Large rooms that are a great size ifyou are sharing with a friend. Spacious bathroom with a big soaker tub and rain head shower. However there were only 2 cups, 1 pack of coffee and 2 creamers in the fridge for my 4 night stay - my friend got 4 packs of coffee and abowl of creamers in her fridge so think its abit hit n miss with what you get. All of the dishes were mis matched and only 2 of everything in a room for 4 people - not what I’d expect for a hotel of this cost range! They do need a dish cloth and towel in the kitchenette and dishes have to be washed in the bathroom sink. The location is great for golfing and Jacks restaurant is reasonable and the food is OK.
Pretty average for a premier spot. We had to request a room with a view upon check in but unfortunately none where available so we faced Jake's pub. It was sprinkling a bit when we where there and we couldn't use the balcony because its not covered. The room had plenty of space but a lot of it felt wasted. Tones of storage for long term stays, not ideal for a weekend. The coffee 'table' was pretty itty bitty and everyone kinda had to make tables to set things on to be in the living room. We where 2 couples and being the second couple sleeping on the pull out you definitely feel the lack of accommodations. Had to take pillows from the main room, the sheets where very rough and pull out was extremely squeaky and stiff. no spare face cloths for washing up, the second bathroom has no counter so you either intrude on the en suit or just put your stuff on the floor. There where only 2 coffee cups and one bag of coffee. 2 guests had to settle with a half a cup each. Went down to get a spare blanket and no front desk after 11. May be a covid related thing though. We did have an issue with noise which makes me wonder about insulation/room placement. The room beside us called and had to ask us to keep it down. They where pleasant about it but we where just talking and listening to music low in the living room. We became paranoid after that that we couldn't talk anymore for fear of disturbing them which seemed silly. There where smudges on the balcony glass, it looks like it hadn't been swept in quite a while and a few amenities in the room where broken or well worn at least. Jakes was pretty good and we went and had a premium priced coctail to be able to enjoy the view but All in all Not spectacular for the drive out here.…
My husband and I needed to be away from our house due to neighbour's function and decided to take a hotel night. We decided on Fairways on the Mountain (Bear Mountain). The room is more than ample, comfy beds, very clean and our request for a high floor (which is only floor 3, but it's the top) was fulfilled! The bathroom is gorgeous- separate shower and huge soaker tub. Kitchenette area was complete with mini fridge, microwave, toaster and various dishes, cutlery and glasses. We ate dinner at the restaurant about a 3 minute walk away (fabulous!). I would HIGHLY recommend this hotel. PS- the price was absolutely reasonable , especially when compared to the resort next door. Cheers
Our double queen room was great. We were travelling/ golfing with another couple who were in a king suite and we got adjoining rooms…which was fun Made dinner there our last night They had a full kitchen Both suites had lovely decks overlooking the golf course Beds were comfortable Amenities very nice Checkin was a breeze Front staff friendly We had the option for parking and opted to park in a secured underground parking lot Jacks restaurant was right across the street and we had a great late dinner 8 pm after a round of golf Extensive menu- good food. Definitely go back
Clean, quiet, comfortable, spacious room, but light on some amenities. For example, no sink other than in the bathroom and single-cup coffee brewing. TV channels were very minimal and "free" parking is public parking (otherwise $10/night). Comfortable beds and furniture, deep tub and rain-head shower were much appreciated. Easily worth the price.
