Nice Chalets, half house half tent, everything is there, braii, rock swimmingpool .Close to the Namib Lodge with a good Restaurant and your breakfast room. Wifi is only at the lodge available but good. There is no aircon only a sort of cooler/blower

If you offer wifi, it must be there. If you suddenly can not arrange wifi after booking, there should be a discount. Dinner should be à la carte too. Offering only buffet makes people feel they are being pushed. Beautiful scenery.

The room was clean and even had a well-working fan. It rained heavily at night but this did not hinder us from getting a good night's sleep. The bathroom was also clean and nice. However, the wifi in the lobby did not work very well.

We had a lovely stay at the Soft Adventure lodge, next to the Namib Naukuft lodge. In the desert...not easy to find, but a warm welcome, lovely food, friendly staff and super rooms... The atmosphere is happy and friendly. You can see the sun go down while having dinner. Altogether good value for money.

The price was included in the comprehensive cost of the tour (organized by African Extravaganza), but I believe a single room costs 1175 NAD in a bed and breakfast accommodation. Lovely location in the desert, one hour drive from Sossusvlei. The shape of the structure is so that from every room one cannot see the next door, so if your...

Extremely friendly and helpful staff that makes you feel welcome and valued. The accommodation is good value for money and has everything you need. The location is picturesque with the most amazing and breathtaking sunsets that can be viewed from the communal Lapa/social area.

We stayed at the Soft Adventure Camp for two nights and really enjoyed our stay. The rooms were very clean and the atmosphere was great. From the common braai place and pool you have a wonderful desert view. Breakfast was a bit expensive for the value, so maybe plan ahead and buy some groceries in Solitaire before you arrive if...

Incredible tented camp in the middle of the desert- stars and splendid isolation! Really great place to spend a night. Just beware of the extortionate dinner at R300 a head, and you're not allowed to braai your own meal!

Rooms are comfortable without being luxurious, set in a semi desert landscape which is fantastic to see, with clumps of rock dotting the plain. There is a very small waterhole just by reception which attracted ground squirrels and birds including from the huge social weavers nest nearby. We went for the sunset drive which was fun, although we didn't see...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Namib Naukluft Lodge The best spot to experience the living desert is on our 13,000 ha farm, which was pronounced as a private nature reserve in 1999 and hosts the upmarket Namib Naukluft Lodge. Stunning sceneries invite you to nature drives and walks. Enjoy your stay in unexpected comfort and friendly hospitality. The Lodge offers a variety of activities and we recommend a stay of two to three full days. Enjoy the ever-changing pastel colours of the beautiful Pro-Namib. Use the morning hours for an easy climb to the top of one of the adjacent granite hills or a walk in the vicinity. Explore the diverse flora and fauna, where the trees grow seemingly out of the stones. Relax at the crystal clear swimming pool during the heat of the day. In the late afternoon you may join a ‘sundowner’ – drive to the natural marble mountains on the farm. Listen to the evening sound of the barking gecko – a concert never to be forgotten. The clear night sky invites you to an unreal stargazing experience. Try to spot the Milky Way and the Southern Cross! We’ll show you the oldest desert on earth. Our friendly staff will make your stay unforgettable. Welcome to Namib Naukluft Lodge – your desert dream! Namib Naukluft Lodge offers 16 tastefully furnished rooms with en-suite facilities and a private, spacious patio with a striking view. Excellent traditional meals are served in the restaurant, on the adjacent verandah or in the boma from the open fire. The lounge and pool area offer a relaxed atmosphere after an active day in the desert. The Sossusvlei ExcursionOn a daily basis, an excursion to the popular dunes at Sossusvlei is offered. The tour is conducted by an Englishspeaking driver /guide in a 4 x 4 overland vehicle. Secure your seat and book in advance. An early morning rise, with a snack before leaving, enables you to arrive at Sesriem, the Park’s gate, at around sunrise. Enjoy this unique desert scenery with some of the highest dunes in the world. The dynamic and star-shaped dunes are ideal for the keen photographer. Climb one of the over 300 m high dunes and you will be overwhelmed by the view. A full breakfast is served under shady camelthorn trees. Visit the Sesriem Canyon before returning to the Lodge for lunch. The Naukluft Hiking TrailIf you are fit and active, we offer a 2 hour hiking trail in the mountains of this 13,000 ha private nature reserve. Your hike will be accompanied by one of our nature conscious guides. However, you may also walk it by yourself. The trail is accurately laid out, a map and a radio will ensure your safety during the hike. Extend your Sossusvlei Shuttle for another day to experience the Naukluft Mountains – the other side of the desert ! ... more   less
