We stayed here for 3 nights during the Labour Day weekend. I chose this hotel because I have status with the Marriott brand, and the options in downtown Victoria were too far expensive for the long weekend.

I checked in via my mobile app a few days prior, and upon arrival I was happy to see we were upgraded to a two Queen Corner Balcony Suite on the top floor. We went to our room, and can say it was plenty big enough for 2 adults and 2 kids. The room had a very standard/traditional look that is common to the Four Points brand. The suite had a small fridge, microwave, kitchen sink and a range hood (but no oven/stove). There was also an in-room safe, which I like to see. TV was fine, and beds were OK. I forgot to test the speed of the WiFi, but it was adequate to use our mobile devices with no connections issues at all. Bathroom was a good size, and they use the bulk dispensers for shampoo, conditioner and body wash. I thought the balcony would be nice, except there's nothing to see but the construction site across the street. My only complaint about the room is lack of soundproofing. As our room faced McCallum Road we clearly heard all the road noise during the night, but fortunately, it's not that busy a road. And since we were very close to the restaurant patio, we could hear a lot of those guests during the night too.

Service was fine. Check-in was easy and pleasant, and standard COVID procedure is no housekeeping for short stays (which I actually prefer).

As an elite member, we got free breakfast in the hotel restaurant. I will provide a separate review for that, but suffice to say, it's adequate, but nothing special.

Location is not bad. About 20 minutes to downtown Victoria. Was nice to have a Costco next door to grab some groceries. Further down the street are a few restaurants and big box stores.

Overall, I was satisfied with my visit. Other than noise, didn't experience any issues. Just glad I could pay a reasonable rate for a hotel during that busy long weekend.

We looked for a place that was affordable, but the best we could sleep in and the Four Points in Victoria/Langford was perfect! I was really impressed with the service and ambiance the moment I walked in, and the front desk staff, the housecleaning staff, the grounds people, and our favorite bartender Julia made our stay a truly memorable one! NOTE: Victoria does not allow construction on weekends - so it was beautifully quiet all weekend long. The beds were extremely comfortable, and they are definitely pet friendly. Food is delicious. You have to pay for breakfast - but it's great. Coffee & Tea service all day long, but clean up at 9pm. Also the pool and hot tub closes at 9pm and was disappointed we didn't get to enjoy that. Highly recommend staying here!

Pillows and bed great, room and bathroom very clean, appreciated complimentary
bottle of water and can of local pop. We like to leave a bathroom light on for mid-night trips but there was a mirror on the wall just outside the door which reflected the
light directly onto the bed. Not a biggie, but annoying. Had dinner there two nights.
No specials, same soup, tasty but small portions, and $$. Have to cross a double line to enter parking lot unless you go down street and turn around.

The temperature inside this hotel is quite unpredictable. The waiting areas and common spaces fluctuate between being too cold or excessively hot. The communal work area is particularly uncomfortable due to excessive heat, making it impractical for work, and there's a pervasive strong perfume odor.
Additionally, the Pub and Grill should consider opening earlier, and it seems that the online hours are not consistently followed.

On a positive note, the staff is friendly, and the cleaning staff does an excellent job.

However, the hotel could benefit from some improvements to enhance its charm and overall upscale feel. As a four-season Marriott franchise, it should offer customers a few more luxuries, such as 24-hour access to coffee, tea, and water. A small fruit or snack, or even a cookie treat at the front desk, could also add a nice touch. Furthermore, the gym needs improvements, such as the ability to control the TV and volume, and the absence of a tissue box was noted.

My room was clean and the bed was comfortable.

This property probably should rate higher than the 3 stars I eventually gave it, partially because of the attentive service from the front desk and partly from the physical looks and location of the hotel itself. The hotel is situated at the top of a small hill with plenty of commercial stores within walking distance including a Costco, Tim Hortons, Mr Mike's, and more. Plus the lobby is inviting with pleasant soft colour tones throughout and complimentary coffee, tea, water throughout the day. And during my 3 night stay all the staff I ran into were polite, professional, and often would ask if I needed anything.

And I would have ranked it higher if it were not for a couple of minor details. First, my room was #104, on the same level and within 15 ft of the lobby. Hence, all ambient sound coming from the lobby leaked into my room... phones ringing, people checking in/out, doors closing. It wasn't abnormally loud but when trying to sleep in, the extra sounds make it hard. Suggestion to future guests: request to not have rooms #101-106. Second, my toilet required me to hold the flush down for the entirety of the flush cycle. Minor, but noticed. And last, parking is not great for large vehicles. And the Costco next door is not helpful... do not park there.

In the future, I will ask for a different room and with the continued decent service I should rank this hotel a 4 star at least.

Note: in this age of conservation especially in the use of plastics, I really appreciate the use of mounted soap/shampoo/conditioner dispensers.

Very disappointing, the most expensive and worst hotel we stayed at during our vacation. The wifi never worked during our entire stay. The room was nice, clean, and the bed comfortable. Having to go down to the lobby to use the wifi was terribly inconvenient. I tried their business centre and no computers were working there either. The staff were absolutely no help. We had outside construction noise outside our room until 9pm and it started again at 5:30am, it was very loud, they should not have put anyone in that room. No tourist flyers or information available in the lobby and no recognition of Marriott membership status.

The roof top patio is terrible. It is extremely over priced and they do not take care of the people staying in the hotel. If you are a hotel resident, do not waste your money. Other places will appreciate you more. Spend your money there, not at the roof top restaurant.

We stayed here for 2 nights upon moving to Victoria and waiting for our house to close and receive the keys. Room was very comfortable for 3 people, hotel was clean and front desk staff were friendly. Hotel is conveniently located by Millstream, so there were grocery and dinner options. My only complaint was the pet fee...when I booked the room I was told that pets were allowed for a nightly fee, which is standard. What I wasn't told was that it was $35/night per pet plus taxes, which equalled over $160.00 for 2 cats for 2 nights. Considering I paid between $25-$35/night as a flat pet fee at the other chain hotels we stayed at as we moved cross country, this came as a bit of a sticker shock, which I had to then explain to my company who was paying to relocate us. I guess my fault for not asking, but still seemed an excessive amount to charge.

At first glance the hotel is appealing and welcoming. They may be experiencing a lack in staffing as very evident when checking in to be stuck in a very long line with 2 employees only at the desk for 3pm check in time. Of my 30 friends all attending the same NYE event, none got their rooms on time. I waiting until 4:30 pm for mine putting me behind and lost time to use any amenties ie pool etc., or for preparing for a 6pm start for the party with the appetizers. Appetizers were very limited as the buffett also was. very basic food, ie. a salad bun basket, pasta dish, potato surprise, and an overcooked beef hip at the end of the table. Desserts were very limited also. The bar was also understaff for the numbers attending. Very long lineups and $9 a drink was certainly too steep. Sure didn't feel like the $85 plus tax tickets worth. The saving grace for this event was the fantastic band and terrific crowd I was with to ring in the new year.

Stayed for 5 nights in Aug 2021 in a standard room, traveled up-island for a couple of days, then back to this site for 1 night in a family suite. Friendly staff, very clean rooms, good food, free parking with spaces on both sides of building that have entrances directly into the lobby, convenient location for getting on highway, next door to Costco with nearby stores and restaurants. Safe and ironing board and iron in all rooms. Windows open to allow fresh air. The family suites have a microwave, frig, sink, table and chairs, large rooms (no stove), 2 queens or a king bed. Takes about 20 minutes to get to downtown Victoria because of traffic, avoid afternoon rush-hour to return to hotel, traffic volume takes longer to get back to hotel from downtown/tourist area of Victoria.
