bakery case with pastries. The owner was very nice and friendly. It is not the fanciest place, but I would not hesitate to stay there again. Rates are very reasonable.

The wifi and showers did not work as explained. The owner was not helpful and didn’t make us feel welcome. The washrooms were not clean. The sites were not numbered and we ended up parking in the incorrect spot.

This was the second night of a 12-day trip from Anchorage to Minneapolis via Jasper and Yellowstone and some obscure destinations between. I'm basically interested in someplace to eat, sleep, shower, and maybe meet some interesting people. I take an insulated food storage chest with me, so I also want someplace that has a small freezing compartment in the refrigerator. I don't care about TV and I'm bald, so hair dryers aren't of any interest. The room had all of the basics, the bed was comfortable, and the bathroom worked fine. Towels and supplies met my needs. So why was my experience less than expected? When I checked in, they said my room wasn't ready yet, but I should take a walk around and look at the river, so I did. After about half an hour, I came back, and it was ready. I asked where the restaurant was and when it was open for dinner. I was told they didn't serve restaurant food anymore since COVID. That was news to me! I purposely decided to stay here because they supposedly had both lodging and a restaurant. Otherwise, I'd probably have opted to go to Teslin. I didn't have anything along to eat except an orange, some breakfast bars, and a bag of beef jerky which I would only eat in an emergency. They did have one piece of fried chicken and a couple of fruit filled pastries in a display case which I bought for dinner, otherwise I'd be out of luck. They also had some off-sale beer, but only in 4-packs, so I had to buy a whole pack to get one beer. In the morning I left early and drove to Teslin for breakfast (50 KM)

We stopped here for dinner and were glad we did. It's a charming roadhouse restaurant and gift shop. Two of us had stew and one had chili. Both got rave reviews and it was obvious they were made on-site. The proprietor was fun, the service was very good, and the views of the bridge were lovely. We'd like to stay overnight next time!

I highly recommend visiting Johnsons crossing. The rooms are clean comfortable and quite. The food and pastry are amazing and Sandy and Frank are the nicest people on the Alcan. I would definitely stop in again !!

Nice people here and great on-site fresh baking. It hit the spot for us when we needed a coffee and a pastry. They have a few cute souvenirs for sale too, for those who are looking. Conveniently located at crossroads. We didn’t try any of their other services.

Had booked to stay here and was advised that we would have a queen bed motel room. When we arrived they advised that a road crew was staying in the room we had booked and we were offered another room. Other room was very small with 2 single beds with very saggy mattresses. Sorry, but we moved on up the road to Whitehorse which made this day almost a drive of 600 miles.

Don’t stay in a room here if you value your sleep. The buzzing noise emanating from something (a furnace?) kept us awake and was not investigated by the staff member we reported it to. Wifi is patchy (although this was of less importance to us).

Driven past this Ak hwy landmark many times Decided to give it s try in Oct Had a comfortable quite room in the 3 room motel part ( the rest is a campground) and were the only guests so I can’t answer how quiet it would have been if the other two rooms had been occupied We wondered how they could stay open in the off season but found that several locals joined us for a good breakfast the view of the bridge over the Teslin River from the cafe was great We wiill be back in the spring

There are not a lot of good lodges along the Alaska Highway but this is one of the better ones. Sandy and her staff were extremely helpful with information about the area. The small dining room and gift shop were a gem. The food was good and cinnamon buns a bonus. Will definitely stop here again.
