Twelve parkland acres of lush paradise provide 195+ full-service RV sites, open from April through mid-October. Resort amenities include a modern 67 slip marina, clean shower & washroom facilities, coin laundry, Kid'z Zone, children's activities daily, off-leash dog park, sandy beach, convenience store, free wifi, boat/trailer parking and guest/visitor parking. Centralized near world-class golf courses and wineries. Wine country tours are available for adults.
I chose WoodLake as part of our week-long road trip for purely practical reasons; it was close to Kelowna, and it had available sites. Within moments of arriving, we realized that this was several steps above the practical: meticulously organized, thoughtfully laid out, and a destination in itself. Our lake-side site was easily accessible, the beach and washrooms meticulously maintained. Added services included bike and water sport rentals, children and dog play areas and a shave ice concession (!) Beyond the amenities, service was exceptional. Clear communication of important information and an over-and-above response to a lost item make it understandable why some folks make Wood Lake RV park their oasis in the Okanagan.

The noise of traffic was too much for us. We enjoyed hiring a boat. There is no food shop within walking distance which was disappointing. Showers and toilets were clean. We had someone try to get into our RV at night. The same night another man walked all the way around us, not great,

The best experience, went to Lake Country for a soccer event and ended up camping here! We had two dogs with us and having the option for a dog park that was off leash was so amazing! The welcome committee was amazing and everyone at the front desk was super accommodating! We had guests the whole time throughout our stay and not once was it a problem. Will be booking here again! Thank you all for the amazing stay and for going above and beyond to make our stay so much easier. They even had shower tokens delivered right to our campsite. Amazing!

Our 1st visit was in aug 2020. Since then we have made an effort to go at least once a year. We just returned home from a four night stay over the may long weekend. Our kids really enjoy it. As it's very kind friendly. They offer a kid's club. They decorated their bikes and did a parade around the park. We also brought our dog. He loved the dog park. 98% of the staff are great. The kids enjoyed biking to the office store (being Independent) and buying their own goodies even though it's a bit expensive. It's the memories that are made and things that they will always remember. We also enjoyed the beach and fishing off the docks. We will definitely be back. Thank you for being a great rv park

Very nice beach its clean and well kept. Your allowed to feed the ducks so they can be a nuisance (we didn’t feed them) . It a large campground and very busy. We did notice alot of hwy noise all day long as its right off the hwy. I would recommend get a site as far from the highway as possible to help with the noice. If you want to have an early morning departure make sure you check out the night before as the office is closed at 5 pm 6 on weekends.

This place was by far the worst place I have ever camped. I booked this reservation to host my parents and to celebrate my mothers birthday. This place is micromanaged by all employees who continuously interrupt your camping experience and border line make you feel harassed. From the moment we checked in, until we checked out we were constantly charged for multiple additional fees. I had two dogs visit for two days out of the 5 day minimum, neither dog slept over night and I was charged for each dog for 5 days !!!! After being denigrated by the female property manager who drives the red mustang I was then charged for multiple things that I wasnt made aware of including a service fee to use their payment system....Not only was I charged for additional parking I was then reprimanded for the parking I paid for. Their boat dock is outdated and our ATX boat stuck out a solid 6 feet. We had to secure 6 buoys to the boat so it wouldn't sustain any damage overnight. The beach is small, overcrowded and faces the decrepit boat dock. I would also like to point out the septic hookups are high off the ground and located in the back of the lot make it impossible to empty your tank.…

Response from Linda Robertson, Owner at Wood Lake RV Park and Marina
Responded Sep 13, 2022
Federica Dumais, Every once in a while we get a guest that no matter how hard we try to accommodate them there is always something wrong and something to write a scathing review about. I am sure that you will find another RV Park that better meets your needs.

We had high expectations for Wood Lake RV Park, and were excited to go there. The photos online were fabulous, but once we arrived, we were significantly let down. Our site was right off the highway and the traffic noise woke us up every morning. There were ‘no dogs allowed’ signs everywhere including the beach and dock. We didn’t feel very welcomed, given our well behaved dogs are our family. But the worst part though, was the aphids in all the trees. Someone told us the manager had brought about 50,000 ladybugs this spring to eat the aphids and that they each eat about 50 aphids per day. That means about 2.5 million aphids are gone from the RV park every day… so you have to wonder how many were there to begin with, given that it’s still raining aphid excrement. Do a YouTube search. The aphids suck the moisture out of the trees (like a mosquito sucks your blood) and whatever their body doesn’t use becomes excrement and drips onto your RV, your chairs, and of course your body. I made the mistake of looking up to see where this misty rain was coming from and got some in my mouth. When I found out what it was, I was thoroughly disgusted. I climbed up on the roof of the RV and there were aphids covering every mm of the poor tree we were under, millions of them. The staff tried to say that it’s just “water dripping” from the trees, but they pretended the aphids weren’t the problem. When we left, we went to a nearby truck wash to wash the aphids off our RV. We won’t be back.…

Wood Lake RV Park continues to take reservations for October even though they may be closing the season early due to weather. They closed earlier than our reservations in 2021. We made reservations for Oct/2022. We decided to cancel our reservation 2.5 months in advance because they can’t quarantee they will be open and they are still withholding one nights rate from out deposit.

As we loose more and more campgrounds to the development industry, I’d consider this a hidden gem!!! Many lots for your selection as they have utilized every space they can to allow for campers from all over to enjoy the nature in the Okanagan valley!! Amazing staff was the first thing I noticed and then clean bathrooms & showers and laundry to boot!! Many sites have big amazing trees to create shade that is required in the Okanagan heat!! Awesome dog park area that is well kept for our furry friend to play and make friends of their own 🐶 Great front office with small things to purchase that you might have forgot to pack in there front store plus the necessities Ice, firewood and even a fresh water 💦 machine to fill your drinking water jugs!! We have visited many sites and I’ll review a few of them in my next post but for now as a guest I am impressed and would rate this as a 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ RV resort!!!!…

I’m still bummed out about our experience here last summer. Some piece of garbage took out my dry laundry and put it on the floor - could not have been bothered to put it into a basket, I complained so they can check cameras but they did nothing. The sandwich at the shop was made with day old chewy bread and the desserts (some of them) were not enjoyable. Ants on one of the sites got up into our trailer. The beach is small and some people put their stuff out earlier to save spots, some campers at the back stay long term so it’s sketchy. Just not a fan of how things are done here.
