No relevant remarks about this nice hotel. Good breakfast, rooms have a good size, location is ok (but not very close to the nice Rugen coastline). The night we stayed there, 3 busses with tourists were staying at the hotel (without causing overload in the breakfast area). The nearby village (Bergen) does not have much to offer, so it would have been nice if the hotel would have had an "internal" attraction. The lobby areas are large enough to do such a thing (e.g. a cosy bar area, ...),
Stayed here for an extended weekend during the national holiday - I had booked very late, so most places on the beautiful coast of Ruegen were full. This hotel has an inland setting, in Ruegen's capital Bergen (which is quite a nice town, actually), close to a major highway. It's fairly new, with spacious, comfortable rooms and overall a rather bland ambience - the place has clearly been designed with package crowds in mind, of which there are many. Individual travellers should be prepared for the company of large groups and a certain amount of noise. Breakfast, taken in a not-very-cozy, very large dining hall, is excellent; dinner is average (there are a few alternatives in town though), and staff are nice and, on the whole, professional enough. Summary: Not a bad alternative in case you can't find somewhere to stay by the seaside.…
Big rooms, clean, friendly staff. Excellent breakfast, dull buffe in the evening. Wellness area is ok but you have to pay a fee. Good place to stay if you want to explore the island Ruegen . Not much to see in the town.
They put us in a room right above a big wedding party. We called the reception and they told us that our room was right above the party. They moved us into a more quiet room right away, which begs the question: if they know they have a party going on, why don't they assign their guests to more quiet rooms right away? The design is rather old-fashioned. Breakfast isn't very good, not up to standard of hotels in similar price ranges.
This hotel reminds me of the late DDR. Orange uniforms for the staff and dinner is with lots of cooked vegetables. The room is nice, large with a old fashioned decor...green and wood....Very clean and with a view over a park, so very quiet. Large bathroom. Breakfast is good, but the lunch box is something I could do without. One day we had a large schnitzel in the lunch box...to eat with your hands? One day a cold sausage. Not my idea of lunch. The dinner was also a step back in time or a meeting with the kind of german food one could do without. Lots of marinated, cooked vegetables. No fresh salats. Lots og herring and very sweet desserts. Not really my kind of favorit food. Not that you couldn't find something to eat. One day they hat chicken, tasted nice, not overcooked or anything. Cooked vegetables wasn't overcooked. But again, I would have liked som fresh salat and a choice of other side dishes other than the extensive use of marinated cooked vegetable. Internet is free but remember to get an access to each device. Staff is overall nice, especially the nice french born lady who do the eggs at the breakfast table. She has a lot to do in the morning and sometimes she was the only one in the restaurant, so we had to ask her, to ask the other staff members to get more cheese, more milk and so on. Dont know why the other staff were doing on those very busily mornings???? But a nice visit with some lacking. But we had o nice time in spite.…
