Great hotel! Nice personnel, especially Sophia! She's very kind, speaks GREAT English and is always happy and optimistic! Super-Sophia! She really helps bring everyone together and enjoy the activities. It would be great if the other entertainment staff spoke English though😁

Upon arriving to what seemed to be a very nice hotel, we were told our room was not available. This was the case after having booked our room on expedia 5 months prior and having paid for it in full! How absurd is that !! They wanted to accommodate us in another hotel that was basic to say the least....

My husband and I stayed at the Sciaron in mid September 2012 to celebrate his birthday and our wedding anniversary. We wanted a relaxing, chilled out holiday where we didn't need to do anything but enjoy the time away from home. The hotel was lovely and clean and the room we occupied had fantastic views over the beach and coast...

Good food. Nice view. Friendly staff. Steep path down to the beach. A free shuttle often went to the beach. Clean and tidy around the hotel. Very beautiful in the evening. The hotel had free chairs and umbrellas on the two beaches.

We had a week at the Sciaron from the 06/10/12, booked through thomas cook - purely because I had a voucher. Wonderful location & really lovely place, we paid extra to have a bungalow but kept the half board deal. The staff were amazing and very helpful; just one thing to note - there is no lift to the first...

We stayed at this hotel from 20 Oct for 7 days. Having read the reviews, we were a bit concerned: we needn't have been. It was the end of the 'season' so there were only 24 guests. The hotel was very clean, the restaurant staff friendly & we had the perfect sea view for no extra. Delicious Italian cuisine was...

Came to the hotel sciaron for our honeymoon end of July for two weeks, couldn't fault it, food was superb, staff didn't speak much English but why should they, we are in their country. They looked after us so well and we actually came away speaking some Italian. Owner actually ferried us around to Tropea and train station etc.Paid our drinks...

Calabria is hilly and this hotel has one of the finest viewpoints in Italy. Stromboli is hazy in the distance, Sicily looms on the horizon and the blue sea and sandy beaches complete the picture. The Sciaron is run by a courteous family, and (as long as you have your phrase book) will organise and help you. Plenty of aubergines...

“Rooms om the east are quieter.”

“We were in room 222 which has an excellent sea view & views to Sicily. There may be a charge for a sea view. Beware, there was a charge of €5 per day for use of the room fridge. There is also a charge for using the safe & AC. The hotel balconies are quite small & a very odd shape.”
