The Corinthia Palace Malta, nestled in a tranquil location, garners praise for its cleanliness and the exceptional service provided by its attentive staff, who ensure a highly personalized guest experience. Although opinions on value vary, with some guests raising concerns over unexpected charges, the hotel's comprehensive amenities, including various dining options, a pool, and a spa, are frequently commended.
While the luxurious atmosphere is generally admired, the rooms receive mixed reviews, with some finding them dated and in need of refurbishment.

Hotel's Favourite
The staff at Corinthia Palace are very friendly and helpful and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. My partner broke his foot about half way through our stay, and they made every effort to help us, even lending us a wheelchair for the rest of our stay. Everything was very clean, although the rooms were slightly dated, but I understand a refurb is due soon. I found the beds very comfortable, but they were too soft for my partner who prefers quite a hard bed at home. The food options were very high quality and we dined in each restaurant. There were excellent vegan options in the cafe too. The outdoor pool area was lovely and immaculately maintained. Breakfast (which was included for us) was a very high standard and more than I could eat! I don't think I've had the offer of a starter and a main course for breakfast before, plus pastries on the side :). I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Malta. Getting around was easy too, we signed up to the Bolt app (Malta's Uber) and used these to explore the island - cheap and quick to arrive.

My wife and I first stayed at the Corinthia for one night 6 years ago when our flight home from our honeymoon was cancelled. Ever since then we have wanted to go back, and our great first impressions were confirmed. From the moment the concierge took our luggage before we had even set foot inside, we were treated superbly by the marvellous staff. We were given a welcome drink at reception, and a free room upgrade (presumably by booking direct with the hotel). Our room had virtually every facility we could have wanted, wardrobe, safe, laundry bag, tea/coffee, mini bar (though you have to pay for that), dressing gowns and slippers, toiletries in the bathroom. The TV even had a personalised welcome message! One little quibble was that the only English channels were 24 hours news, but we could cast Netflix, Youtube etc from our phones, so not a problem. The room is made up every day, and when we were out in the evening, we came back to find the room made up for bedtime! We took advantage of the gym facilities, though the spa and indoor pool were being refurbished. The only meals we had were breakfast, but the breakfast room was amazing. Helpful and friendly waiters, plenty of variety available (continental, hot, local), even a pancake maker! We were invited to the Caprice Lounge Bar to sample their new canapes and cocktails, and again the staff could not have been more welcoming and friendly. The hotel also has a free courtesy bus to take you to places like Valletta and St Julians. To be honest, everything about this hotel is first class, even down to the ambience with a pianist playing in the background, and in the current circumstances, hand gel in public areas. It's convenient for getting around, with the bus for the airport (X3) right outside, and the San Anton Gardens across the road are well worth a visit. So a big thank you to Adrian Attard and all his staff, especially Ronald our concierge. I think we will definitely be back!

I was staying in Malta on a business trip, and the company put me up in the Corinthia as they were having a 'sale' on their rooms. I picked a 'Standard' room, which essentially was the cheapest on offer, and it was lovely. Queen size bed, great shower, quick WiFi and the option to pair your devices (e.g. smartphone, tablet, laptop) to the TV via Google Chrome and watch your shows on the big screen! Room had a lovely balcony with a great view of the forecourt fountains, and the bed was very comfy, and huge! Sat and had lunch outside on the Sunday, which was a grilled tuna 'sandwich' and fries - excellent! And I cannot recommend the breakfast strongly enough - the choice between cereals, fresh fruit, Maltese style breakfast buffet, continental style, cooked and even doughnuts and fresh pancakes were the best I've ever seen!
I ate in the hotel on a couple of occasions, the first being at the Orange Grove, This doesn't seem to do many 'full' meals, but a wide range of snacks and bites. I can recommend the steak sandwich and fries. I also tried the Rickshaw chinese restaurant, which is in the basement. The food is amazing, if a little expensive but worth every cent. Great service too, which brings me on to my last point - the staff. They were wonderful; polite, helpful, courteous, even to the point of remembering your name which is no mean feat in a place this size. The hotel is huge, and although the spa was being renovated they were happy to bus you to the sister hotel to use the facilities there. The outside restaurant was closed (understandable given the time of year) but would have liked to try it. I think the only downside really is the location, as it's a little out of the main town but there are the San Anton gardens directly opposite which I would have loved to visit, but time wasn't on my side as they closed before I finished work. Simply amazing hotel all round, and one of the best I've ever stayed in.

7th heaven = a state of intense happiness; bliss ... and such is the ethos, ambience and comfort of the Corinthia Palace Hotel in my opinion but, then, I have been here before and know what to expect. The location in a 'quiet' area beside the Presidential Palace in the island's centre and away from bustling tourist parts helps.
So what can I say that is not repetition? Well, some known faces have gone and have been replaced with staff who have quickly adopted the correct attitude and customer care approach ... for example, being recognized and welcomed by name from arrival and throughout the visit. From managers to domestic service, and all in between, they remain superb.
I chose to eat in the Orange Grove Brasserie owing to some Festive restrictions in the other restaurants. The menu and quality of the fare satisfied my needs.
The hot / cold breakfast buffet was excellent.
My only wee niggle was that my third floor room was close to the street with some traffic noise (small minds, big exhausts) but still comfortable. That will not stop me returning. It's already provisionally arranged. Roll on December 2020.

Once again we are having a great time at Corinthia Palace. What is most impressive, apart from the usual excellent service and high standards in all areas, is the extra safety precautions taken in the fight against Covid19. Our room was super clean and even sanitized before our arrival. Social distancing is easily achieved here as there is ample space for dining or breakfast in The Villa restaurant. Masks are to be worn around the property, but once seated, it can be removed. The impressive buffet breakfast at present is handled as a table service for "starters" and once you go for the "full English" the buffet is set behind safety barriers with servers so as to not have people handle spoons and so forth.
Overall another great and comfortable experience. This hotel must have the best beds in the world! The staff as always will go the extra 2 miles to assist and the general standard of this hotel is superior as always.
Well done team!

An unfortunate and unacceptable experience for a hotel of this category and prestige. The breakfast service is a complete disaster: some waiter does not even wear a mask (in the middle of the pandemic), the waiting times are eternal (even going in for breakfast at 7am when there is no one else in the room), the same dishes on the Breakfast menu are absolutely different (in quantity, shape and food) every day and today even with the gift of a chef's hair among the fruit, we must add the behavior of children running around, shouting and touching everything with dirty hands,..., just disgusting. The room service is not much better since the card to change or not the sheets is purely anecdotal, whether you put it on or not leave them dirty, one day arriving into the room at 4pm it was still not ready, the courtesy waters half of the days didn't appear and the premium waters that customer service promised we would have daily have been appearing randomly at the rate of 3 out of every 7 days. The reception service never has a clue of anything and the problem happens to the following: the room opening card does not work ... they make the customer go down to reception twice to reset the card with no success, then the manager will come up at the end (in bad ways ) and tell you that the door does not have the batteries properly, that tomorrow you must ask reception to change the bateries -why not today?- (looks like they have a fantastic communication in the team) and that if you go out today you will notify your return so that reception comes to the room to open it; If the safe fails, the technician must come 4 times to repair it; the spa where we had a water session in the package, no one has been able to tell us for sure if one day we will be able to use it, much less have they offered us an alternative; getting towels at the pool is an odyssey, ... In summary you are staying in a theoretical 5 * palace with a service at the level of a hostel with a bad reputation.

Ended up staying here after a false start at a hotel in Silema (moved after one night because of overcrowding and awful location). We came out to view the hotel and straight away knew it was the place for us. The staff welcomed us warmly and in the current Covid times it was encouraging that we had our details taken and temperatures checked. We stayed in a deluxe room with pool views, the rooms were immaculate and really spacious with everything we needed. We used the pool and the pool area everyday and again could not fault the cleanliness or the facilities. The pool restaurant and bar were lovely too. The staff were always really friendly and helpful. I would highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a quality hotel, relaxation and great service. Would love to return someday!

We have just returned from yet another, our 16th time there, wonderful holiday at ‘The Corinthia Palace Hotel & Spa’. This time my husband & I celebrated our 30th wedding anniversary. We have spent numerous anniversaries and birthdays there, the staff always spoil us with cake & bubbly. This year we were concerned about travelling due to all the uncertainty surrounding COVID-19. However, on arrival at the Corinthia we were immediately put at ease. The management has put in place every measure possible to safeguard its guests and staff. The level of attention to detail, courteousness and ‘old style charm’ is why we keep coming back year after year. Nothing is too much trouble and we consider the staff, old and new, as our Maltese family.
The hotel is situated in the centre of the island, opposite the palace. It’s so quiet and tranquil. Don’t be put off by the location, as there is so much to see and do there. With Malta being such a small island nothing is far away and busses are cheap and plentiful. We always hire a car at the airport, that way we can go wherever we please. Like the UK they also drive on the left. The hotel’s spa has just had a huge renovation and managed by the wonderful Suzanne, it is awesome. Truly a sight to behold!
The hotel has a number of places to eat including ‘The Summer Kitchen’ and the extremely popular ‘Rickshaw restaurant‘, asian cuisine, which is unmissable. There are also plenty of restaurants within walking distance of the hotel for example, Sarachinos, Melita and Jailie’s in Attard and
Fra Giuseppe and Opera Balzan.
Each year we say that maybe this time we should try a different hotel in a different country, as BC (before Corinthia) we could never understand why people would keep returning to the same place. However, we are hooked and in the words of an old Maltese friend we are ‘repeat offenders’. 😂
We love all of the staff there, but would like to say a special thank you to a few of them who made this trip so memorable for us.
Jenny at the Villa Corinthia.
Raymond at the Villa Corinthia.
Sanje & Lizio at the Villa bar.
Memeley at the Rickshaw.
Suzanne at the Spa.
Kevin, Jimmy & Nicholai concierges.
Not forgetting the lovely housekeeping ladies, sorry we don’t know your names.
Nothing was too much trouble for them and they all contributed to making our holiday a wonderful experience, yet again!

We booked this hotel as it was a little outside the main city of Valletta. It has all the usual things you would expect from a five star hotel, but its big strength is the hotel staff. Nothing is tho much trouble, they love helping out their guests and everyone greets you with a sunny smile, even the busy chamber maids who are amazing.
I have a mushroom allergy, not very common apparently, but the chefs and restaurant staff made huge efforts to tell me what I could and couldn’t eat from the menus. Several times they took pleasure in cooking special things for me - I felt very spoiled.
The bar and restaurants were excellent, including a wonderful Chinese restaurant downstairs.
The only drawbacks were slow WiFi and the bus or cab ride needed into town.
Highly recommended, we had a wonderful two weeks there.

Today, I decided to visit The Corinthia Palace & Spa to try out its newly refurbished Spa and Pool area...what a wonderful surprise! I discovered a tranquil, clean, welcoming spa and gym facility, staffed by a friendly and approachable team of people who did all they could to make my time with them refreshing, enjoyable and unhurried. Likewise, I also took time to sample the pool area and outdoor restaurant, where nothing was too much trouble and everything was served to perfection. I particularly enjoyed my swim in the glistening pools, sipping on iced tea, which is well worth a try. I have no hesitation in recommending this place to retreat away from every day life and get away from the hustles that usually fill a working week. If you enjoy peace and serenity, with a fine twist of quality, surrounded by green and colourful gardens, then this is without doubt the very best location in Malta.
Well done all... I look forward to visiting again, regularly.

We did not book an Executive Room the basic rooms were excellent good size well furnished with a balcony. The executive rooms do seem to give access to a separate sun terrace but I couldn’t say what it was like or whether it was worth the undoubted extra cost. TBH I seldom think the additional privacy v cost ratio makes these things worth the money.
Yes, we can use the indoor pool while staying in the hotel, free of charge!
Dear Hobgob,
Thank you for your interest in the Corinthia Palace!
We offer a 3 course choice from our A la Carte menus, which can be seen on our website, from the Villa Corinthia or the Rickshaw restaurants.
I hope this information was helpful and remain at your service for any further assistance.
Kind regards
