OZO Chaweng Samui is celebrated for its prime location on Chaweng Beach, offering convenience and access to both nightlife and tranquility. While guests commonly commend the hotel's cleanliness, modern rooms, and friendly staff, some travelers note the rooms could benefit from updates and find them smaller than anticipated. The hotel's amenities, including a pristine pool and breakfast options, are popular, although the availability of sunbeds and water bottle refilling stations has been called out for improvement. Despite the lively atmosphere, a few visitors mention intrusive noise and inadequate lighting.

We stayed in the beach front deluxe it was absolutely amazing
The views were spectacular and the room was modern / clean
Staff all very friendly especially Nigel !

We arrived earlier than the normal check in time and the reception staff helped us into our room earlier which was a great help as we had our baby with us

There are shops within a walkable distance and can walk right up the beach to other bars etc

The buffet breakfast had a lot of variety

Lunchtime food & happy hour 2-4pm were all fantastic

Would 100% go back to this hotel!

The pool area is really Nice located right next to the beach with Lots of sunbeds and umbrellas by the pool and beach so You dont need to ‘block’/reserve Them. The staff is really friendly and the cleaning is excellent. The rooms are not that Big and the balcony is not a real balcony Its too small to sit and have a drink by a table there You Can just stand (Its 40 cm Deep and 160 cm long). Not many children at the hotel but the few Who were there entertained the entire pool with running and shouting, the staff could do more to stop shouting, running and jumping into the pool as Stated In their pool rules. The breakfast buffet is really Nice, but there should be sanitizers Available to clean Your hands and the staff should wear gloves.

Dear hbn1975, Thank you very much for choosing OZO Chaweng Samui and sharing your feedback regarding your recent stay with us! MWe are extremely pleased to learn about your positive stay experience on every aspect of our hotel’s facilities especially around the pool and beach areas, team members’ competence and the extensive breakfast buffet despite the limited room space you mentioned. All of room types are of 25sqm except for Dream Space, which is 32sqm and might be more suitable for next stay with us! Thank you once again for rating us and sharing your comments with us, particularly regarding the hand sanitizers which we have added in most public areas around the property. Please know that this valuable rating allows us to continually monitor and improve both the quality of our products and standards of services provided and we hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back again in the future! Ozo literally hosted the wedding of my wildest dreams. We had 45 guests in attendance, and many said it was the most epic wedding they had ever attended.

This hotel looks more beautiful in person than in the pictures and the staff's warmth and attentiveness to my wedding and all are guests was just invaluable. Their wedding planner, Tata, has experience in the wedding industry as well. The management is superb, and the staff are kind and attentive.

It is disability friendly and doesn't require walking up or down stairs for most of resort (just a few steps to beach) and it's location could not be beat. It is right on the nicest beach on the island and in the heart of everything.

The cocktail hour and the wedding dinner provided was very reasonably priced and offered my guests a ton of Thai food options. They also handled the seating chart, seating name cards, and so many more details that I didn't know they'd handle.

I really can't recommend this resort enough for an affordable but epic dream wedding. I will forever be grateful to resort for all it did to give us a wedding me and all my guests will never forget.

Modern hotel lcoated at the best section of the beach. Although the rooms are small and the balcony hardly useable, this was more than compensated by the nice beach in front of the hotel which was cleaned by the hotel staff each morning, The sea is very clear, fine sand and very shallow entry in the sea. Breakfast was very good with a wide choice of food. Staff was very friendly, in particular at the beach bar. We highly appreciated that the hotel staff also immediatly intervened when people started to have their JBL box (or similar) blasting out music at the pool. Pool area is nice and there were enough sunbeds, although not enough parasols. Breakfast was very good with a wide choice of food. We went twice to their burger restaurant, burgers were delicious, but every time we went the signature duck confit burger wasn't available. Only real problem (although no fault of OZO) were some of the other guests from a country in the near east which were loud, disrespectful and didn't have any manners (foot on the table in the restaurant, smoking in restaurant, washing their shoes in the pool, screaming through the whole restaurant and in hotel corridor even middle of the night, pushing kids aside to jump the queue (if queueing at all), toushing food on buffet or eating directly from the buffet, taking chairs and sunbeds away when you wentt to the buffet or pool..) . Nevertheless, would stay there again.

Booked Deluxe beachfront room nearly 3 months in advance. Asked for one of the rooms nearest the pool, since I have walked by this hotel a lot on earlier trips, and I knew these rooms had a good location. On the request, I was told that this would be based on availability. I'm OK with that, but guess it would be possible to tell me 3 months in advance if it is booked or not..!

Check in was a bit delayed due to a 'problem'. Became obvious the next day what the problem really is. Room cleaning wasn't done until 5 PM, just when you arrive from the beach and want to get ready with shower etc before dinner. They are clearly understaffed when it comes to room maids.
While waiting for the room the first day, we were offered free drinks, so that was OK
When we finalky were taken to our room the first day, I was really surprised. They took us to a building BEHIND where I thought we would actually stay. That means that between our 'beachfront' room and the beach, there is an other beachfront building.
Our view was now grass lawn, the children pool and a busy walkway right in front of our terrace. And of course the building with the actual beachfront rooms that we thoght we booked based on info and pictures from the website.

OZO really need to redefine (or maybe google) the definition of beacfront!!

When I asked the staff why we were put in this room when we booked a beacfront, they answered that this is a beachfront..
Got no answer when I asked why there is a building between ours and the beach..

Our room had a lower standard than what they advertise as beachfronts have, a terrace in the middle of a public walkway and no direct access to the beach (as they state on their website)
Still we had to pay the same price as the actaul beachfronts.

The pictures attached show what you think you buy, and what you actually get.

Decided already the first hour of our stay, that we were going to cancel the booking. Spent a couple of hours checking nearby hotels, and got a much better alternative from day three of our stay.

When giving notice that we were going to cancel, they tried to charge us for three nights. I said that this is not going to happen, as they are charging us for something that they do not deliver. Ended up paying for the two nights we stayed

One other thing they 'forgot' to inform about on their website, is that a big area in the middle, close to the pool, is fenced off. This is an ongoing construction site, with grinding and hammering during the day. Not exactly favourite noises when ln holiday...!

Breakfast was OK, but you have to go outside hotel to Stacked burger to eat (because of the construction..?)

All in all a very bad experience with OZO.
No understanding from them on what defines a beachfront room. Didn't even ask if we needed a taxi when we checked out, but thats OK. We only walked a hundred meters to the better alternative anyway 😉

For OZO : for information, I also attatch two pictures of the other bechfront/seafront rooms we have had so far this vacation

Only reason I give OZO 1 star, is tha 0 is not an option

We were offered to pay for an upgrade to an ocean view and was put in the corner with no ocean view.
The rooms are very small that you can barely open your suitcase.
Our room smelt like weed and was in a non smoking room.

All hot food at breakfast is cold.
You will need to get up early to put a towel on the pool chairs or you won’t get a spot for the whole day.

Beds are comfortable

We stayed here as part of a Multi Centre Holiday with TUI.
The hotel is in the perfect location to go out and explore what Ko Samui and Chaweng have to offer. The hotel rooms are small but perfect to use as a base.
Breakfast was included with our stay and there was plenty of variety.
We also purchased lunch on a few occasions and again this was also delicious.
We actually ended up booking a trip with the hotel to show us around the Island, this was very good value for money.
In the evenings we walked through the main centre just outside the hotel, there were plenty of bars and restaurants.
Overall we really enjoyed our stay the hotel was lovely and clean and the staff could not do enough for you.

We stayed here for 4nights. Although the rooms are a bit small and there were no bedroom slippers, we loved everything about this hotel .The location and service was great. They also offered a good breakfast buffet line in the morning. The beach frontage is great. Although there was no lifeguard on duty, there is constant patrol by security personnel advising us where to swim and not, to avoid the rip currents. Right outside the hotel, there are lots of amenities like convenience shops and massage and restaurants . Very convenient. Only thing missing was bedroom slippers. Will come again.

My husband and I stayed for the third time here last summer. we have recieved a world class welcome! The hotel truly lives up to its motto, you get a good night sleep because the beds are extremely comfortable. The rooms are a 3 minute walk from a white sand paradise beach. The breakfast is amazing, pancakes, and omlettes are my favourite part plus the coffee is so good! Love love how central the hotel is too. A great night Life is 15 minutes walk or less than 5 minutes by motorbike. and still the hotel is very quite at night which is what one needs after a busy evening/night.
Special thanks to the managers Mrs Kesorn and Tata which are hands on. and the staff is also super friendly and helpful which is a big reason why we come back here every year.

We stayed in a standard room which to be honest for the price, was sub par for a 4 star. We only stayed 3 nights so was okay for us but it is way too small for any longer than this. On arrival there was 6 mosquitos in our room we had to kill which was unpleasant and more whenever cleaners had been in so think they kept opening outside doors. Other 4 stars we stayed in fumigate their properties and we had none there so they should consider doing this too. Bathroom is nice and spacious though weird that the small cupboard was in here so didn’t use it. Really you pay for the location and pool, which were great. It’s at the end of the strip so easy to get to and away from the big bars so no noise and the area of the beach it is on is beautiful and clear. There were not enough sunbeds on the beach front though and many people reserved beds early which was annoying. The hotel is also not sound proof and loud from people in hallways/surrounding. However, none of these issues were problematic for us and the location / beach quality made it perfect for our short stay, with there also being really lovely food in the pool bar on offer with a 10% discount. Would recommend upgrading rooms if staying longer and then I’m sure there would be no issues! The nightlife and beach in Chaweng is miles better than Fisherman’s Village which closes at 12am and we had sea lice in the sea so much more for families and couples / not beach, whereas Chaweng great for a night out and beach, location of OZO is perfect for this.

I would absolutely recommend this hotel, spotlessly clean, great selection of breakfast, big comfy bed.thw beach is on the door step literally. You might also want to look at fisherman's Village. It's a resort area in the North of the island of samui. It has a selection of hotels it's stunning all with private beaches. If I was to go back and I will it would be my choice. Loads of shops and restaurants in the village. Iv just come back from 3 week in Thailand. Enjoy.
