This is a lovely 17th century villa with a winery and 86 hectares of woodland, vineyards and olive groves. There is also a restaurant to the side of the villa which is managed independently from the B&B. We stayed in a seperate cottage next to the main villa and beside the swimming pool. The property is owned by a family...

First impressions on arriving at Cefalicchio are good: it's in a pleasing, quiet, rural, hillside location. The 17th century house is imposing, the pool seems clean and the gardens look fairly well-tended. The welcome from Salvatore was warm and we were even offered a glass of the estate's wine. We were taken up imposing outside stone stairs to a terraced...

My wife and I recently stayed 6 nights at Cefalicchio B&B and had a wonderful time. Finding Contrada Cefalicchio the first time was difficult due to our GPS. However, most GPS should be able to locate Contrada Cefalicchio on the Canosa di Puglia side, and from the corner of the main road it is 3 kms with the property well...

My boyfriend and I spent the most wonderful weekend at Cefalicchio in early August. Having spent a week in a traditional Trulli in Southern Puglia which was fantastic, we didn't think that Cefalicchio would be able to beat the first part of our holiday, but my goodness we were wrong!! We were greeted by Rosana who was so warm and...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
A new proposal of hospitality for people who knows how to recognize the signs of history and art To explore new routes in the Italian cultural heritage and landscape. For a different way of doing tourism all year around. Built in 1700 as a farmhouse and then transformed in the early 1900s into a country residence, located in a hilly landscape typically Mediterranean, with a very pleasant climate all year round, the villa is surrounded by pine trees, olive trees and vineyards (more than 70 hectares with biodynamic). The site, at the center of one of the most fascinating areas for art, culture and landscape of Puglia, it can also be an ideal starting point to discover the extraordinary natural habitat of the Murgia, Gargano and nearby historic sights: Canosa, Castel del Monte, the other castles Norman-Swabian, Barletta, Trani, Bari, the Romanesque cathedrals, archaeological sites, museums and art galleries, trulli, fortified farms. A 20 km from the sea, with the salt pans of Margherita di Savoia and the protected wetlands where you can still find herons and flamingos. We offer accommodation in bed and breakfast with all comforts, conditioned air, private bathroom, mini fridge, breakfast included, pool and internet wi-fi. ... more   less
