Cliche as it sounds, Namibia is beautiful, and the Hohenstein Lodge, its location, is no exception. In some ways it reminded me of the US southwest, especially Arizona. The architecture is geometric: squares in terra cotta and cream colors set with a backdrop of rugged mountains. The landscaping is just lovely-such a basic word but I can't think of a...

We only stayed for 1 night during our self drive safari but we had a great time. We were greeted by the German owner and shown to nicely decorated rooms (little stone buildings). Beautiful bathroom, everything worked and great mattresses! We took a little dip in the pool before the excellent (included in our stay) 3 course fixed meal. At...

This lodge was where we stayed for our first two nights in Namibia. The rooms were large, airy, and very well appointed. They were clean, large and had good bathroom facilities. The wifi was free BUT confined to the main buildings around reception. The rooms were simply too far away from the wifi router to have this facility in individual...
