Having decided to treat ourselves to a special "truffe" menu we also decided to stay for the night. Our room was large, well appointed and quiet. The bed was very comfortable. We had a delicious dinner with every course made with truffles. Everything was refined, tasty and well served. Service was helpful and discreet. The wine suggested to us complimented... More

My husband has been a faithful client of this auberge for over 30 years, and indeed at one point possibly their biggest client as all his coporate entertainment took place here. When the hotel changed hands, we continued coming here, using the hotel as a base while doing business and visiting family in the Dordogne. One of the biggest reasons... More

We called with our family of 6 adults and a 10 month old baby for lunch and we received a lovely welcome in the dining room. The food was beautiful, ample and the service was top class. The menu was varied, we all ate different dishes and all complimented on the quality.

We stopped here unexpectedly for Sunday lunch and were received graciously on what was probably one of their busiest days. The dining room is both spacious & delightful and the service very smooth and efficient. We enjoyed an excellent meal with one or two first rate wines and we would certainly be happy to return again.

The room was very clean and bedding excellent. Very old "granny" furniture. No hot water in the morning and the owner didn't seems concerned when I told them I could not use the shower. He said the hotel shares all the hot water. They took us down the street to the other hotel, which was an unpleasant surprise. Worth the... More

My husband and I left Washington DC amidst a terrific snow storm in February to join a very compatible group of travelers in Sorges, France for a week of fantastic meals, excursions and conviviality with Patti Ravenscroft, our guide, and her husband, Kent. The moment we arrived (our plane was delayed a day, but no matter--we were brought up to... More

After reading all the great reviews on tripadvisor we booked a couple of nights up from the other hotels we stayed in the Dordogne. The room was a good size and nicely decorated and quiet away from the road at the back of the hotel. I guess we might of picked the wrong night as we waited 40 minutes after... More

People are friendly and you discuss with them. The meals are good and the local wine has to be tested. The rooms and the swimming pool are OK. In 20 minutes drive you are in Perigueux. Book a room to have good break in Dordogne.
