A wonderful friendly little hotel. All the staff were incredibly helpful and friendly. The room was clean, simple, comfortable and great value. The location is perfect to enjoy Panormos with a supermarket 50m away. The pool was very well maintained. All together cannot recommend it highly enough. This is not a five star luxury hotel, it is a lovely little family run hotel with much to recommend it.
Our couple stayed in Iliana last August. This year we returned with 3 friends. This small friendly hotel exceeded their expectations. The price/quality ratio is amazing. Comfy beds, nice clean pool, beautiful setting, extreme tidiness, wonderful location and much more. Thanks again to Andreas and all the staff, especially their lovely hardworking maids.
We came here because this hotel had excellent reviews, and it didn’t disappoint! As many others have said, the owners are wonderfully friendly and helpful. The hotel is also beautiful and has spacious rooms, with a handy car park and convenient central location close to beaches, shops and restaurants. We cooked for ourselves a few evenings, and the rooms are well equipped for this, with a fridge/freezer and hob/mini oven. The hotel and rooms are kept very clean. Very happy we chose this hotel!
We have just returned from a week at the hotel. What’s good Amazing service - the team were so attentive and Andrea’s could not do enough for us Pool and hotel - we spent quite a bit of time by the pool with the little one and it’s so peaceful and relaxing - hotel was located perfectly in the centre If we could choose something to improve The sheets and towels were only changed once all week. At home this is ok - but on holiday with all the sweat and sun cream I think once per week is not enough. The air con was more like a fan too and struggle to keep our room cool - Even on the coolest setting. One other snag is the shower head holder was broken so when showering - you had to hold the shower head with one hand and wash with the other - rather annoying. But - was a super pleasant stay and would recommend.…
We have just got back from 6 nights at the Hotel Iliana, and we were impressed. The hotel is a small, family run one and the staff can't do enough to help. The rooms have impressive air con in the bedroom, the kitchens are more than well equipped with everything you need, and our huge double bed was super comfy! The cleanliness is spot on and there are 2 women constantly cleaning rooms and communal areas. All the staff are so friendly and lovely. Thank you to all the staff for our lovely stay and we will be back :)
Stayed for 2 weeks in high season & although the hotel was full it certainly didn't feel busy. Lovely clean rooms with good aircon & shower. We had an apartment - No. 22 - which was pretty spacious. Pool never overcrowded. Hotel run by lovely people. About a dozen tavernas plus 3 bars & 3 small supermarkets within a five minute walk & 2 beaches within easy walking distance. Vinzis is great for a cocktail with a view! Local bus to Rethymno- large port town for sightseeing, shopping etc. We didn't hire a car but there are a couple of companies with offices in Panormos who do coach excursions- we used Checkin Creta who were good & went to Knossos, Heraklion, Chania, Lake Kournas plus a trip to the south of the island through some interesting & dramatic landscapes.
We have just returned from a great holiday at this hotel. We went with one son and his wife, and another son, wife and six year old child. All our rooms were very clean. Simple and basic but covered all our needs. They all had fridges which were definitely needed and efficient A/C. We had a small cooker in the room but none of us used it. The bathrooms are small but good plumbing! We had good sized balconies. The owners Andreas and Elefteria were so helpful with any request. Anna who works most afternoons/evenings was very friendly. I found Andreas and Elefteria the gentlest and most helpful people. They ordered us taxis, sorted a hire car and gave us advice when asked. We chose to have the breakfast which had a good choice. We all enjoyed the pool but no one more than our grandson. Like us a lot of people go out for the day or parts of the day so there is no problem accessing the pool or the sun beds most of the time. We loved the area as well. Lots more that I could write. I rarely write reviews but I had to write this one as we loved our holiday, can’t wait to return and a large percentage of that was due to the Hotel Ilianas and their owners and staff.…
This beautiful little hotel was everything we were hoping for and more. Nice comfy room, fully equipped, good amenities, lovely pool and beautiful surroundings. The hotel was spotless and the staff was extremely friendly and helpful. There is a private car park next to the hotel and it is only a short drive to the main road. The village itself is lovely, lots of shops, cocktail bars and restaurants. There is a small beach at the bottom of the street. And friendly cats everywhere! I highly recommend this hotel :-)
Vert friendly and welcoming staff with good knowledge about the region. Big rooms given the price, and nice and clean. Hotell was family friendly and the city is very calm and cozy with many good restaurants. I would recomend this very much!
We just got back from spending 4 nights at this lovely little hotel, the room was perfectly clean, fully equipped for self catering, good sized fridge, the room was simple and basic but clean and tidy. The pool area was clean and tidy and a nice place to have a swim and a relax. We only ate breakfast once while we stayed as we wanted to take the opportunity to try as many of the restaurants as possible, but the breakfast was fine, they served, juice, coffee, an assortment of tea, bread, cereal a few local pastries, ham and cheese and bread, yoghurt and honey and boiled eggs. The location of this hotel is perfect it's on a lovely street just a few minutes walk away from the beach, the village is small but extremely beautiful, there is a few nice shops to look around, supermarkets a very short walk away and so many amazing restaurants. We tried roughly 8 of the restaurants around the village and would of loved to be able to try more, and we had great food in everyone. If you want a quick coffee and pastry in the morning there is a little coffee shop a few meters away from the hotel that is open from 7 am called cafe Posto (this was perfect for the day we left as the coach picked us up at 8 and most of the restaurants don't open untill 10) we went for a nice meal at kastro creten cuisine, a very nice restaurant but does get booked up so maybe best to walk up and book a table. We also found a really nice place next to the sea opposite the spa and massage shop called Porto parasiris that served lovely cocktails and a nice view of the sea and comfy sofas to sit on in the evening. Every single person I met was so friendly and kind it really was the perfect little couples holiday. I don't think you'll be disappointed one bit if you have booked this hotel for a holiday. I can't wait to come back 😊…
