It is highly unlikely that you have ever been to a place like this. The area abounds in exotic wildlife: capybara, rhea, birds and butterflies are visible as you walk out of your room. Combining this with a unique ongoing project to repopulate the area with giant anteaters, Jaguar,Tapir,Peccary and others make this a unique destination. We visited for four...

I had a fantastic 3-night stay here in late February 2017. What an amazing place. I am not sure where to start. The Conservation Land Trust has recently taken over the management of the hosteria, and it creates a perfect blend between the hospitality side of things and the conservation work. The grounds and the rooms, both the common areas...

We had a wonderful relaxing time at Rincon del Socorro. Horserides over the savanna, evening walking tours around the edges of the wetlands, boat rides though the wetlands along with the capybara and deer that roam freely on site made this a very special part of our trip through Argentina. When we weren't exploring the extensive site we were relaxing...

Rincón del Socorro is relaxed, spotless and friendly, particularly the guides - Ian, Omar and Lucas, whose gaucho horsemanship and knowledgeable conversation made our long ride into the heart of the wetlands fly by. The food was excellent, particularly the fruit and veg, all organic straight from the Socorro's own 'huerta'.

We went there for the nature, but at this price-tag you also expect first class service. The lodge is in the land belonging to the Iberá Conservation Project, probably one of the best conservation initiatives in the world. It was started by the late Douglas Tompkinson. We were lucky enough that him and his wife were actually there during our...

Dear Guests, We are sorry we couldn´t fulfill your expectations. People usually highlights the staff, its warmth and helfulness and we are really surprised you have felt so different. Unfortunately, some of them still remember your mistreatment, from demanding an upgrade on arrival, to the bad time during the check out, when you got angry because not being notified of...

My husband (an evolutionary biologist/ecologist/photographer) was in Heaven with all the flora and fauna in the area. Knowing about the problems in the Florida Everglades, it was a real treat to see what a conservationist like Tompkins could do. Unfortunately he died less than a week after our stay and we hope that his plans for the wetlands will continue...

The Estancia is tucked away between Mercedes and the Gaucho town of Carlos Pelligrini. The benefit is that you get to see real gauchos, amazing nature and true Argentinian hospitality. It is impeccably maintained and the meals served are freshly prepared using ingredients from the organic garden. If you are a fan of the documentary 180 South, it’s worth noting...

Getting there took some effort. But, as we were laying poolside below tens of screaming parrots, watching herds of ñandú and capybara grazing in the vast lawns and the cayman & bird-filled Esteros beyond, we soon realized this place was probably one of our favourites in Argentina

In the middle of solitary marshlands teeming with fauna and flora, but spoiled by luxury one didn´t expect, along with heartwarming friendliness of the staff, made our stay unforgettable. The guides were superb and there was a wide variation of activities from hikes, boat rides and horseback riding. The food was good, adapted to dietary requests.

“Wi fi is only in the lobby. The location is excellent - in the middle of the preservation, but very hard to get too. Road conditions are very poor (they are working with the neighbors trying to improve it. You need a 4x4 to reach it and if is rainy or after a rain allocate plenty of time. A 2 hrs road might take 5.”
