Our experience at Atlantis Bay was truly magical. We knew we chose the right hotel the second we pulled up. The beautiful gates opened, the smiling valet knocked on my window and asked which language we prefer to speak, then preceded to tell us to leave the car and everything in it and they will take care of it all. We walked down the uniquely designed entrance to find amazing views of the bay through the floor to ceiling Windows and the beautiful smiling faces of Roberta and Sonia who offered us our pick of citrus infused water and a special toy for our toddler. After checking in, Roberta showed us to our room and gave us a tour. There was champagne and treats waiting for us, beautifully displayed. The pristine marble bathroom was stocked with designer (Etro) toiletries that smelled amazing. And our terrace and views are what people dream about when thinking of a trip to Italy. The pool and sea are to die for accompanied with handsome lifeguards who offer warm, scented towels to dry yourselves and a quaint beach bar with great cocktails. The next morning we attended breakfast (included) where they had a lovely champagne bar and food buffet style with staff ready to help at each section. Simona and Salvo helped us at each meal, always having our table reserved and a high chair sanitized and ready for our little. Their service was incredible, always smiling, helpful, and had very useful suggestions of things to do in the area. We were having such an amazing time we had to extend our stay an extra day. The hotel itself is marvelous, quaint and picturesque but the impeccable service is what really made the place unforgettable. We were greeted with smiles, staff always ready to help, and most of them even had our names, faces, even room number memorized within hours of being there.. Just when we thought it couldn’t get any better, I was relaxing on my terrace while my daughter napped. Heard a knock on the door and it was a staff member delivering complimentary champagne and fruit, and he kept apologizing for the bother since the baby was napping. I told him there was no need to apologize when delivering champagne, ever. Just another nice touch, every day the maid would come in and turn down the baby’s crib, fold her clothes, set up her toys, place a candy on the pillow, and even sprayed the crib linens with a fresh scent. The hotel is in an amazing spot but the service was just unparallel to ant service we’ve ever experienced. I apologize for the long essay (if anyone is still reading this) we just could not say enough about this amazing place! We will definitely be back next year and can’t way to try some of the other VRetreats locations!!

We have just returned after a week here, we had a sea view room with balcony. We can only endorse other recent comments. The hotel is spotlessly clean. The staff are, to a man or woman friendly and attentive. What struck me was that this extended to everyone. It was noticeable that the laundry/room staff were often equally helpful and friendly (rather than floating around unnoticed). My wife visited the spa on several occasions and was much impressed. The breakfast is really good with something for everyone. Due to our failure to bring sufficient clothing they kindly rustled up a heater for the room - much appreciated. We used the restaurant twice in the evening and ate lunch on 5 occasions. The food is of high quality and the staff helpful and knowledgeable. Churlish perhaps but I felt the restaurant was a bit on the pricey side, its really the only criticism arising from a week long stay.

This is a five star hotel with impeccable facilities and service. It’s location is right by the sea with all rooms having wonderful sea views and balconies to enjoy them, however there are also many comfortable areas to sit around the hotel, by the sea or pool or in the lounges., The hotel staff are friendly and always eager to serve and a real asset to the hotel. Without exception they greet all guests with a smile and Bon giorno!
The breakfast is excellent with a wide range of choices and the dining room located at the lowest level with views over the bay. We dined there one evening and the food was excellent if a little pricey, but not excessively so, given the standard of hotel. They prepared a dish especially for my somewhat fussy husband!

Guests should realise however that a main railway line runs immediately behind the hotel, although the frequent trains pass quickly, their noise is rather loud. Our room, a junior suite also suffered from constant noise on the balcony only, from a lift or similar machinery, which prevented anyone on the balcony hearing what was being said inside the room. The room was large and very well appointed, but would be improved with a mirror in the bedroom as those in the bathroom steamed up and therefore couldn’t e used until they cleared.

Atlantis Bay is well positioned with bayside water access, a lovely swimming pool and outstanding food service, including a fine dining restaurant. Breakfast is incredible.

The big negative point was our room. We paid for an executive suite because it was newly renovated and we needed a seperate living space. The executive suite does not meet expectations and is not a true suite. It is one long room with a bedroom one end and a living space at the other. Unfortunately this meant we couldn’t put our kids to bed and enjoy one of the other spaces, as you would expect to in a suite. Also, the renovations were obviously done on the cheap, in a way that is not fitting of a five star establishment and the price they charge. The floor is floating floorboards, the marble is 3mm marble facade, the cupboards are cheap laminate. Wires are visible near the ceiling and plasterwork in the bathroom is poor. The finishes are budget, this newly renovated suite reeks of cost cutting and does not feel luxurious in any way. This was a big impact on a stay that we paid top dollar for, only to realise the owners had not invested the same in the room.

Despite this, we had an excellent time. The true asset of this place, however, is the staff. Warm, friendly and dedicated to providing excellent service.

Firstly, the staff was amazing. Really friendly and helpful. The views are amazing and the beachfront is beautiful. On the downside, we didn't realize there would be as much train and traffic noise. It wasn't terrible but it is there. Secondly, for a five-star hotel, I would expect that all the electrical plugs would work and we wouldn't have to keep the patio door propped open with a chair. Small things but over all we really enjoyed our stay there.

Very nice hotel, but there are definitely a few flaws. To start with the good, it is mostly renovated which is very nice and modern. It looks more modern than most other hotels on the beachfront there. The pool and beach area is very nice with a. Direct view to the sea and mountains. Beware there’s no actual sand, but it is on a bay with nice clear water and you can get a little boat directly from there. Get a renovated room as these are nicer. We paid extra for the executive sea view suite which I don’t think was worth it. We were told there was a separate living room, but there was not it was all 1 room. The room was also right above the restaurant on the second floor and near the meeting room so it was very noisy. One day we were woken up at 6 am by staff loudly banging around setting up for a conference. I don’t know why they would put one of the most expensive rooms in the hotel in that location. The housekeeping was also lacking, there were times she barely cleaned our room and there was visible dust all of the floor, towels not changed, etc. once we raised this the supervisor did come to check on things. The service for drinks at the pool is very slow since there is only 1 or 2 people working the whole area at a time, I think having more people to service drinks would help with this. Luca was amazing and made great drinks and gave great service. Alessia the concierge was also very efficient and helpful. The breakfast included with the room was also very good and we had lunch once which was delicious. All of the staff works very hard to make everyone happy and have a great time

Fantastic location. Walking distance to Isola Bella with its own waterfront and boat slip. We stayed in the Atlantis Bay Suite, which while dated from an interior design standpoint, boasted outstanding views, spacious rooms, his and her bathrooms and a bed larger than any two people could need. The staff ensured that our plunge pool was heated and we truly enjoyed it. Marco the bartender was particularly helpful, as was Luca. Breakfast was great including their traditional Granita with whipped cream. I was very disappointed in the Godfather Tour. And as mentioned by another reviewer. The Unforgettable arrival by boat is on a somewhat dilapidated boat, but we found the captain, Alex, to be charming and the scenery pretty enough to still be worth it. Great trip and highly recommend it. Also the little shops outside the resort make amazing hand sliced deli sandwiches to go for about 7.50 euro if you get tired of the fancier dining.

There are hotels and then there is the Atlantis Bay Hotel, a jewel in the crown of Taormina!

Just back from a wonderful, relaxing and rejuvenating 7 day break at the Atlantis Bay and already want to return!

What we loved most - the SERVICE, the location (both in terms of panorama and convenience), our room (though a few tweaks needed in design!), and the overall ambience of the Hotel.

What makes the Hotel really special are the service levels across the board. From the moment you enter through the gates you have the friendliest concierge to meet and greet you (Rosario). Of course once you are at the Reception you are enveloped by the warmth and smiles of the Manager Sonia and team - Gaia, Federica, Bruno (from Mars!), Walter, Denise, Alia and Alexis at the travel desk. Every staff member you encounter greets you!

The room we were given (103) was a refurbed, modern suite exec room and had three balconies. Very spacious and clean, decorated very minimally and tastefully. However, it could do with a full length mirror and a towel rack in the bathroom which is for very tall guests! The other thing is the wardrobe is on a platform which could be a potential trip hazard.

The restaurant and beach bar - great breakfast spread but slightly repetitive (pls don’t ask for French toast, the Chef doesn’t know to make it!). Service by Orazio, Simona, Francesco (special mention), Chiara, Inez and Emily was great too. Never drunk soo many cappuccinos in all my life!

Salvatore, Caterina, Luca, Giovanni at the Beach Bar were great too. Great fried fish!

I could go on and on about the virtues of the Hotel…we would love to return for sure!

This is a five star resort with all the details taken care of. We were lucky to be upgraded and our two adult daughters also with a room near ours. We drove around Sicily for three weeks and this by far was the best breakfast and bay we swam in. It is a very expensive hotel to stay at compared to other places but the room amenites and food quality especially the buffet breakfast along with spectacular location are worth the splurge. Giuseppe at front desk, Claudia at concierge, Sara at breakfast and even all the young men parking cars were all so friendly and hard working people always ready to help out. They have hired well. The guys at the pool were all quick to help with umbrellas and the towels in bathrooms were so luxurious. Luxury in Sicily. We enjoyed our short walk to Isola Bella and an arancini street food for lunch on our own beautiful deck at hotel. But the bay at Atlantis is equally as beautiful to look at and swim in.

Will start with the positives, it’s a beautiful setting right by the sea directly on the water, lovely. Breakfast was also really good and the staff at breakfast were great.

We booked this for our first year wedding anniversary and we were really looking forward to it. However, on 2 days/evenings of 6 nights there were weddings on. The hotel is quite small and every room faces the sea, you are almost in the wedding. The weddings go on till 12am - 1am, and they are soo loud and honestly the staff are uninterested not apologetic, just say “we will speak to the wedding coordinator”. When you are paying over EURO 1,000 per night this is not what you expect. I am also pregnant and we wanted to have a relaxing trip, but the first night having a loud wedding on till 12.30am and then again two nights later was really upsetting. The staff don’t even inform you of them, you just find out when they start.

Cleaning staff weren’t great, some days no housekeeping till 2pm and we had to call reception to tell them, no clean towels other days and no bath robes on the last evening - it almost felt like they wanted us to leave. I did not feel welcome and warm like we usually do on holidays.

They tried to amend damage of two weddings and everything else, by giving us a meal which was in Taormina town, we had to arrange a taxi ourselves and honestly this was not a great restaurant so we were upset again that we had ruined another evening for the hotel.

I just want people to be wary when booking this hotel because if you are used to 5 star holiday experiences then you will be disappointed because this is not it. The staff honestly don’t care about guests, there is no customer relationships, they are uninterested and many don’t even great you when leaving or entering the hotel. Not worth the money.

I had sea view room either floor 4 or 6 can’t remember but it was not noisy. Not sure where/when those reviewers were from. The only music is on the evening at the restaurant and my room overlooked the pool/restaurant and you could barely hear it outside on the patio of the room. Noise was not an issue.
