We came here on the spur of the moment to get away from the rain in Koh Samui so we didn't do our usual research. The place is a world onto itself behind gates and up on it's own private hilltop with stunning views all...More
The hotel itself is excellent, the staff is excellent, but I just underestimated how far it was from everything else. If you plan on spending your entire time here then it would be an excellent choice but we were constantly going out to places like...More

The weather averaged 35 degrees the first two weeks of April. As you leave the amatara you walk left on the main Rd where there is a long beach rd, lots of good restaurants. We ate alot at the blue wave, great massa man and penang. Good prices. Also unknown by many if you go to the entrance of the hotel they will run you down to the main Rd in a buggy. On the way back ask the security man at the barrier to call for a buggy to take you back to the hotel. All part of the service. Also try La Moet boat trips. I'd go back to phuket just for that. Good value, great hosts and they will show you islands you wouldn't normally get the chance to see.
Sea view is literally just that. For me, it ended up being a lot of bushes and hardly a sliver of ocean. They moved me to an ocean view which was on the second floor and at the extra cost it was worth it. It also overlooked... More
