Called for lunch today with my husband, we were pleasantly surprised with the nice fresh exterior. We were served promptly by cheerful staff. The Sunday carvery was well worth the money, the beef was so tender it tumbled to pieces and they are very generous with the amount of meat you get. There was a good selection of well cooked...

Was staying in the area and this was recommended in the literature at the holiday cottage. We all had a variety of starters such as prawn cocktail, haggis tartlet, soup and garlic mushrooms. All were nicely presented and tasted fine. We all had the carvery and that was OK the only thing that wasn't nice was the lumpy mashed potatoe....

We stayed at the Golf Hotel on the first night of our Hadrians Cycleway holiday. It was the most expensive place we stayed on our trip but there didn't seem to be much choice when it comes to family rooms in Silloth. We expected it to be run down based on previous trips to silloth but it was a lovely...

We hadn't been to the Golf Hotel for some time but the main dining room and bar was looking very smart. I was tempted to try the potted Solway shrimps which was really tasty. We ordered baguettes which came with homemade fries, it was beautifully presented and hit the spot. Only downside was that it is slightly pricey but was...

We stayed for one night during a trip to play Silloth Golf Course. A refurbishment of the Hotel is underway which is much needed with the decor in our room on the second floor very dated. Shower didn't function properly with low pressure and only cold water at head height but hot water when the nozzle was used by hand...

Thank you for your review. Having only purchased the hotel in April our first priority was to carry out the urgent repairs to the exterior of the building. Now that these have been completed we are turning our attention to the second floor bedrooms. Kind Regards Philip Cueto Proprietor

I had a lovely attic room with a view across the green to the sea with a full bathroom and all the amenities including tea and coffee. Really cosy and clean spacious room and friendly helpful staff. A cracking full English breakfast in the morning. Really enjoyed my stay thanks!

We went here twice while on holiday in Silloth. There was 11 of us and everyone's meal was fantastic. Menu doesn't look much but you'll be pleasantly surprised when your food arrives. I can personally recommend the lamb Henry and sweet and sour chicken

The Golf Hotel difficult to find as shrouded in scaffolding and no big sign or banner with Hotel name - please do this. We chose the Golf Hotel for last minute weekend away and the fact it was undergoing a massive refurbishment was not advertised. I was prepared to be truly disappointed as on opening both our room doors it...

We visited the Golf Hotel for Sunday lunch with the family. The majority of the family opted for the Sunday Carvery which was very reasonably priced. Overall, the service was good and the food was priced in line with the quality and variety. It's a nice little place to stop off for a bite to eat. If you're looking for...

Although the hotel is getting renovated just now, the Golf Hotel is still offering a great meal, with excellent customer service at reasonable prices. The staff were very helpful and family friendly. There is a good choice of food and it really is excellent.
