We were actually not staying at this hotel (I cannot find the restaurant and that is why I am writing a review here and am rating the rooms as average even if I have not seen them) but We were staying at the Paradise Beach Resort next door. But we decided to try out their restaurant. I really wish we...

I think New Lapaz is good for budget travelers. We stayed in a fan only bungalow for 400 bhat a night and it was pretty good. The staff was really nice and helpful, beware they will charge you for every bhat so make sure to confirm all prices in advance of buying. Comfortable beach chairs great for lounging with a...

I went to New Lapaz Villa in February 2010. Friendly staff, a bit 'less the waiters, who never smiled. The rooms were at most of the efficiency, safe working order and not a problem with hot water, but then all settled. Also there was a funny manager european woman. (always in topless) The beach was clean, but the water doesn't...

Beware of this hotel. Breakfast is beneath contempt. Arrogant manager running around topless everywhere, including the kitchen, along with two dogs, which are not liked by the guests. If you want to cancel the accommodation they try, by all means, to impose additional costs. Do not stay here!

I only write this review after visiting in Mar 09 and after seeing the previous reviews, I wanted to put my own thoughts- as previously mentioned you get what you pay for but the owner/manager (an Israeli woman of some ego and self worth) creates a negative energy amongst the staff and visitors - the entire resort seems to revolve...

We took the New Lapaz for a 8-day short leisure stay in February and we can say, that the hotel has already seen better times. Several facilities are neclected (deskchairs old with rusty nails, deskchair-materasses not enough for all customers, so everybody is going to store his material on his own terrace). Especially the management-staff can be extremely unfriendly. It's...

We all know that you get what you pay for in this life and this place just proves the point. It is cheap and cheerful. There is nothing wrong with it that couldn't be put right with a bit of money spent, it just needs updating. It could be so nice, with the right management. I booked the place for...

I wish i found these reviews before I booked. Our stay was absolutely terrible! As mentioned in other reviews is the service at the desk terrible. They are grumpy and won't help you out at all. Our room was small (not a big problem), the bed was awful, the mattress was very old, the shower not warm and the water...
