I've been reminiscing about my Camino Frances walk in April/May 2015. I have a very fond memory of Hotel El Paso Honroso. While reading some of the other reviews, I feel that justice hasn't been done and feel guilty for not reviewing it at the time. So, in retrospect, here goes. After a long (31.6 K), windy, hot, painful day...

We were doing the Camino de Santiago and thought this would be a good place to stat. The location is terrible. It is next door to a gas station, so all night you hear people going In and. Although the people working at the desk were nice, nothing could have changed the location, the size of the rooms, the uncomfortable...

Misled by the incorrect map in our guidebook, we pre-booked a room at the hotel thinking that it was near the old town and consequently had some difficulty finding it. It is about a kilometre from the historic bridge and on the busy N 120, next to a petrol station. Handy for motorists but not so much for pilgrims, so...

Stayed here on our Camino trip and it was grand. The staff were nice & helpful & the food in the restaurant was nice & not expensive. It was cheap enough & we found it adequate for our stay. The town is lovely & well worth a stop off on the Camino. This hotel was nice for our stay.

Myself and a friend stayed here twice, on a motorcycle tour of northern Spain. Met different members of staff and all were friendly, and helpful. It was handy being next to the garage and restaurant - we needed a map and breakfast! We did go for a walk around the town and were given some history info, and a few...

Stayed here as it was the only hotel available in this small town on the camino to Santiago. If you want to be woken up by seating heat from the radiators and underfloor heating throughout the night then this is the place for you. If you like a mouldy bath and a weird fishing museum in the lobby then you'll...

First of all, we would like to apologise for the excessive heat in the bedroom. The North of Spain has been severely damaged by a bitter arctic blast for the last 20 days, followed with the biggest snowstorms in 30 years, even requiring the arm-forces to intervene in our province. With thermometers plunging to sub-zero temperatures, we decided to warm-up...

Lovely little historic town. Unfortunately this hotel is on the edge of town and seems to be part of/next to a petrol station! Absolutely awful! Rooms were very poorly decorated and very very tired. Welcome to the 70s! Retro chic it ain't. The temp in the room was excruciatingly hot. The room had a lovely view of the motorway! Not...

Indeed, Hospital de Órbigo is a lovely historic town in the Camino de Santiago with the longest bridge on the Camino. A gorgeous 13th century stone bridge, 200 metres long and with 20 arches. “Absolutely beautiful!” We never hide what we are and we are proud of it! Our hotel is a complete service area with an all-day restaurant, always...

I had walked 36kms that day on the Camino de Santiago when I checked in at this hotel . It is a medium sized place , not particularly Spanish-looking but it ticks all the boxes for a stay . The real difference was the young check-in staff member . He did all he could to help me in his hotel...

Good for the night during the Camino. Facing the road, there is only a gas station and the restaurant. Strongly recommend the restaurant, great food and friendly staff, good price. The rooms are ok size and clean. There is no breakfast included but restaurant opens early morning and honest food!
