I returned to Arctic Lodges for the 6th time in late August of 2023 after a few years off. This was by far my latest stay , as I usually went in early July previously for trophy trout that kept my lines tight in the early season. However, I was completely enamoured by the aggressive pike action late in the season. It was so much more than I could have ever imagined. The stay at arctic lodge was once again way beyond my expectations when it came to food, service, and trophy fishing. Kelly and Andrea deserve a special thanks for operating an excellent lodge . I’d also like to thank, zach, my guide for another ultimate trophy season that far exceeded my personal goals for trophy fish. See you next year!

My 3 adult children and I just shared an experience of a lifetime! We’re mostly from the Midwest US. We like to fish but don’t fish a lot (think sunnies and bluegill). Everyone juggled schedules and family just to get there, which is, in itself, a real challenge! But we picked a WINNER! And we caught fish! Boy did we catch fish! Each one of our four days fishing, just got better and better! And the staff at Arctic Lodges took care of everything - so we could just eat, sleep and fish! Professional, friendly, engaging and helpful, sums up our interaction with the truly wonderful staff, who just wanted us to have a great time. I suggest you read the Lodges suggestions and recommendations several times - they were right-on! Good rain gear is critical, even if it doesn’t rain. The protection from the wind and occasional rough water is a key. Due to logistics, and the fact that we don’t own much equipment or tackle - we rented rods and reels and purchased our “guide recommended” lures right at the lodge - perfect! The cabins are clean, comfortable and cozy. The boats are comfortable and efficient. The food is excellent! Shore lunch is quite a treat! Our guides were professional, extremely knowledgeable, flexible and fun. We chose to fish together… and the fishing was truly amazing. Plan a trip and go! The plane ride into camp is just the beginning of a “once in a lifetime” adventure!

Room Tip: Dress in layers. Full rain gear is a must. Internet is very limited (which is a great thing.)...

Got the opportunity to repeat a trip with my dad to Arctic Lodges. We first visited in 2018 and decided that we had waited too long to go back and booked the trip again. I often wonder if the second trip will be as good as the first trip since expectations are much higher the second time around. All I can say is that Kelly, Andrea and the staff along with the huge northern pike exceeded our expectations yet again. The fishing was truly world class. Over 4 days, we landed 7 pike over 40 inches including 2 that went 45 inches. Probably lost just as many before we got to land them. The amount of pike in the 30s was amazing- they were all fat as they are stocking up for the winter months. The cabins are rustic, but very clean and well kept. It was so nice to come back from a long day of fishing to a made bed and a warm fire on cold days. The beds were very comfortable which helped us rest up the tired muscles. Where Arctic Lodges separates themselves is the service. The food is wonderful. Every dinner is 4 course, from hors d'oeuvres during happy hour to warm apps, dinner then dessert. The lunches are shore lunch prepared by the guide and was plentiful, and hot breakfasts were a great way to get the energy level up for a great day of fishing. Every member of the staff was friendly and provided whatever you needed. Just ask and they make it happen. Morning and evening fires were just wonderful, and with no bugs around, the entire group of guests spent many hours around the fire every night talking about the fishing from the day (with a few embellishments I’m sure - after all we are fishermen and fisherwomen). And a few nights the Northern Lights made an appearance for those of us that stayed up. Finally, our guide Peter was absolutely amazing. He was so receptive to all of our questions asked. Not every place produced fished, but if they didn’t we moved. If they did, we caught fish after fish. If you are looking for a lodge with outstanding service and opportunities to catch world class fish, Arctic Lodges is your place!

My daughter and I just returned from our adventure with Arctic Lodges. I learned a long time ago not to speak for her but my observations and listening to her descriptions of our doings and our time there have made it safe to say I think she had as good a time, or better (if that is possible) than her father. We were treated like royalty, the meals were superb, the place—though we did not get to see the Northern Lights—was what we wanted, peaceful and quiet. And we caught fish—a lot of them, some (very) big. Our guide, Zach, was knowledgeable, informative, and accommodating. He cooked terrific lakeside lunches from the fish we caught in the morning. And he made “bannock”(spelling?) which I can best describe as Indian frybread over an open fire in a cast iron skillet that was … the best. If I have one thing I might have changed, it was that I wish I had taken my 8 weight fly for out two days earlier. There is nothing that I have ever experienced—and I am from Montana—like a 38” northern exploding on the surface after you fly. My daughter would agree (I think … laughing). Maybe catching her own fish, which Zach taught her to do fly fishing, she would say was better. Finally, they made us feel like family. And they made us feel like it was genuine. And, in the end, they made us feel like we were part of theirs. Kudos.

My young son, brother, and I had the opportunity to fish and stay at the Arctic Lodge on Reindeer Lake in July 2022. The fishing was absolutely unbelievable. Grayling, Walleye, and Lake Trout were big and plentiful... but my focus was on 40 plus inch Northern Pike. We caught multiple fish over 40"! The cabins and lodge were rustic but very nice... and food were truly first class. The guides were professional and hard working... and made the best shore lunches I have ever had. It was a VERY exceptional trip for a father, son and uncle! My boy will never forget it... and neither will I!

My son and I traveled to Arctic Lodges for a fishing trip in late July. The accommodations and cuisine were everything we hoped to find. The staff was remarkably friendly and attentive. Our guide Zach was nothing short of incredible! He was responsive to our goals and so knowledgeable of lake I am in awe. He was absolutely tenacious when it came to finding fish - changing locations, presentation, and tackle with perfection. My son boated six trophy pike in three and a half days and we were never without action. I have never had a finer guide - period. And holy cow can that man cook a shore lunch! We will never forget our trip.

This lodge has continued to be first class in its fishing, it’s guides, it’s food and the hospitality and service. Very comfortable feeling and social staff make for a great stay. The lodge itself is located on a beautiful remote property that keeps your phone camera out of your pocket. And not to mention the best fishing that myself and my family have ever experienced in Canada, especially the Northern Pike. The Shore lunch experiences were also one of the best of the trip. Per usual, see you all soon!

My father and I just finished up our fishing trip here and it was one a lifetime. Kelly and Andrea are the best along with their entire staff (the guides, staff, chef, and maintenance crew). We had the good fortune of having Greg as our guide and he was excellent, incredible fishing and a ton of laughs (also beyond great shore shore lunches). As a bonus, we were lucky enough to see a Woodland Caribou swimming and then run out of the water to shore while we were moving fishing spots. Everything here is top tier; the fishing, meals, lodging, scenery/overall nature, and most importantly, the people - all of them were incredible. We will never forget this trip and hope to be fortunate enough to come back in the near future. Thanks again to everyone at Arctic Lodges for such an incredible overall experience!

Once again our group had a spectacular fishing, lodging and outdoor experience with Andrea, Kelly, Simon and their entire team. The guides were fantastic. Our group of 11 had each person land at least one trophy size (40 inches plus) northern pike. We all caught pike, lake trout, walleye and several landed grayling as well. The accommodations were excellent, the food superb and creative and a happy staff at all times. After so many years of coming here, it is no wonder we’ll be back again next year. Thanks so much Andrea and Kelly!!
