Yesterday we returned from the most relaxing weekend in the most amazing accommodation. It was the first time we had been glamping and so we were keen to start off with a bit of 'luxury' - Maythorn Yurt certainly didn't disappoint! We were greeted by Steve, the owner, on arrival who showed us around the farm, pool, shop and where...

Really enjoyed our stay in the maythorn yurt. Such unique and quirky accommodation and would recommend it to any couple who just want to go and get away from it all... We fell in love with the yurt as soon as we arrived, it was such an enchanting place. Very comfy bed! Nice and cosy with the wood fire. The...

What a wonderful way to spend a weekend away! Maythorn Yurt was cosy, quiet and well stocked. We loved all the walks and made a couple visits to the pub about 10mins walk away. The underfloor heating meant we were never cold and the hot tub in the snow was a highlight. Very highly recommended.

Wonderful accommodation, lovely walks in beautiful countryside. Hot-tubbing in the snow, followed by a lovely meal at the Butchers arms in Hepworth 200 metres down the lane! The yurt has a log burner and underfloor heating, an ensuite shower and toilet as well as a fully stocked kitchen. There was even local eggs and bacon waiting in the fridge! I...

We stayed in the Bray Cottage, our second visit. Two children aged 2 and 13. For us the best thing was feeding the animals and collecting the eggs each morning (8:30 and 10:30 am). Then with a swim it filled the mornings nicely. Steve, the farmer, was very patient with the children. We'll be going again.

I stayed in one of the lovely yurts with my girlfriend. What a fantastic experience. We were made to feel welcome by helpful friendly staff from the off. The yurt itself is set away from the farm, which gives it total tranquility. It is sold as a luxury stay and it did not disappoint. Everything has been thought of and...

Staff were very accommodating of our early evening arrival , and very welcoming, showing us all around the facilities before taking us to The Rowan Yurt . This is up an unsurfaced track so if it's likely to be wet and you're intending to walk to the Butchers Arms in the evening you'll need your boots and the staff provide a...

Stayed for 6 nights at Uppergate farm over the new year period. We had previously stayed for the previous two years at Bosinver in Cornwall which was a similar concept of a farm with activities for children. The location and setting were good and we found the swimming pool excellent with a very good system of booking it for private...

Thank you very much for your review, we're pleased that you enjoyed your stay and as you say, your daughters really enjoyed feeding the pigs, calves, ducks, lambs etc every morning and the swimming pool was a great hit too! However, we always aim to meet our guest expectations in every respect and mostly, as other ‘trip advisor’ and guestbook...

This was our 4th year at Uppergate Farm and we all had a fab time as always. We don't usually move away from the Barn but we decided to visit Holmfirth vineyard on this trip , it was very interesting listening to how the owners came to grow grapes for wine in Yorkshire! Well worth a visit and the restaurant...

Wanted a few days of quality time with my team and stub led across this place. The quality of the fit out and the facilities were fantastic (great pool, sauna and steam room). We stayed in the Barn which also has an outdoor hot tub. They had even put a couple of Xmas trees up to make the place feel...
