We stayed in the Tiree twin bedroom which was a bit cramped, but was well furnished with a large bathroom which had a good sized oblong shower cubical and new shower unit. Staff were all friendly and helpful. Lounge bar meals were a tad expensive, but there's no competition and it's winter after all. Could do with a light snack...

Just had a couple of nights at this lovely remote village Inn. The food was very good, had prawn cocktail first night for the starter it was delicious just the right amount of lettuce lots of prawns and warmed tiger prawns round the side and not a piece of fruit cocktail to be seen yum. Fantastic wee overnite at a very remote destination, total relaxation and the scenery on drive up was amazing, really forgot how beautiful Scotland is....Dinner was great and no issue with breakfast, plenty of cjoice on offer and very prompt and courteous service. Tried the Pougues Irish whisky, well didn't have an option as one of the kind locals we got...

Room was clean. Decor starting to look rather tired. Mattress way to soft that you can actually feel the bed base through the mattress when sitting on the bed. The room was warm but the radiator was very noisy. Curtains unlikely to have sufficient black-out effect in summer months. Shower was spacious and provided a good stream of hot water....

First impressions count when checking in to accommodation. We arrived at the Galley of Lorne Inn at 3:10 pm. We rang the bell and took note of the message on the unmanned Reception desk suggesting we be patient and wait for someone to come. 20 minutes later we rang again and waited a further 20 minutes. My wife decided to...

I'm sorry if you felt this way, but as discussed many hotels close during January. We stay open with limited hours so that we can provide a service to our local community and guests throughout the whole year. I fail to see how it is our failing that when making your booking the previous day you were unable to access...

We Booked the 3 night Hogmanay break at the Galley of Lorne with family, arriving on the 30th Dec and staying until 2nd Jan. On arrival, we were greeted by Marek who showed us to our rooms, Uist and Skye, and given details of meals times etc. Following a long drive the gentlemen retired to the bar where Marek was...

We stopped at first because the place was on our way to "the North", but the kindliness of the staff, the quality of the night (room, bathroom, bedding) and the activities in the neighbourhood definitely will make us coming back for a longer stay.

We stayed here on a very cheap deal through groupon. It was for 3 Nights but we only lasted 2. The first thing we noticed was the smell of foist as we entered reception but it appeared restricted to that area. We were shown to the uist room. Which appeared ok. That night on getting into the bed we found...

I visited The Galley of Lorne for a short break from the city and can't recommend it enough. Travelling on my own for a few days peace I was made to feel very welcome, with extremely friendly and helpful staff. I am lactose intolerant and often find eating out very difficult but the chef and bar staff were fantastic, alternating...
