The hotel is stunning, the view of the trees and hills/mountains from the hotel room, was great to wake up to every day. My friend and I were so happy to make this our last stop on our trip through Thailand before going back to the cold - we really didn't want to leave and can't wait to come back to the Lanna.
The breakfast has a great selection, catering for everyone...if you're health concious..want a cooked breakfast...would like a sweet treat or something continental. Our favourite time of the day.
the restaurant has a great selection of food if you're having lunch or dinner too.
The staff are very friendly, polite and efficient. The hotel shuttle gets you to the main local areas and if there's anywhere specific you need to get to, the staff are happy to help!
The pool is the perfect temperature and not too busy, stayed there for hours.Lots of sunbeds available and great happy hours with cocktails and drinks!
The beach club is part of the hotel and the shuttle takes you there, less than a 5minute drive so we ended up walking on the odd occassion but it's a stunning location also with great views, food and staff.
Our room at the Lanna was light, airy and cleaned very well! Would recommend to anyone looking for a relaxing break in luxury!

I had a wonderful experience at Lanna. Staff from every department were helpful and kind. This includes the fabulous Spa masseuse. From the moment you are taken to your room, walking past the general layout of buildings and the pool and the restaurant,"Vanilla" you feel welcome. The comfortable vibe also has a deep healing feel to it.
Private patios, balconies, sunshine, great pool and staff bring this all together.
Be sure to check out their happening events. There is something for everyone at Lanna.
Well done,I plan to return.

I came to Lanna Samui to stay for a week before I needed to work again (remotely) to explore Ko Samui, do lots of Yoga and chill. I loved the hotel so much that I ended up staying 3 weeks, working from the hotel, and if I'm back in Samui this is the place to stay for me.
The staff are all very attentive and friendly, the facilities very nice (great pool area surrounded by trees), delicious food, small gym, and the Yoga outstanding. The three Yoga teachers who rotate are excellent - I've practiced with many teachers before and these stand out because they are very knowledgable, but most importantly help everyone in the proper alignment of the Asanas throughout the class. Big thumbs up!
I've stayed in three different rooms (changed the room weekly), all on the second or third floor (studio, their lowest room category). Rooms are very clean, comfortable and well equipped, bed is comfy, and there is a couch in the room which is a great add on.
The wifi was very important to me because I needed to connect to video calls, and it was very fast. Never had an issue throughout the stay.
The hotel is not located at a beach, but this was perfectly fine for me as it is easy to go around by motorbike to Chaweng or Lamai beach, or the beaches and attractions in the north such as the Fisherman's village. I often went for lunch at a beachside restaurant or hotel, and stayed there in the afternoon to have a swim.
All in all, a great hotel with friendly and welcoming staff, and high standard yoga classes.

Stayed here for 2 nights with 2 other mates all in separate rooms. Place had at least 50% occupancy which was much higher than most other places in Samui. Talking to the guests it is partly result of a particular chap riding around Thailand on a motorcycle with a YouTube Chanel who raved about this place. In summary, clean hotel, well run with a great pool. Quite a few longer term UK digital warriors working here.
The place is virtually impossible to find after a few drinks unless you have been here long enough to get the lay of the land.
I travel greatly and have stayed in hundreds of hotels. Upon arrival the hotel staff accompanied me to my room whereby I had to check through every item that can be removed, glass wear, coat hangers, shower soap canister, candle… even the plastic laundry bag. Both my travel companions had to endure the same which seemed particularly unnecessary given they had a secure deposit and physically checked the rooms before we could check out.
This did not sit well with me or my companions.
Overall a nice hotel that I would recommend if you did not want to be walking distance to the beach.
They may want to rethink their checkin process.

We really loved the facilities Lanna had to offer. The pool is great and the inclusion of yoga was much appreciated although the sauna wasn't working our entire stay. We found the restaurant a little expensive but the one time we tried, the food was good.
We really enjoyed the vibe here as there were many like minded travellers.
The Wi-Fi wasn't very good in our room so if you wish to work it may be an issue.
The only real problem was the additional charges. We were charged for a glass that we never had in the first place and a small towel at a price of 350bht.
Make sure to take lots of photos and check the kitchenware before handing over the deposit.
There was also a cleaning fee of 250bht for each time that isn't included in the price.

We stayed here for 5 nights forming part of a longer trip to other hotels and areas. This hotel had everything. Pool, nice rooms, a cute restaurant/bar, great service. It's not cheap to drink here but they do a good happy hour during the day. Just take a 10-minute walk to Bangrak where there is a little Tesco or a 7/11, buy some beers and all your water (you'll want lots of water, it's hot!), keep them in the fridge in your room to then drink by the pool. There is a cool beach club nearby (IVY), plus the hotel has it's own (CHI) which has stunning views and a really nice food menu if you're looking for a break from street food.
Breakfast is included and the choice is pretty good. There's an egg station where i you read the little sign properly you'll see that you can have far more than just fried/poached etc. I noticed it for the last 2 days and had delicious Eggs Royale. Also be sure to ask for a 'real' coffee (espresso etc) rather than the filtered stuff which is OK but not great.
Plenty of sun loungers by the pool, there's a little gym, a spa, daily yoga. Everyone is super friendly and will do anything to help make your stay a little better. I would highly recommend!

Our stay at Lanna has been wonderful. The hotel is lovely and has been designed with real thought. Each room faces into the pool/centre, and the rooms feel fresh and clean. It’s in a nice quiet spot, not far from Fisherman’s Village where the hotel runs a minibus to and from everyday (Chaweng also). We received a really warm welcome from the staff here, and throughout our stay we found that they were always incredibly friendly; never hesitating to say hello or offer helpful suggestions on where to go. It has genuinely felt like they wanted us to have the best time possible on the island and they will help you to book all sorts of activities, if you like! Whilst on the island some of the places we visited were Samui Elephant Sanctuary, XQuad and Anthong Marine Park. Lanna is in a great location for all of these! We’d definitely love to come back! :- )

We recently stay here for 6 nights hotel was lovely staff are super friendly. rooms are spacious equipped with all that you need. The pool was gorgeous with warm water plenty of sun beds. Staff are very friendly we enjoyed having happy hour drinks. W3 had a couples massage at their hotel which was so good and very well priced fir a hotel. To get to fisherman’s village or Chaweng you will need to use their shuttle service for a small fee but they will also drive and pick you up from other restaurants you may want to go outside of these places. Thus hotel is well priced and I recommend for a couples or a family stay.

We stayed here for five days in January, wished we could stay five more. Our stay here was very relaxing and satisfying. I have only positive things to say about this hotel. First of all, the hotel is in a quiet area (but not far) which is a big plus for me. The hotel offers motorbike rental with insurance which no other rentals do. I recommend everyone to rent bikes at this island. So easy to get around, so much to see.

The hotel area is so beautiful, both at day and night. The restaurant serves overall very good food. The "Lanna Pizza" might be the best pizza I've tried in Thailand. Same with the massage I had at the resort. BY FAR the best massage I've had in Thailand. If you stay here you also have to check out the beach club, so so beautiful!

I also want to give a big shoutout to the staff at the resort, especially to "Best" who made our stay complete. So kind, so professional and always with a happy face. If you rent bikes to go around the island, ask him where you should go. He speaks English very well and he knows the best places to go, beaches, viewpoints, restaurants, markets, clubs, etcetera. Thank you Best!

I recommend this place!

Dear Misghool, Greetings from Lanna. As @lex2987 has said Chi is our new beach club and is fully open and operating. All Lanna guests have full access and complimentary shuttle to and from the beach club from the hotel. I hope this helps! Kind Regards, The Lanna Team

Hi The hotel shuttle would not be your best solution if you don't want to stay on a schedule or go out late evening. Taxi is a good solution and you can always find one. But ...after a while it gets frustrating and exhausting to find one start explaining where you want to go...and start negotiating as they always start extremely high. If you know how to ride a bicycle Your best choice would be to rent an automatic scooter. Almost everyone on this island has one. They are very easy to operate, you can get around easily anytime (no parking problem, just leave them anywhere). You can get to places you would not get with a taxi. You can rent one for a day and see if it suites you. You could rent one at the Lanna or in one of the walking distance shops at half the price ( 150-180 baht per day). If any of the above would not work for you, I would recommended staying in the Chaweng or Lamai area where everything is within a walking distance.

I don’t believe they do, they may offer service if you purchase the tickets through them as a transfer. We only used them to go to the Bangrak pier, Bangrak beach, fisherman’s village and Chaweng. The hotel staff are so helpful though, I wouldn’t put it past them to stretch their necks out to assist you with this request. I highly recommend The Lanna if you’re considering staying there. We’ve had our fair share of stays in different hotels in Thailand over a three week period and The Lanna has been by far the best all round.
