My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at Hermitage Bay. The people are so lovely and the food was delicious. The beach is very relaxing and we loved how quiet it was. We needed a break from reality and this place delivered. We would HIGHLY RECOMMEND this resort!

Hermitage Bay is quite unique as a hotel as with only 27 suites you are rewarded by near perfection in every aspect of a holiday. My wife Sally and I were celebrating our belated 25th wedding anniversary and were looking for a relaxing break that still offered fine cuisine, beautiful settings, spacious accommodation and great service! Hermitage bay gave us...

A once in a lifetime week at Hermitage Bay - luxury and impeccable service in the perfect setting of a half moon bay. Special things: the friendly staff who treat you like family; a high quality menu with a focus on fresh and local; sailing one of the hotel's catamarans off the beach and racing round the bay; the sound...

We loved the villas with private infinity plunge pools, the fantastic food from a CIA trained chef, the kind and efficient employees who provided perfect service in all departments and the overall feel of an eco-friendly resort that was in every way luxurious and perfect. The beach was the best we've seen in the Caribbean.

Hermitage Bay is one of those rare finds- a small luxury hotel on a beautiful secluded beach where you can relax and enjoy the lush tropical surroundings with complete comfort, privacy and discretion. From the moment we stepped into the reception hall to a warm welcome from the staff, we felt in safe hands to kick back and savour every...

Hermitage Bay is an absolute treasure of a discovery. The staff, location, beautiful suites, food, grounds and eveything about the place. For us, it was perfect from start to finish. I particularly loved the way the suites seemed to be at one with nature. Exquisite wooden villas carved into the hillside. You must take a boat trip with Devon, the...

Incredibly relaxing and chilled out place. We stayed in a room higher up the hill with amazing views over the bay. Unforgettable to watch the sunsets while luxuriating in the plunge pool. Our room was spacious and tastefully furnished and really put a smile on your face when opening the door. Great food, brilliant facilities, exceptionally friendly and helpful staff....

We spent a week at Hermitage Bay - I have to say it is the most beautiful place. Not only the scenery, sea, beach, villa but the staff are extraordinary. Nothing is too much trouble and their main aim is to make sure that you have the most wonderful time. Thank you for much for a 'never forget' experience

The combination of a perfect location, great accommodations, incredible staff and service, and some of the best food you'll ever have results in an experience that is both memorable and almost impossible to improve upon.

Such an amazing hotel. The detail is so impressive - for example, most hotels will have metal rooftops in Antigua but this hotel has a wood material roof for each of its 27 villa suites (very important if it rains in the night in terms of keeping down noise). Each suite blends into the surroundings really well. The food menus...

Dear SJB2012_08 Thank you for your review and kind words. We are delighted to hear that you plan to come back and will be trying out a different category of suite. Many people have a dilemma having experienced both types. We'll be interested to hear your thoughts next time. Best wishes Andy

~ Conde Nast Traveler 2015 Gold List Winner ~ The quiet, independently owned Hermitage Bay is comprised of just 27 luxury cottages so that "even at its busiest, the place seems remote and quaint." Whether visiting for the first time or returning as a friend, you'll enjoy a welcome familiarity and "sensation of belonging" from the moment you arrive. Tucked into a beautiful bay in one of the most secluded corners of Antigua, it is perfect for those seeking to escape the hustle and bustle of city life. Spanning 16 acres of lush tropical gardens, our eco-chic, luxury hotel provides all the comforts of a 5 star resort without compromising the natural habitat that thrives around it. Our open-air facilities, extensive beach and detached rooms allow you to unwind in isolated luxury. Each of the 7 Beachfront and 3 Garden Suites features a spacious split level lounge and patio, while the large wrap-around decks and private plunge pools of the 17 Hillside Pool Suites afford the added luxury of soaking up the Caribbean sun from the privacy of your own sun bathing deck. Whether enjoying lunch by the pool, dining in the beachfront restaurant, or having breakfast in bed, every meal feels privately catered. The menus change daily and feature freshly squeezed local juices, locally grown produce, and organic ingredients. At Hermitage Bay, all dishes are prepared to order, special requests are encouraged, and we are always happy to help with dietary requirements. “We loved the beachfront suite. We looked at one on the hillside and while beautiful with a plunge pool, the convenience of being steps away from the water, bar and restaurant far outweighed the view. Loved going to sleep to the sound of the waves. ”
