Decided to stay here due to quarantine regulations in Grenada. This Radisson advertises having a separate quarantine pool. Since we are in quarantine for 7 days, it seemed worth the extra cost if we could access a pool. Surprise, surprise, the lagoon pool that is the designated Q pool is out of service. Beach is literally steps from our balcony, but off limits. Upon arrival Wednesday, we were told the pool was usable-but it was green and lots of debris. When we asked again on Thursday night, out of desperation, we were told by maintenance that there was a leak, and they were trying to repair. Pipes dug up everywhere. When we called front desk just now (Sat and only two days off from busy work schedule), they knew nothing about the pool being closed-but quickly called back and said the pool was being drained for cleaning-no idea when it would reopen. So there goes our weekend. Back to work on Monday with no relief from our basic hotel room. It’s a great idea in theory, but we feel misled. Will be interesting to see if management tries to make amends. …
Stayed here after quarantining at another hotel. Great location, friendly staff & really a good value. Good food & drinks as well, especially breakfast. Great location on Grand Anse & you can walk to other restaurants & shops if you'd like. There's also a grocery right across the street. Dont hesitate to book!
Please do not travel as you quarantine to your room upon arrival even with a negative pcr test. I do not understand the logic as visitors are coming to use the beach and not mingling with the local. To be quarantine to your room and not be able to use the beach or walk around the hotel property with a mask makes no sense. I strongly advise do not travel to Grenada. You are force to eat the hotel food which my daughter ordered Angus hamburger which was not at a Angus burger. She took one bite and threw it up.
We had the Chicken & waffles, the fishcakes & bakes, breadfruit fries, wedges, french fries, coleslaw and everything was absolutely delicious. The service was quick and the portions sizes were also very good. We plan to repeat this on Fridays
The hotel was lovely and a good bargain. The dive center is right on the property and the hotel staff was wonderful. The pool and the beach were really nice. The food was also very good, but we would have liked more variety. The menu is the same throughout the hotel so you only have about 20 things to choose from, which gets a little monotonous over the course of a week (although the chicken roti I could probably have all day). That said, there are other restaurants on Grand Anse beach that you can walk to (either along the road or the beach). Just ask the staff, they'll point you in the right direction. There is also a grocery store across the road from the hotel. I will also say that the breakfast buffet was great. And did I mention the staff? Seriously, we would go back just for them. The absolute nicest people. So caring and hard-working. We loved them! The only real major negative was that they specifically advertised as having babysitting services, but don't actually provide them. We chose this hotel specifically because we wanted to get a babysitter for New Year's Eve. I called ahead and asked if we could reserve a babysitter in advance for New Year's Eve and they said we had to reserve it at check-in. When we got there, no one had any idea about babysitting services. We ended up asking one of the nice hotel staff (but there was a miscommunication and she showed up 2 hours after we were expecting her, so we just stayed in with the little one, which was actually nice). So just be aware that they don't actually offer babysitting services, but if you are comfortable with it you can always ask one of the lovely hotel staff. Many of them are moms themselves and they love kids! (See evidence in the photos I posted - everyone wanted to hang out with my son!)…
