My husband and I recently stayed 2 nights at this lovely hotel. Our room was large and had a good-sized balcony overlooking the lake. The bed was very comfortable. The room was very clean. Breakfast was surprisingly good for a 3 star hotel with lots of fresh breads, croissants and fresh fruit, amongst other items. The coffee was freshly made...

We stayed 5-9 September. Not sure what the other reviewer experienced, but our stay was great! The hotel property is set back ever so slightly from the road by the lake and the plants do mask the front of the hotel, but this isn't an issue for us. Most people use the rear entrance anyway as the car park is...

After our initial review on the site we booked through, where we gave 3/10 we received a nasty email from Basil Faulty himself. I wish I had read the reviews before we booked! The good bits.... Nice croissant at breakfast. Check in efficient. The room had been cleaned. Good parking. The not so good bits..... Upon arrival struggled to find...

Nice hotel, but no lift. Room average, no light switch reside bed, towels never changed Room a bit dated. Owners and staff very friendly and helpful Advertised restaurant but you have to stay half board to avail of it which is not advertised.

Great buffet breakfast (boiled eggs, breads, spreads, fruit, yoghurt, cereals, cold meats and cheese), very clean spacious room and bathroom, comfortable beds and huge pillows, wifi works, friendly owner, and beautiful view of the lake! We enjoyed our stay very much, will come back!

Pluses - immaculately clean, large rooms, beautifully positioned by the lake, Thomas (mine host) had a very subtle sense of humour. Minuses - very dated, no light switch by bed, small towels, food very bland. (This might be because we were in a coach party most of whom, I think, would be shocked if presented with 'foreign' food) One night...

My wife and I together with 2 friends stayed at the Strand Hotel in May 2014 on a Travelsphere tour We were fortunate to have a room with a balcony overlooking Lake Attersee. The room was fine and spotlessly clean although we found the beds a bit uncomfortable. Thomas ,the owner works very hard to please his guests and although...
