Our family of 3 spent Thanksgiving weekend at the Harbourview Inn. This was our first time visiting in the fall and meeting the new proprietors, Greg and Belinda. We love the Inn - it is a great spot to relax and enjoy the local area. The fall foliage did not disappoint. Breakfast was amazing each morning and Greg and Belinda were charming hosts who helped make the weekend special for us. There are wonderful restaurants nearby for both casual or 'finer' dining. We are already planning our next visit back in 2021.

Property's Favourite Review
My wife and I recently enjoyed a 3 night stay at this wonderful Inn and would highly recommend it for anyone visiting the area. The owners, Greg and Belinda, are new to the area and the inn business, but they are naturals. Both are very conversational, personable and attentive to your needs, whether it’s a recommendation for a restaurant or a request to leave a bucket of ice in the room. Rooms are clean and well appointed, the staff are friendly and equally conversational, and a delicious breakfast is served each morning in the sun porch. We particularly enjoyed quiet reading time (and a libation) on the covered porch while watching deer in a pasture across the lane. You have access to a pool a very short walk down a shady lane, and there is a stone and pebble beach close by for walking. When the tide is out you can walk for miles, search for sea glass or dig for clams. The inn is beautifully furnished with antiques and art work, and has various areas to sit and enjoy the view or a conversation. We quite enjoyed Greg’s stories, while Belinda is more the historian and tells of the wealthy elite from Boston and New York who were frequent visitors to the Inn and area in bygone days. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Harbourview Inn and hope to make a return visit.

We stayed at the Harborview Inn, a lovely little Inn nestled in Smiths Cove, NS September 5-7 , 2020 , upon our arrival Greg "Innkeeper" met us with a fantastic smile and was very excited to show us around and explained everything. The Inn has a very clean outdoors pool Unheated, tennis court , play area for small children and a couple mile long beach, great for venturing out on the clam flats. Our room was spacious very clean comfy bed, sofa, bar fridge, coffee maker TV. Great hot water morning showers. Front porch with comfortable furniture awesome for watching the sunset over the Fundy sharing a bottle of wine. The Inn is located approximately 15 minutes from the hustle and bustle of Digby , Gotta eat at the Crows nest!!!! Seafood platter $21 huge order clams and chips $18. You are met in the morning with a warm British smile and accent and hot coffee and tea, scrambled eggs with sausages toast, fresh berries and yogurt for Breakfast. We also enjoyed the whale watching with Mariner Cruises Brier Island. It's a bit of a drive 1.45 hours including two short ferry rides . We had the 4:30 PM sailing and it was fantastic. The crew "Amy" loves to share her knowledge with the guests. You are required to wear your mask during the entire trip, social distancing is a hard thing to do on a 50 foot boat with 38 guest. Humpbacks feeding, breaching these mammals are something to see in person. Hint, when you board the boat sit on the starboard side, same side as the skipper, he likes to keep the whales on his side so he can see were they are. The crew will ask people to change sides some do but some don't only bad thing however they do allow 8 people at a time to go above on the observation deck for some awesome sights and pictures. If you are looking for a great staycation idea, the two night package with the whale watching is a must at the Harborview Inn

Stayed at Harbourview Inn for 1 night on our way back from whale watching on Brier Island. Family of 5 (2 adults & 3 kids) accommodated in suite 21 of Winchester House. Everything was superb, the room, the facilities & especially the hosts. Greg and Belinda and staff really made you feel welcome, wish we had booked for a week! Suite was perfectly suited to our needs, kids had a ball in the outdoor pool and breakfast was perfect. Highly recommend! Richard and Gina

Upon arrival we were greeted warmly by Inn keeper wearing a mask and socially distancing. We were introduced to the property and our room which was very well appointed with the most comfortable queen bed, air conditioner and all the amenities. Since it was 28 degrees C outside at the time the air was most appreciated. Our golden retriever was also warmly received by our hosts. The property is very large and nicely maintained with lots of walking paths and a nearby beach and pool for the use of the guests. Overall it was a 5 out of 5 experience. Nothing was missing. Our hosts were friendly and very engaging. Will make it a stop in our future holiday plans. Doug and Vicki and Tilley
