We just spent 6 fantastic days at the Tagish Wilderness Lodge where Sarah and Gebhard customised all our activities to suit our fitness level, so even having bad knees meant that we still managed to sample, dog sledding, snowshoeing, ice fishing and ski-dooing. It truly is a wonderful place to spend a week sampling all the Yukon winter has to offer and then in the evenings relax by the fire. Sarah created restaurant quality meals morning, noon and night. As if by magic, we even got to see the northern lights the 'Aurora Borealis' on our last night there. Thanks Sarah, Gebhard and Ben for making it happen. I highly recommend the Tagish Wilderness Lodge as a place to sample a winter wonderland of activities.

I stayed 3 days and 2 nights in Feb 2018. From -35C to -28C the first few days day to -16C and 1C the final afternoon I was lucky to get the variety. The provided winter clothes were amazing and I was warm the entire time. The cottages are cute, with wood burning stoves for heat and loads of firewood and kindling provided. The down duvet is cozy and there is enough space to store your things. The scenery is gorgeous. I went snow shoeing every day along different routes. I also did a half day dog sledding adventure with MC which was such fun! The dogs are so cute and MC was a lovely teacher and guide. I went to the lake each night at 1am - sitting in lawn chairs in the vast darkness with a starry sky was peaceful and very special. And... the food was so delicious, and plentiful. Sarah just made each meal delicious even with my dairy and gluten allergies. Quite impressive. The sauna is HOT and a welcome retreat after a cold hike. And one more thing: don't underestimate the skiplane ride in and out. Stunning views, such a nice pilot, and let's face it... landing on a frozen lake in a small plane is just plain cool. You are not accessible by cell for your mobiles. You can borrow wifi from the owners I think but I loved being off the grid for a long weekend ;)

My wife and I spent 6 days in this marvelous place last august. We could chill out, but also make gorgeous trips in the wilderness with our hosts, Sarah and Gebhard. We tried out canoë, kayak and fishing (we ate the fishes we caught in the evening, wonderfully cooked by Sarah). What could we possibly say... We loved every minutes we spent there. The hosts have a deep sense of service and are totally dedicated to the well-being of the people they welcome. They share their broad knowledge if you ask for it, and give you plenty of advice, but always without being intrusive. You actually feel like you are at friends' place. We definitely want to come back in wintertime, in order to see the northern lights and to try snowmobiling and dogsledding.

Our 4 night stay was absolutely perfect. Not only were we comfy in our cabin but Sarah's cooking skills were incredible. First day ice fishing and snowmobiling then two full days of mushing with MC. Up every night looking for the aurora, not a dull moment. Sarah and Gebi were fantastic and we never went without. Glad our daughter was able to experience this trip in such a beautiful location. I would recommend a day or two in Whitehorse then get out to the wilderness and see Tagish WL.

We stayed for two nights in early Feb 17, we travelled by ski plane and landed on the frozen lake, where we were met by our hosts Sarah and Geb, who made us feel very welcome. The accomodation is simply but comfortable and there are some lovely touches. Our cabin had been pre warmed and was nice and clean. We were the only people there and it felt like we were a thousand miles away from anywhere, which takes a little getting used to if you are city folk like us! We went dog sledding with MC and her team which was a truly magnificent experience, the sun was shinning and the sky was blue - but be warned its truly truly cold in Feb ! Sarah got up with us every night (1 am) to walk down to the fozen lake to watch the stars and the northern lights and she was always on hand with hot chocolate or mulled wine. At dinner we would sit and talk with sarah and Geb, this is taken in the big lodge which is Sarah & Gebs house, which can sometimes feel a little awakward but the food was good quality as was the conversation & Sarah and Geb always did there best to make you feel at home. I think my wife would have liked a lock on our cabin door as when you are not used to being so remote, she always thought that a moose, wolf , bear etc was going to come in throughout the night (they didn't) !! This was an amazing experience which we would recommend for those wishing to do something completely different. Thank you Sarah & Geb and wish you well for the future.
