The hotel staff is very friendly, Irene introduced us to the legend of the island of Naka, we arrived earlier than the original check-in time, she was careful to prepare an additional room for us to wait for our Villa to finish, and warmly recommend a good mango flavor of wine.
The sunset ceremony at the Z bar is very romantic, the restaurant manager is very friendly and attentive to tell us about the sights and stories of Phuket, and always cares about the arrival of our meals.
We chose to stay in the Garden view villa with private pool, the space design is very special, mosquitoes are not much imagination, and the environment is comfortable.
The public pool is moderate in depth and is suitable for the family to play and empty. The resort was expected to offer all-inclusive activities and services, but many facilities and activities are still subject to additional fees, such as a water motorcycle, some courses and evening boat service, the equipment in the gym is obsolete and there is no water drinking machine. But overall still a very unforgettable holiday experience!

Stayed for 3 nights, a good private island away from mainland phuket. Checkin was smooth, we stayed in a beach front villa, the villa size is big but the room is small. Although the villa is about 5000 sq ft the usable area in that space is much smaller. We are vegetarian we had informed the hotel much prior to our arrival there was one vegetarian option in the breakfast buffet every day. We visited 2 restaurants in the resort both were decent. Staff in general are good but can definitely be better. All hell broke on the second night of our stay when we found big cockroaches coming from under the bed the kids ran from corner to corner. For a property charging THB 40k/ night it’s not justified. Following day they got the room cleaned and offered high tea as compliments. Second issue we felt was privacy!!! Our beach front villa had so many uninvited guests always freely walking past from inside our villa and crossing over to the main pool area. Complained to staff not much changed. Beach front villas are not the best option if someone’s looking for privacy. Housekeeping staff can be more mindful, litter was left behind everyday specially around the beach access area. The beach itself is small but the best part is its shallow and one can swim or just lay around inside the beach for as long as possible the waves are mild. There some water sports activities as well. Spa is fantastic it’s huge and the therapists are extremely friendly and professional. My son asked me to give a 4.5 star since that option isn’t there I’ve given 4 stars. The minus for privacy and pest control issues please take care of it and hopefully we’d return someday.

Dear sgg0405, Thank you for your detailed feedback. I'm glad to read that you enjoyed the private island setting, smooth check-in process, and our spa services. I appreciate your comments on the villa size, vegetarian options, and restaurant experiences, I will work to rectify those points that can be influenced. I regret the inconvenience caused by the pest issue and privacy concerns. Your feedback is valuable, and the resort will address these matters to improve our services. I hope to welcome you back in the future for an even better stay. Sincerely, David

A lot to digest? Read an AI-generated summary of recent traveller reviews.
From the moment you arrive, the hotel takes are of everything. You arrive at the lounge at the marina, where all the administration is done while you enjoy a drink. Then they take you on the 5-minute boat ride to the island, where a buggy and assistant awaits you. They'll drive you through the resort and then deliver you at your villa.
We booked a Naka room, but got upgraded to a 1-bedroom Suite with private pool and garden view. Excellent and great way to spend time with our toddler. With your own pool, there is literally no reason to go anywhere else than your villa..if you wanted to.
The villa's a great. Not that fancy, but a good size and clean! No AC in the bathrooms, but they say they are going to renovate starting next year and include AC in there. No problem for us, only a day visit to the loo could be heating up ;)
Bumped into the GM (David) on a walk, who takes the time to talk to every guest. I have to say the staff were really special. Everywhere in Thailand you will mostly get fantastic service, but here they go above and beyond. Our little toddler soon made the rounds with every staff member, making sure she got here favourite drink without even having to ask. Special thank you to Bua and her team at the breakfast bar.
The Z-Bar was our favourite spot on the resort. They have a sunset ceremony daily, but we mostly just relaxed on the couch. The team at the Z-Bar reserved our spot every night and were truly so kind. You can't have dinner at the Z-Bar, but on occasion we had a large lunch and then at some snacks which was more than sufficient.
We really recommend walking to the local village. There is a 'restaurant' there, which costs maybe 50% compared to hotel prices and we had the best food experience in that restaurant. No ambience, tile floor, but just plain fantastic Thai food cooked by locals. We also walked to the beach on the other side of the island, go in the morning. During the afternoon the beach gets crowded with boat tours.

Just completed a 4D3N stay with my wife and daughter. Below average stay compared to my other Marriott-associated stays. Positives: - Room upgrade with Bonvoy status. Thank you, Naka, for that! - Attentive staff who are constantly watching out for guest needs. The swimming pool staff are always on stand by to provide water for guests. Also, the response time, max 5 mins, to villa requests is impressive (compared to other Marriott and non-Marriott stays in same category) - Secluded island with good guest-staff ratio and good guest-dining table ratio - Complimentary afternoon tea! Thank you for the lucky spin item (although the spin could have drawn up a blank!)
Negatives: - Airconditioning in my villa was not working properly. At 26 deg celsius, it was freezing. But when you adjust it to 27 deg cel, the room becomes incredibly stuffy. I had to wake up several times every night to adjust the airconditioning. Big letd own in my perspective! Please fix the thermostat, Marriott! - Staff English profiency levels were not consistent across the entire team and we had some miscommunications. Some team members were good w English, but others not so. Compared to other Thailand-based Marriott hotels in the same tier, the Naka team needs to help other team members with communication! - The beach/water quality was a let down because there was some construction going on next to the main beach. The consequent murky waters did not leave a good impression. - Lack of bicycles. Too few working bicycles across the day. Guests who take the bicycles in the morning do not return them in the middle of the day. So guests who want to use the bicycles in the afternoon are left disappointed. - Billing process. As with all other Marriott hotels, please help to ensure final billing is done at the end of the stay, and not at check in! (there was some attempted service recovery, but was insufficient)

Everything about this stay was fantastic: the location, the facilities, the attentive staff. We arrived on the island early, but the room we reserved was being cleaned, so they prepared another room for us and we were able to relax freely. The villa with the pool was spacious and even had a steam sauna, which helped us warm up our cold bodies in the pool.

Like most luxury resorts, this location is stunning, and the amenities are perfectly adapted to whatever needs you may have us a guest. Jaw dropping seaside views, the sunset bouncing off a glittering pool, and the piña coladas served at the luxurious restaurants makes you want to stay here forever! However, what made this resort truly special to us was the professionalism and warmth of the staff who works there. They made our trip unforgettable, seamless and enjoyable every single step of the way. From the restaurant staff members to the cleaning crew , their happiness and positivity through every day was contagious! I don’t think my family and I have ever experienced the same level of service before. We would like to call out Bua, Noom and Mabel, who truly stood out in their customer care. Thank you so much for a heavenly experience we will never forget! Stay at Naka Island!

The majority of the experience was top notch. Great home-like atmosphere created by the team of professionals, that try to make day a special experience for you and accommodate all your requests to their best abilities. Kids club deserves special attention as in many places I have been to it is usually till 6 max 7pm and small kids are not allowed to stay w/o parents even if there is a older sibling present. Here is was a charm, closing at 9pm, allowing small kids if there is anyone else present even if it another grown up kid. Above all kudos to the personnel, they are really trying to create an experience for kids (film nights, beach strolls learning about fauna etc.) Cleaning team comes twice a day and every time cleaning as per quite good standards. Room service is quick in response, no issues here at all Breakfast is very good, my kids still ask for some delicacies in the morning after we left Hotel management is responsive and ready to accept problems and correct them. This is a special thanks to manager Siri for wishing to make improvements in some areas that I had major issues with - I am not going to go into details here as I rely on changes that team is willing to make Couple of improvement areas that I still wish to list that I might have missed highlighting to hotel management: - bikes needs replacement / repair - had issues with rusted gears - spa requires a bit of consistency in approach, same massage done by different therapists does not just have an interpretation but is sometimes completely different. Creates an impression that there is no particular approach to it, just "do-something-like-that" (do not get me wrong we received quite good treatments there but repeating those with different therapists created the mentioned impression) - Wifi coverage could be better, there are blind spots across the hotel and even in the villas, nothing serious but when you need to have a conf call you better stay in one place (on the other hand why do you need a conf call when on vacation - silly ah ?)
I would have definitely given a 5* review, however, it would not be fair to hotel as well as there will be no improvements in order to make this spot a magical one For me definitely a place to return next year

Our first hotel during the trip: quickly and easily accessible from the airport and just the right hotel to arrive after a long flight. We had a villa with a private pool and sea view. I think there was an even more expensive category - but ours was particularly great because we looked north into Phang Nga Bay. The villa itself was a bit dark and not super modern, but it was super clean and well furnished. The bathroom area is not air-conditioned and has an indoor and outdoor shower. The outdoor area was great with two loungers and a hut with daybeds.
The large pool was nice, but it was more of a family pool than particularly quiet. The ocean was great to look at, but not the right place to go swimming as the beach is rather muddy and stony at low tide.
The sunset bar was exquisit.
The restaurants were of good but not impressive quality (except for My Grill, where we had a wonderful dinner, thanks!).

The resort is amazing with plenty to do and staff are very professional, knowledgeable, and friendly. They work so hard and get things done instantly. They made us feel comfortable and welcomed. Khun Bond was the best! He made us feel really special from the moment we arrived. At the recreation area, May was very friendly and actually approached my husband and me. I thought that was really nice because we absolutely had no plans for the day in an island unfamiliar to us. Because of her, we enjoyed a friendly conversation, sports activities, biking around the island and seeing the small village and the beach on the other side, beer yoga, and getting to know more about the Naka island. I had a great time learning Muay Thai boxing as well. The teacher was really thorough and professional. Yoga with Khun Dome was really great and another employee, as well. It was great to start off the day walking and seeing all the birds and yoga activities. In the afternoon, we enjoyed jet skiing around the whole island. At the ZBar, Mew was exceptionally kind, conversational, and made us delightful drinks. The Tonsai restaurant is wonderful with a huge selection of delicious breakfast options and Thai cuisine. I love the juice bar in the morning! The young guy making the juice has a genuine smile, for that I can honestly enjoy a nice glass of fresh squeezed juice! So refreshing! The villa with a pool and sea view was absolutely amazing. We enjoyed every bit of it and became one with the nature. We took advantage of the pool while bird watching and enjoying the sea view. My husband and I loved that we had the option to shower outdoor after swimming in the pool while enjoying the garden surrounding and birds singing. It felt like a real vacation. We enjoyed the daily turn downs and room service dinners in our villa. We want to send shout out to all the wonderful and hard working staff here at the Naka Island Resort! You certainly made our vacation the best time ever! We would love to come back soon!

This special day needed a very special location. We have visited the Naka Island resort many times in the past years and so we thought it would be a good choice. After the booking of a sea view pool villa through Bonvoi, we got in touch with rooms operation manager Khun Sao and she promised that everything would be well prepared. We were absolutely not disappointed. The kind and supporting staff did everything to make our stay exceptional and wonderful. On arrival, we found our bed nicely decorated with flowers and a chilled bottle of sparkling wine was waiting. Especially Khun Noom from the „Rum Chapel“ restaurant spoiled us with food and he invited us for the romantic private dinner in the beach sala on our anniversary day. Everything was perfect and we are looking forward to our future visits at this great hotel resort.
