Wood Lake RV Park & Marina is a family oriented campground with friendly staff, people & beautiful lots for your RV. Lots that are equipped with hook-ups, wi-fi, fire, & a brightly painted picnic table. Different sizes of lots for the right size to fit your RV. The campground is bright, clean, well maintained & there are brightly painted animal signs to find your way around the park. The nature is beautiful the staff make your stay peaceful, respectful & accommodate everyone.
Wildlife, such as herons, owls, geese and birds & and a family of 4 ducks are seen around the park. A nice pond in the middle of the park adds a delightful scenery. A clubhouse filled with activities in case of a rainy day to fill your time. A highlight was the hockey game during our stay.
I was surprised by the yellow ice truck attractively placed beside the office. I love the staff, friendly people that you meet, & the view equipped with paddling, swimming, fishing, a dock for jumping & the marina right beside the park.
My husband & I love this park every time we visit. Events are scheduled regularly, or you can enjoy talking to your neighbours & meet new friends. The park is nestled away from traffic & located beside a 17.5km trail. You can begin your exploration right from the park. We recommend this park for everything that you want in a holiday.

Wood Lake RV Park continues to take reservations for October even though they may be closing the season early due to weather. They closed earlier than our reservations in 2021. We made reservations for Oct/2022. We decided to cancel our reservation 2.5 months in advance because they can’t quarantee they will be open and they are still withholding one nights rate from out deposit.

This was the first stop on our first ever RV trip, we arrived rather late and the team had left our welcome pack and the check-in cabin for us, it was all very informative and helped us to easily understand everything and what we had to do, our plot was easy to find, reverse in and hook up. We had a very peaceful night and upon waking up loved the look of the area. The staff were incredibly friendly, laundry and toilet facilities clean and tidy, lakes just on the ‘door-step’ / minutes away and were stunning. Shops and fuel were just down the road too, a perfect starter location!

This place was by far the worst place I have ever camped. I booked this reservation to host my parents and to celebrate my mothers birthday. This place is micromanaged by all employees who continuously interrupt your camping experience and border line make you feel harassed. From the moment we checked in, until we checked out we were constantly charged for multiple additional fees. I had two dogs visit for two days out of the 5 day minimum, neither dog slept over night and I was charged for each dog for 5 days !!!! After being denigrated by the female property manager who drives the red mustang I was then charged for multiple things that I wasnt made aware of including a service fee to use their payment system....Not only was I charged for additional parking I was then reprimanded for the parking I paid for. Their boat dock is outdated and our ATX boat stuck out a solid 6 feet. We had to secure 6 buoys to the boat so it wouldn't sustain any damage overnight. The beach is small, overcrowded and faces the decrepit boat dock. I would also like to point out the septic hookups are high off the ground and located in the back of the lot make it impossible to empty your tank.

Federica Dumais, Every once in a while we get a guest that no matter how hard we try to accommodate them there is always something wrong and something to write a scathing review about. I am sure that you will find another RV Park that better meets your needs.

My family and I have been coming here for the past seven years or so and we have never had a problem before. The campground itself is great and the staff is very welcoming however the new manager of the campground (Kathy) has made this years experience extremely unpleasant. It was shocking to see that someone in her position treats people so terribly. I witnessed her treat not only her staff with complete disrespect but also her paying guests. She talks to people in a demeaning and condescending way and it is quite disappointing to see. I completely understand that due to covid this year some rules have changed and need to be enforced but I truly felt as if she was picking on my family. We were very careful to distance from other people outside of the family and we had all been following the governments quarantine instructions. Despite the fact that we were trying our best to please her demands she would continue to return and harass us even though there was many other people that weren’t following social distancing rules, that includes herself. The beach was filled with people everyday yet she didn’t seem to be bothered by that at all. If she didn’t want any problems to begin with she should have closed the beach and all the beach sites. My family isn’t sure if they will continue to return unless her attitude is changed or they decide to get new management which, in my opinion, seems to be the best option. We sincerely hope that this problem gets fixed so we can continue our annual family camping trip without any stress.

Absolute terrible RV park to deal with. Booked a site on May 13th for four days at the end of June, got notified by our RV dealer today that because of Covid related issues at the manufacturer our new travel trailer has been delayed 1-2 months. Phoned up to cancel the site 5 days after booking and over a month before our reservation dates and they said that there is a $45 cancellation fee. Told them that they never told me that when I booked it on the phone with them and they said that it states it on their website and I should have checked it out. They do not care about people. Very greedy and selfish owners. Only worried about making money and not the customer. AVOID THIS RV PARK!!!!

All RV Parks have cancellation fees. It is stated on our website and our confirmation which we send after the booking is made. When cancellations are necessary because of Provincial COVID 19 restrictions we do not charge a cancellation fee.

Very nice beach its clean and well kept. Your allowed to feed the ducks so they can be a nuisance (we didn’t feed them) . It a large campground and very busy. We did notice alot of hwy noise all day long as its right off the hwy. I would recommend get a site as far from the highway as possible to help with the noice. If you want to have an early morning departure make sure you check out the night before as the office is closed at 5 pm 6 on weekends.

We have stayed here many times over the years and have always had a good time. Although the campground is still nice they have almost doubled their rates for 2021. $90 for a full service site is completely beyond reason. We will be going elsewhere next year.

This fall, during the process of updating our property management/reservation system, we were tasked with measuring each site on the property and making price adjustments according to current rates for different site types. We found that many of our sites were not measured correctly and therefore not priced properly. For the 2021 season we have adjusted pricing on a number of our site types. In the past, your bookings have been in the shoulder season which is significantly less than the high season. The site you have chosen is a premium pull-thru with a long holiday weekend. Our pull-through sites (we only have a few of them) are quite large with grassy space. These were the types of sites that did increase in price. We are sad to lose you as a customer and hope you find another park that is great. Thank you for your business.

The management is absolutely disgusting. I believe her name is Kathy if I caught that correctly in between being screamed at me. I doubt she will remember only because when I was speaking to other guests they said the exact same thing. So it isn’t her first rodeo being nasty. The manager is disrespectful, unmannerly and creates a very toxic environment at the campground. She treats her staff with such ignorance and disgrace, herself and the owners should be completely and utterly ashamed of yourselves. There is no way I would ever let such a horrendous human being work at a campsite or anywhere where they would see and deal with people on a daily basis. I was visiting family not even camping there and bought my own parking pass!!! And I had the most unpleasant and revolting encounter with her. If you ever want to experience the campground as beautiful and pleasant as it once was you should not come here and wait for new management to arrive.

These are difficult times for all of us. However, business owners must comply with all the constantly changing government Covid-19 regulations to keep customers safe or risk being shut down. Since early April we have implemented and continually evolve various government mandated Covid-19 protocols required to ensure all of our guests are safe. Our website clearly states our policy regarding COVID-19 and all of our guests must sign a waiver stating that they will adhere to those policies upon check in. Registered guests also agree to extend these policies to their guests. "Katie” you decided to be in a party with 30+ people (there are photos). You were asked nicely to split into groups of no larger than 11 people (the current BC guideline). Several in your party became belligerent and threatened to write nasty reviews on social media. You wrote this damning post to deliberately hurt our business and malign our management just like you threatened you would. We could have evicted you in the middle of your party but didn’t want to ruin the vacation of the other more reasonable members of the group. We all need to consider our role in helping to stop the spread of COVID-19. The park was full of reasonable families having a well deserved summer vacation and your group endangered all of them, and that is not cool. Go ahead with your threats. Tell everyone you know that Wood Lake RV Park enforces Covid-19 regulations and will evict those that blatantly refuse to meet the evolving provincial government guidelines. I will not apologize for supporting the BC Provincial Government’s attempts to rid our population of COVID-19. As Dr. Bonnie Henry says “This is not forever but it is for right now”

This was a decent RV park but be aware the spaces are very tight. We had a lake front site and our neighbors awning was 4 inched from our trailer. They are serious about hours in the restrooms and showers. You have to be fully self contained if you need services before 8 am or after 8 pm. Cleanliness was top notch. Sites were clean and maintained. Internet was great

Thank you for staying with us and posting a review. Our park has been a campground for the last 30 years and over that time the size of RVs have really changed! We have reduced the number of sites significantly over the past couple of years in order to accommodate larger rigs. We will continue to try to find that "sweet spot". We hope to see you again soon!
