The Miramonti is so far the best hotel we've ever stayed in. Everything from the staff, the facilities, the room, the design and the atmosphere is just marvelous.

Upon arrival you are greeted with a welcome drink as the room is prepared, giving you time to relax and adjust your mind set to the hotel's calm atmosphere.

We stayed at the Q Suite which was just amazing! Perfect design, extremely large, great views and it's so cool to enter through the secret door that's separate from all other rooms.

The spa, pools and entire forest area are the best we've ever seen - with countless options to explore, which makes you feel all alone and relaxed even when the hotel is fully booked.

The hotel staff are truly life savers - and helped us with every little problem we had (including a drone accident!). We felt truly at home at the Miramonti.

We will definitely come again, perhaps in the winter next time :)

We stayed in January this year to celebrate our Anniversary. (This is a late posting!) This was our 6th visit to what we feel is our second home, Miramonti (we got married in Merano and celebrated our wedding here, so this is very special to us) and, as always, we were not disappointed.
In fact, booking to stay in the Q suite, ended up surpassing our previous stays, it was just awesome.
We were greeted by Magdalena in reception, very welcoming and always professional, then we enjoyed our ritual glass/glasses 😁of Prosecco on the terrace. A nice touch was a bread board and ham to enjoy with our Prosecco. This always starts our stay brilliantly.
A pleasant couple of hours later, we were shown to the Q suite. Having stayed previously in the Loft rooms and 007 room we did not know what to expect and didn’t think it could be any better. We should not have worried, the Q suite is spectacular with lots of hidden gems. Love the secret entrance and the floor to ceiling views of Merano and the Dolomites, along with the secret wine chiller 🥂.
The room was, as usual, spotless and the bed as comfy as ever. We had booked the Panorama restaurant for dinner each night (we would advise booking well in advance). The food, as always, was delicious, and seeing Marcello (Maître de) and Elma serving us (they had both served us on our wedding day), is always a great pleasure for us.
It was also lovely to catch up with Klaus, Carmen, and their son, Jacob.
We could write lots about how good Miramonti is, we would suggest you see for yourself. Sunset viewed from the infinity pool in January followed by a chill out in the quiet room is worth a visit in its own right.
We just can’t wait until our next visit 😁.

We had a very nice stay here.

The service was mostly excellent.

Couple minor exceptions the front desk staff are often interns who don't know many things. We were told by two different people that decaf coffee capsules for the room aren't available, only to find them in the spa on our last day.

Also the young lady who showed us our room, told us we cannot control the temperature, all the rooms are the same, the only way to control the room temp she said was to light the fireplace. On our last day we found out that you can indeed turn on the floor heating.

The hallways for some reason are very cold.

The water pressure is very low, at least it was in our room.

The lighting in the room is poorly engineered, no dimmers, overly bright spotlights with little control over individual lights.

The finishes in the room are medium quality modern , not very luxurious. Think greek island microcement in the bathroom with maple veneer ikea looking cabinetry (but not ikea, the quality was a few clicks above)

The restaurant had quite good service and quality. And the prices of both the food and wine were very reasonable.

The pool was quite lovely, since it's an adult hotel, it would be nice if it was textile free at the pools (the saunas already are).

The treatments at the spa are reasonably priced for the region.

Mohammed the gentleman from Gambia needs a special shout out. He's an absolute gem, friendly, professional, polite, and an incredibly hard worker.

The breakfast needs improvement, it's quite limited comparing to other luxury options in Germany /Austria/Tyrol. An egg/omellete station cooked to order is definitely lacking.

All in all I would return despite the shortcomings.

This is the first time we stayed in this hotel, and we can only recommend it. Mr Klaus, who is omni present, his wife and the super friendly staff do their upper best to give their guests the most comfortable stay.Everything is really well thougt, up to the smallest detail. The hotel, its spa amenities and the surroundings are overwhelming. The food is suculent, the wine list hides a lot of treasures, and prices in general are very reasonable. We therefore hardly recommend it. A big bravo to the whole staff.

I can only describe the hotel and location as magical. Pictures do not do this place justice. It is truly something you must see and experience for yourself. They have thought of everything. The pools are amazing and the onsen was our favourite as it was so warm! Although I do have one complaint - on our last night we ordered room service and I had received the wrong order so the waiter went to change it and bring me what I had actually ordered. Upon checking my final bill (after paying) I had noticed that they have charged me for the incorrect order which was 10 euros more. So although it is only a small amount of money, it is the principle of things.

Stunning and atmospheric hotel on the edge of a forest, overlooking the beautiful Merano valley. The facilities (infinity pool, forest onsen etc.) are beautiful and conjure up a forest fantasy in the Italian Alps, perfect for getting away from it all.

Our room (Owners loft) had the most incredible view over the mountains and valley (without the pool traffic to interrupt the tranquility). As a result we opted to eat on our terrace every evening , also to avoid the busy public spaces in these Covid times.

Service was attentive but can improve, and the only real downside is that the hotel was very busy during August, making it difficult to enjoy the pools and others facilities, which were often fully occupied.

Our stay at Miramonti was sublime from start to finish. Greeted with broad smiles and a cool refreshing local apple cider, we then checked into our immaculately clean and stylish 'basic explorer' room. For two full days we plunged in the warm waters of the stunning infinity pool, steeped in the hot onsen pool and enjoyed the spring sunshine on the terrace. Breakfast is a rich, generous offering of delicious breads, granola, juices, continental meats, cheeses and even a nutella machine! Nearby pretty forest walks offer a mindful way to explore the area. Evening food at 'the classic' is affordable (€14 modest plates), classy yet unfussy and welcoming. Service throughout is slick, friendly and personal. This was a special 'splash out' stay for us, a couple on our babymoon, and we felt welcome and valued throughout. Credit to Klaus' family and team for creating such a splendid, serene and calming retreat in the Südtirol.

This is one of those hotels that one HAS to visit. The views are simply incredible the hotel is stylish and the staff very obliging and openly taking pride in their work.

We stayed in a more modest room simply because everything else was booked out and were very happy waking up to a breath taking mountain view every morning. I cant remember the last time I slept so well and so long ! Regarding the rooms they all have a view so you cant get it wrong :-)

It is the perfect hotel for couples looking for the ultimate romantic break and includes private outdoor niches with sun loungers, whirlpool, yoga room, relax corner all built directly into the mountain. The wellness area is outstanding and the thought which has gone into to it makes it very special The infinity pool looks even more impressive in reality than on the website.

The only thing we did wrong was not booking it for longer but that just gives us a good excuse to return !

We spent a wonderful week at Miramonti, in a large room in the so called Owners House. The room was large, with a nice balcony overlooking the Valley and a super comfy bed. We ate in all three restaurants and were very happy with the food and service. An advantage of the Owners House is That yours get special seating at breakfast offering the best views, something we enjoyed after our daily morning swim in the infinity pool.

I can highly recommend their forest breakfast, for 50 Euros they prepare a private breakfast on a viewpoint in the forest which we enjoyed a lot. We also took part in a wine tour that got us private tours of two vineyards.

The spa is just excellent, several saunas, partially with valley views, two infinity pools and plenty of beds spaced all around the hotel so that every guest finds a space. We will for sure be back.

Miramonti is an amazing place: the view, the spa, the people, the surroundings

We stayed in the beautiful rooftop loft. It was newly and thoughtfully designed. The amount of light in this space is unbelievable. You have to be there to experience it. We felt recharged immediately we entered the room. The view of the valley is the best. It is a wonderful place.

We arrived on Wednesday so we immediately joined the wine tasting activity with Klaus. I would highly recommend it as you would learn more about the local wines and the inspiring story of how Klaus and Carmen built this place. It was great to meet other hotel guests too, they were all nice people.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay yet there is always something to improve. In fact, we were horrified when we picked up our car, which was covered in dust, soil and wet leaves fallen from trees after heavy rain. This happened due to the lack of visitors covered parking spaces that night. The car was left for valet parked and it ended up in the outdoor staff parking area (this was to our surprise as we were told the car would be re-parked in the covered area once the next space was freed up). We informed Jenny at the Reception of the issue, she kindly offered us free drinks as gesture of goodwill and arranged to help us wash down the car. This was a small incidence, otherwise our stay would have been perfect. We included this in the review only because we would like to be back and hope that the valet parking service would be improved.

Hello, the nearest airport is Bolzano or Verona. The transfer costs from Bolzano to MM would be 130,00Euro and from Verona to MM 400,00Euro. Kind regards

Answer from SteveZug

There is only one ski area in the vicinity which is Meran 2000. The base station of the cable car is 7km from the hotel. If you are big into skiing, better pick a hotel in the Dolomites - much more variety and bigger ski areas

Hi, the closest airports are Verona, Innsbruck and Bolzano. The hotel can probably arrange a transfer from these airports. I agree that a car is the best option. Cheers
