Fisherman's Cove Resort offers spacious rooms with unique touches and stunning views that contribute to a serene and welcoming atmosphere, as highlighted by numerous guests. While the oceanfront location is celebrated for its breathtaking sunsets and beach access, some visitors have called out the need for updates to the pool and room furnishings.
The staff's friendliness is often commended, although there are mixed reviews about the efficiency of service. Despite the resort's overall cleanliness and the appeal of large rooms, critics point to the outdated decor and perceived lack of value due to high costs for amenities.

Overall our experience was enjoyable but we felt the dining experience was complicated, we had full board but you can eat at certain times and then after that you have a credit / charge situation which was a pain, this does not make the stay easy. we had full board but could only eat at certain time in certain bars and if after this time you eat then they credit you 70 euros and charge you for the bill,, the reason you pay for full board is to avoid these situations and complications we just want an easy holiday with no complications.
the pool was out of order during our stay, no major issue as we used the pool next door at the sister premises however you could not get WIFI and you where required to pay as you go again small issues but just adding to the complication of the stay.
getting to the sister property was not too difficult but would suggest that they think about access access to the beach and possibly put a foot wash in for people coming in off the beach, small item but woyuld make a big difference,

Response from Lynn Tirant, Owner at Fisherman's Cove Resort
Just returned from a fabulous 2 week stay at Fishermans Cove. The hotel upgraded us to one of their hilltop deluxe suites overlooking ocean which was amazing. The room was really spacious and the bed extremely comfortable. The large terrace was great,as we could sit and watch the magnificent sunsets. We found the breakfast and dinner buffets in the main restaurant (Le Cardinal) to be plentiful and all very tasty. The head waiter was extremely attentive and friendly. The food was always well presented and they did different food each night based around a theme. The chef cooking the specials each night was really great too. The pool towels were lovely and the largest we have ever had. There are a few tiles missing in swimming pool but its not an issue, as doesn't affect swimming or even walking in it. We found all the staff very welcoming, helpful, friendly and willing to assist in anyway. The cleaners always did a great job and ensured you had bottles of drinking water available in the room. When you go to the beach, there is a small stream (water running into sea from hills) but it is very shallow and narrow, so not really an issue. We would definitely recommend this hotel and would return if we could.

We are currently in Fishermen Cove, we can't understand the bad reviews AT ALL!!
Yes, it is a bit out of the way and yes, you have to walk a few meters to the sandy beach, but before you criticize it, you should read the hotel description more carefully!
But you have the most beautiful view of the whole of Beau Vallon, whether from breakfast, the lounger or the room terrace.
Which all the other hotels here don't have.
The staff are VERY helpful and friendly!
At breakfast you are asked several times if you would like coffee or an omelette.
Yes, the prices of drinks are not cheap, like in every hotel in the Seychelles!
Tip: get drinks from the supermarket! From the hotel, about 100m to the right, immediately after the bus stop.
Bus tickets are also available there for 0.70 cents per person and journey, no matter how far.
It's best to have more journeys loaded onto the card and stamped on the bus per journey/person.
90% of the guests are German, which is very pleasant. If you've ever been to a hotel full of Russian guests, you know what I'm talking about...
The pool towels are fluffy and very large, there is free water in the room and by the pool all day long.
In the late afternoon, we were brought free cake.
The rooms are cleaned twice a day.
The hotel is a bit older, but we didn't see anything "shabby"!
It was a wonderful stay!
Thanks to the whole team, you are the BEST

We spend two nights with breakfast in this hotel. Upon our arrival brief explanation of the hotel and then accompany us to the room where we will find shortly after our suitcases. The ocean view room and small front garden as a whole is beautiful, spacious, clean and complete with everything. Stands out the central bath in the bathroom divided from the bedroom by a satin glass, the open shower, the two sinks finally at the right height and not from Smurfs, the toilet in a special room unfortunately without window but with shower, fan, perfumer and a small glass-cement wall to let in the light. At this level of stars there are all the detergents and various accessories, from umbrella, scale, iron and wi.fi works properly. The room is completed by a large interactive hanging TV, air conditioning, dehumidifier, sofa, blackout curtains, a very comfortable bed as well as pillows and quality sheets and giant beach towels that entirely cover the pool beds. The hotel is located on the beachfront in the countryside with a beautiful swimming pool that develops more in length than in width and slopes from 150 cm to 30 cm oceanfront with sun loungers and umbrellas. The hotel is completed by the beach bar where we had lunch twice with the usual prices a bit 'high but with good quality food and two other restaurants, one a la carte and one buffet and the gym. Good breakfast with good availability of products. They are not up to the poor quality room furniture, the TV remote control that does not work, the shower bordering the toilet room that slowly is rotting the door frame, the lights of the bedside tables that can be turned on only on one side and a little 'all the structure of the common parts that being wooden are not well-kept.

After a long flight from Sofia via Dubai, we are finally at the hotel early in the morning. They welcomed us very kindly at the reception with a welcome drink - aromatic local tea. We communicated in English and Russian. Detailed explanations of restaurants, bars, meal times followed. While waiting for room check-in, you can take a shower in the gym's changing rooms. To our delight, we were checked in after about half an hour instead of 3pm. And what's more, we got a free upgrade from the Deluxe Ocean View Room we booked to a Junior Suite Ocean View! The room has all amenities – bathtub, shower cabin, kettle for hot water with free nescafe and tea, hair dryer, ironing board and iron, safe, mini fridge, air conditioner. Every day we were provided with a bottle of water to drink. The room has a spacious terrace with two chairs, a table and two beach beds. Cleaning is done daily and properly. We had a HB reservation. Breakfast and dinner are very rich and varied, buffet style and served in Le Cardinal restaurant. Different exotic fruits and fish every day, as well as typical Creole dishes. For breakfast, you can also order an omelet according to your taste. We were also pleasantly surprised by the offer of champagne at breakfast! The staff in the restaurant is very responsive and quick in service. The table is immediately cleaned of used dishes. The pool has different depths and is suitable for children. Palm trees and umbrellas provide protection from the strong sun, and you can order a drink or a bite to eat at the Le Cocoloba bar. The beach of Bel Ombre is amazing and is very close to the hotel. The hotel also has a tour desk where you can book an excursion around Mahe or the nearby islands of Praslin and La Digue.

We stayed at Fisherman’s Cove as a family of five, booking the trip quite close to our departure. Unfortunately, the booking process was tedious, with responses taking over three days at times. After about a week and a half, it was finally sorted, but with limited options for interconnecting rooms on the island, we were somewhat tied to this choice.
To be fair, the rooms—even the ones for the first night—were impeccable, modern, and spacious. They deserve praise on that front. That said, this situation could have been managed much better with clearer communication. Breaking bad news in a more positive and proactive way is an area for improvement.
As for the facilities, they were excellent: a beautiful pool, clean infrastructure, and a lovely beach nearby. The resort has plenty to offer in terms of setting.
However, the dining experience left much to be desired. While the beach bar was good, the restaurant "Paris," which came highly recommended, was a major disappointment. The Niçoise salad and T-bone steak were poorly prepared—the salad was unappealingly thrown together, and the steak was tough and accompanied by greasy potatoes. This was far below expectations. Fortunately, guests have the option to dine at the sister hotel, Story, with a 20% discount. The restaurants there were outstanding and highly recommended.
The breakfast buffet, however, was a significant letdown. The dining area felt dark and cramped, and the food quality, combined with the unfriendliness of some staff (particularly female staff), was disappointing.

Dear sdkams Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We truly value your honest and detailed insights about your stay at Fishermans Cove Resort, as they help us strive for constant improvement. Firstly, we are delighted to hear that you appreciated the quality of the accommodations and the facilities, including our pool, clean infrastructure, and the beautiful beach nearby. It’s also great to know that the rooms met your expectations in terms of comfort. However, we sincerely apologize for the shortcomings you experienced, particularly with the booking process and the unexpected room changes. We understand how frustrating this must have been for you and your family, and we deeply regret the lack of clear communication in addressing this situation. Your suggestions for how such situations could be better handled are noted, and we are committed to improving in this area to ensure a seamless experience for all our guests. We are also truly sorry that your dining experience did not meet expectations. While we are glad you enjoyed the beach bar and had positive experiences at our sister hotel, it is disappointing to hear that the food quality in our restaurant and breakfast buffet fell short. Please rest assured that your comments have been shared with our culinary team, who will work on enhancing the dining offerings and service standards to better meet the high expectations we set for ourselves. Lastly, we value your feedback regarding the overall atmosphere and will reflect on this to further improve our guests’ experience. One of the main reasons why we booked Fisherman’s Cove was that they offer an All Inclusive package and are close to a nice beach - we wanted to spend a relaxed and carefree holiday, counting neither calories nor coins.
Although the tropic rain was pouring down when we arrived, we were immediately taken in by the friendly welcome of the receptionist and the inviting, palm leaf-covered lobby. Our room exceeded our expectations by far: very spacious and cosy, incl. bathtub & shower and a large patio with two sunbeds, a table with two chairs and a breathtaking view of the sea. The minibar offered all the drinks/snacks/fruit that you might want.
The swimming pool area is ok although we only used the pool for swimming and did not use the sunbeds.
A great feature of the resort is that the long Beau Vallon beach starts some 100 m after the hotel premises, this means that the hotel garden is quiet and the sea view is undisturbed. At high tide it takes about 5 minutes to walk to the (long) beach, at low tide there is a direct access to the beach from the hotel.
The resort offers food in two restaurants and in a bar (lunch), and there is a sunset bar with a beautiful view for drinks, too.
The restaurant Le Cardinal offers a good breakfast with fresh fruit, bakery, cereals, incl. any type of omelet and sparkling wine. In the evenings, there is another cuisine on offer every evening (Italian, Creole, Asian etc.), incl. a wide variety of vegetables and fish. The service was fast, friendly and professional.
As we liked Le Cardinal so much and we enjoyed the service and the wine there, we booked a table at the Paris Seychelles Restaurant only once. This, too, was a marvelous experience, with fish and beef served at its best.
A few times, we had lunch at Le Cocoloba Bar. I especially liked the sesame tuna there. As for the drinks – a long list of international wines, cocktails, mocktails… Aperol Spritz was even on the AI drink list. The Sunset bar in the evening is perfect to watch the colors of the sunset when sipping your aperitif.
I cannot think of one single point that I could criticize about the resort. Our holiday is unforgettable.
It was the first time we went to Seychelles but I am sure it was not the last. And when we return, we will be happy to return to Fisherman’s Cove Resort.

Our stay was for a birthday celebration and we were so pleased we chose Fisherman’s Cove. The price for 2 nights was good value for the quality of the accommodation. We stayed in a Junior suite and loved the fantastic sea-view, the large, comfortable bed and the spacious bathroom with both a bath and a shower. We The air conditioning unit was effective and quiet ( which was not our experience from previous places we had stayed in during our trip). If there was one small niggle it would be that the cushion overs on our terrace loungers were quite stained, but this was a very minor point. We took part in a great, free guided snorkeling tour from the beach in front of the Story (the sister hotel next door) and the staff at the snorkelling hut were so friendly. We loved the pool with the view over the beach and the breakfast was fabulous - such a good choice of food. For my birthday itself we ate at the Eden Restaurant in the Story hotel (which was amazing) and as guests of Fisherman’s Cove we were entitled to a 20% reduction in the cost of the meal. The stay was everything we had hoped for and would definitely love to return one day.

I have now read through some reviews from the last three years and can confirm them by and large. It is a shame that the management obviously does not take this to heart and change anything. The guests come anyway. Positive: the location on Beau Vallon at the quieter end, you should be aware that it is a bit of a walk to the town (about 15 minutes). Beautiful architecture, very well-kept gardens. Friendliness at reception and housekeeping. We did not like: the need for renovation in all areas, worn-out seating in the lobby, buffet restaurant and bar. The service at breakfast and evening buffet. The poor restaurant manager is to be pitied as he does not get any support from his 2-3 staff. Not at all appropriate for a (self-proclaimed) 5-star hotel. Very high prices for drinks and food, which you are happy to pay even if the quality is appropriate. We did not visit the Ă la carte restaurant and therefore cannot rate it. Despite asking on arrival whether it was a birthday for anyone in the group, the hotel did not pay any attention. We only got the extra bed we had booked upon request, otherwise our teenager would have had to sleep on a makeshift couch. It was OK, but we would probably not book this hotel again.

Well-located old resort with the rooms in need of some refurbishment.
The infinity pool is amazing and the Paris restaurant is great. Luggage services is spotless and the use of the facilities after checkout runs perfectly allowing you to make the most of you stay before your departure.

Yes, there is a medium size fridge in the room, and a supermarket that is a 2 minute walk away from the hotel. When you leave the hotel turn left, it is just past the casino.
Don't think they have anything specific for babies
For doctor, you can take premium insurance offered by Seychelles (when you apply visa) which can provide immediate emergency services
I would strongly advise to look for other resorts like Kempinski who is property equipped for children activities and accommodation. We've stayed at Fishermans Cove and over 80% of customers are elderly and the rooms and premises are old since the hotel was first built - I believe the first in Seychelles
There are more places to choose from in the Beau Vallon area.
