What to say: we really loved this authentic Tuscan farm at the entrance of a spectacularly well-preserved village as Casale Marittimo. The rooms are very cool and old style and the breakfast is simple and traditional. Benedetta is very gentle as well as her nice dog.
Beautiful spot to stay. Outdoor tables and chairs allow for breakfast amid the stunning Tuscan countryside looking down the valley. The place is magical. The room had exposed beams and wool rugs on tile floors. The heavy curtains, bedspreads, antique furniture and renaissance paintings made you feel like you had travelled back in time. Only met one staff member the whole time we were there. She was very attentive at the buffet breakfast ensuring we had everything we needed. The breakfast consisted of home-grown everything: peaches, apples, pears, cherry jam, kefir, and cakes, biscuits and tarts. All delicious.
This place is awesome. Great location, a few steps from the historic center and just beside an olive tree field. Wonderful views and very good taste regarding the furnitures. The rooms are so well decorated!! Paintings, antique furniture, rugs... the bathroom is so nice as well, big and remodelled. Breakfast is delicious! The swimming pool is 5 minutes away, a nice and pleasant walk through the fields. Over there there are bathrooms with shower etc. The only improvement that could be done regards the wifi, the signal is often low (does not connect) but this may be good at the end (because we can avoid using so much cell phone and because if you really need, there are some areas in the Fattoria where you can have wifi).
Rooms are decorated in a simple but accurate manner, yet very confortable. Owners are making you feel at home. A small facility with two separeted sites, ideal for a romantic escape, but also for families or friends reunions. Food is superlative thanks to the efforts of their kitchen team. Extremely good value for money.
The town of Casale Marittimo is a great picturesque town to visit and stay in. Within this town is this agriturismo situated in an old building. The room is decorated accordingly in this old style, which is very nice. Also nice is the garden which has different places you can sit in the evening and enjoy the Tuscan nights. The pool that is advertised is (like it is advertised) on a different location, I doubt a lot of people will make use of the pool, because 20 minutes walk is just too far. We didn't really like the breakfast, it offers limited choices and the quality is just ok, also the coffee tasted really weird. To conclude: This agriturismo is worth the stay because of the town/location, but it ain't cheap.
