We stayed at this hotel for 11 nights in a standard room. Check-in was quick. Hotel staff are all pleasant and greet you every day. The reception area is bright and airy with settees dotted about to relax. Our room was on the 4th floor overlooking a road and villas. The room has a small workable fridge, kettle, and Delta coffee maker. You only get one coffee capsual per stay, you can buy extra for 1.50 at reception which for a 4 star hotel is disappointing. We managed to buy a pack of 40 at a local aldi for 7.50. Also, if you like tea, I would suggest taking your own as you only get supplied for one day. The room was large with x2 double wardrobes and plenty storage. There was a nice balcony where we enjoyed the afternoon sun. The bathroom was spacious with a large rain shower and vanity area. There were a few scuffs on the walls in our room that let it down. The rooms are cleaned daily, and they have an electronic system in place to indicate on your door that you require your room cleaned or not, which I liked.
Breakfast is from 7.30 - 10.30. The restaurant area has lots of seating and it's modern and clean. There is plenty of choice for breakfast ranging from cereals, fruit, pastries, bread, pancakes, hot items for a full cooked breakfast, and bubbly. The hot items are always just luke warm. The coffee out of the machine was nice. Staff in the breakfast area at times were very eager to remove your used crockery items, which at times was off-putting, for example one member of staff stood waiting for us to finish our cereal so she could take our dish.
The spa area was clean with a sauna and steam room. There are lockers available which you request a card at reception. The gym is open 24 hours and has a good selection of equipment, including loose weights and multi gym. There is also a treadmill and crosstrainer. The pool area has a good size pool and a snack van, although it was closed as low season. The sunbeds are extremely uncomfortable. They have no cushions on them, which is a real letdown if you want to relax at the pool. I am small built, so I couldn't imagine how uncomfortable the sunbeds would be if you're a 6ft man. This again is disappointing for a 4-star hotel. The hotel is in a quiet area and wouldn't recommend it to families. We love the area as it is very peaceful, an ideal location to unwind and relax. A short walk you have Gale beach or salgados, perfect for walks along the boardwalk. There are some lovely restaurants dotted around in the area. We had a day at the retail park and caught the number 8 giro bus, which stops just outside the hotel. We enjoyed our holiday, I hope the hotel can make some improvements to what I have mentioned for me to return.

This is my totally honest review we are just home from a weeks stay bed & breakfast we booked uber transfer from airport which cost 30 euros reasonable considering hotel is a good 40 mins away . Arrived early evening smoothly checked in no queues & receptionists were really nice & friendly we were allocated room 216 on second floor which was lovely we had a huge bed & room was spotlessly clean we had a balcony in decking that we shared with 3 other families we had 2 loungers which enjoyed full sun untill 2pm when sun went behind building which is when we would go down to pool area to catch sun for rest of day pool area really quiet & was never a problem to get a lounger .Food- - breakfast was a buffet & you wouldn’t go hungry but it was repetitive same every day but often minus a few things like hash browns only on some days there was also an omelette station we noticed on first night while in for evening meal but it was only out at break one day on our stay which I found strange considering how popular it was that day the lady making them was lovely & made an amazing omelette 😍 overall we ate at the pool food truck every afternoon we were at pool they had a good choice on menu food was all fresh to order & prices really reasonable plus staff were so happy & friendly overall had a great week in the sun my only negative would be the housekeeping staff they did come make bed & change and wiped down our outside furniture but no mopping or cleaning done & this led to ants invasion on 3rd day 🙈shower floor was really bad & when I moved lamp on bedside table they invaded us! Not really my thing have never experienced this while on holiday lastly was dissapointed when I realised due to my own scattyness I had left one of my nice dresses in wardrobe but as my daughter was arriving the day I left I thought she’d get it & take home but apparently no it wasn’t in room or had been handed in by housekeeping? A mystery unsolved but totally my own fault & that’s about it so a nice hotel but being let down badly by housekeeping & for only that reason I sadly wouldn’t return

Had an amazing stay at the hotel. The hotel is new and modern and kept very clean. Our room was perfect with a very comfortable bed, large wardrobes and good shower room. Housekeeping gave us fresh towels daily. The breakfast was great with lots of variety, cooked breakfast, pastries and fruit/yoghurt and the coffee machine provided decent quality coffee. We tended to visit the beaches but the pool area is kept clean and fairly quiet in the mornings and the snack bar sold nice cocktails and food. The hotel also provide beach towels which was so handy! Used the gym and spa area a couple of times which is a great addition, my partner also had one of the massages which he said was very good! The hotel is in a quiet location, away from the busy areas of Albufeira but still in walking distance of a couple of restaurants along the beachfront, particularly enjoyed eating at Bellavita (Italian) and Praia da Gale restaurant/bar for seafood. Uber is really easy to use, and would take around 10/15 mins to get into the old town for around 8 euros. Could not fault the hotel at all, the staff are all lovely and helpful and we really enjoyed our stay!!

We had a great stay at Regency Salgados Pension & Spa. Upon arrival, we were greeted by exceptionally welcoming staff, always smiling and ready to help. This level of service is also found in the restaurant, especially at Breakfast, where the team is warm and attentive, especially Severino, who always had a friendly word. The Breakfast buffet is a real treat, with a wide choice of quality products that will satisfy all tastes.
The Inn’s location is ideal, just 300 meters walk from the beach. The rooms are spacious, spotlessly clean, and equipped with very comfortable beds and pillows. Parking is private, which is an added asset.
The only downside is the sun loungers around the pool. Although the space is pleasant, the design of the chairs leaves much to be desired. A transverse bar at the lumbar level unfortunately makes them very uncomfortable. Unfortunately, the designer did not test these chairs himself, as did the Pension furniture buyer.
Despite this small inconvenience, we had a very pleasant stay at the Inn.

After staying at this hotel for the first time in August 2022, it was exceptional. Having just returned from a solo stay at the Regency Salgados a few days ago, (September 2023) I am sad to say it was a poor stay.
On arrival to my room 501 top floor, I immediately noticed that the condition of the room was not maintained. There were marks and scuffs all over the corridor walls as you enter, the bathroom was dirty long hairs and crumbs around the bath tub. Bathroom did not smell clean, broken toilet seat, wonky and did not feel clean. Broken shower seals in shower cubicle, mouldy areas inside the shower, no windows opened for ventilation, bathroom walls and vanity area not cleaned, the area felt dirty, and uncleaned since previous guests. Luckily I carried Dettol with me in my toiletries so was able to sanitise the bathroom to an acceptable standard, not ideal for the first day of a holiday.
The bedroom itself was no better, dust and grime on the telephone and remote control was sticky, had to be wiped down. Marks on bedroom walls again not in a clean condition. Hairs inside the bed, reported to the reservations/ reception team who sent a young lady who spoke no English to clean the room. She did a quick hoover behind the bed and left.
I understand that this hotel is now under new management, which I believe is likely the reason to these failures in hospitality.
Portugal is a beautiful country however, the accommodation was a serious let down during my trip and I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Hotel with 80 rooms in Guia, away from the crowds. Quiet hotel, spacious rooms, comfortable good quality bedding, terrace or balcony. Small downside, there is a lack of a laundry rack on the terrace or balcony to hang up swimsuits. Very decent buffet breakfast. Beautiful swimming pool, deckchairs always available (in September), the food truck at the swimming pool is a good idea, but a coffee served in a cup and not in a paper cup would be nice and would be more "4 stars 🌟" especially for 2 € the coffee, ditto for the bottle of water served without a glass. At the swimming pool we enjoyed an afternoon of musical entertainment with a saxophonist, excellent. Quiet hotel, very professional reception staff, smiling and available, some speak French. It is preferable to have a car (free parking at the hotel) because the hotel is a little out of the center, otherwise there is a bus stop next to the hotel. The large beach is about 700 meters away, you can rent deckchairs there.

This was just the quiet relaxing break we were looking for. The hotel was very clean, modern and relaxing. The pool area was great, we could always get sunbeds and a couple of afternoons during the week a dj was playing which we loved. The food truck also served tasty snacks if we didn't want to move too far from our loungers!
Our room was clean, modern and comfortable. We paid for a sea view room and it wasn't worth it unless you particularly like afternoon sun on your balcony, as there was only a glimpse of the sea in the distance and the main view was of car park and road. I would recommend pool view or garden view. Also ketle and nespresso machine in the rom might seem like a nice touch but without the pods or tea bags were completely wasted, and to get them on room service was expensive. We were also very surprised to find a hotel that advertised as a spa to not provide robes and slippers.
We ate in the restaurant for dinner twice but were glad we didnt go half board, as whilst the food was good, there wasn't much variety. Breakfast had everuthing you could possibly wish for and we really enjoyed ut.
Staff were very friendly and helpful but quite a few were new and obviously needed training, yet there were two who shone above and beyond, Maria and Jaqueline, who I would say kept everything running smoothly each day with great smiles and attitude.
We had a lovely holiday, what we were looking for, which was a relaxing time. The location was close to the beach which we really enjoyed but by the end of the week we had pretty much visited every restaurant in the area as it was quite quiet. For us this was exactly what we were looking for but others might find it too quiet, also probably not great for children as no kids club etc, but again absolutely perfect for a couple wanting to chill out around the pool!!

Very modern and sometimes a little impersonal establishments do not always reserve a good surprise.
This is not the case: we were delighted!
-the welcome is the best we have received. With special mention to Andre and Califa who were just perfect with our son Andrea and ourselves.
- all the comforts are there, and there is everything you need to accompany the stay. Are you tired and don't want to go out? The restaurant with buffet formula is largely valid and very decent price. And the bar is very nice. More sunscreen? There's a shop. Want some comfort? There is a spa, sauna, steam room... A hole in the schedule? For 70€ there are boat days organized.
- large room and bed in 180, the tour in perfect cleanliness and I bottle sparkling in welcome..and a small terrace.
- the pool is large enough and has a food truck
- free parking with electric spaces
So friends of France and elsewhere, as long as you have a car, consider it without reservation.

Just home from a fabulous 4 night stay here . Hotel is fresh and modern . Rooms are very spacious and clean . Great shower and quality of shower gel provided . Reception staff were genuinely friendly and helpful . I asked to change room as we had a wall outside the room on the second floor While it was very pretty with plants and the room was gorgeous , we value a balcony with a view . Despite the hotel being very busy due to wedding party guests we had our room changed instantly with a genuine willingness to accommodate Breakfast was excellent everything u need . Good fresh fruit selection bread meat cheese and cooked breakfast although I did not choose the cooked breakfast it looked good quality . Hotel in good location near the most beautiful beach . We booked bed and breakfast only that was a good decision as hotel restaurant and bar quiet at night and we had read some reviews that suggested this . There was various musical entertainment each night that was pleasant and not intrusive if you wanted to sit and chat . There is an Italian close by that serves very good quality food reasonably priced . There are three beach front restaurants Not a huge choice of restaurants overall but perfect for our 4 night stay . We were checking out before breakfast at 730 am and reception staff made us aware that they can provide a breakfast box . It was basic but the fruit and juice were appreciated before heading to the airport . I would not hesitate to return to this hotel . If you are looking for low key relaxed short break this hotel is perfect . One small niggle the housekeeping staff did not replenish our one per day complimentary nespresso pod , however when I asked them they provided it . A big plus was the spacious pool area always plenty of Sun loungers available and food truck provided reasonable priced drinks and snacks by the pool.

I went on vacation with my family in July, we stayed in 3 rooms on a half board basis. In general, the hotel is good, the food was good, the staff were friendly, the swimming pool, restaurant, parking.
The least positive and most important thing for me is that it was not a stay to recharge my energy. My husband, my 12-month-old son and I were placed in the last room in the hallway, in addition the room had a bathroom with a window and no blackout and a glass door to the room allowing all daylight to enter the room. Walking the hallway every day with so much stuff you carry, stroller, baby, toys, etc. In addition, those who have small children have already had a difficult journey in terms of sleep and are also placed in a room where neither the couple nor the baby sleeps. I also give a negative rating to the baby's crib, which did not have a mattress but rather a duvet as a mattress.
It was a disappointment that a four-star hotel was not more friendly to parents with young children.
