After two weeks exploring Australia we ended our trip with a week long visit to Botaira and we are so happy we did! For our 30th anniverasary we planned our dream trip to Australia and Fiji - ending with Fiji. After looking over many options and reviews decided on Botaira because it was small, ran by local people, the food...

The reason I booked two nights in Botaira is because the rooms in Blue Lagoon are all booked out and hence this second choice came out. However, finally Botaira turns out to be much better than expected and really gives me excellent impression on every aspect of it. First of all, unlike other resorts, Botaira is rather natural or traditional...

Just back from another wonderful holiday at beautiful Botaira. Won't rehash what I have already covered in previous reviews of Botaira, they more than cover our thoughts of this wonderful very Fijian resort. Must say the reef is even more beautiful. Dolphins swimming outside the reef and seeing turtles while kayaking, wow! Unfortunately we saw some day visitors standing on...

I recently got married at SoSo Village on Naviti Island, Fiji, in the Yasawa's. Inoke & Alumita of Botaira Resort, planned the event & it was over the top. The villagers treated my husband & I like were were family or ohana as we say in Hawai'i. The choir met us at the beach, singing beautiful fijian songs. Next we...

I chose this resort because of the good reputation of the corals in front of the resort. I stayed 4 nights at the beachfront bure which was located only 20m from the shore. The room was spacious. The accommodation was simple. There were no fridge, no drinking glasses, and no safe in the room. As for glasses, I borrowed one...

We spent 8 days in Botaira in August 2011 with our two kids. It was our second visit (the first was in 2009) and it was pretty much unchanged which suited us perfectly. Botaira is a small resort that is ideally suited to those who want a relaxing stay by a pretty beach with good snorkelling. The bures are clean...

I chose this resort based on all the reviews about the snorkeling. And it did live up to all expectations regarding the abundance of coral and fishes. The snorkeling was simply amazing and the sand was soooo soft. I have snorkeled at many exotic locations, and the protected coral reef at Botaira provided the best snorkeling I have ever seen....

From the website, pictures and what they tell you about the resort it appears to be a little rustic, romantic getaway. We chose this place for our honeymoon expecting to be able to relax and enjoy "Fiji time". We were not expecting luxury but we were not prepared for how run down and unkept the place was. Apparently there had...

Just spent 4 nights at Botaira with our family of 5 - including 3 kids aged 7 and 5-year old twins. After a bumpy ride out on the Yasawa Flyer, we rounded the point to see a gorgeous calm bay, with crystal clear waters, and a traditional welcome song drifting across the water. We were looking for a down-to-earth place,...

Botaira beach not only offers a perfect fijian atmosphere but it is also a great place for adventures like swimming with manta rays and diving and of course relaxing under coconut trees in swing. There are also great places for snorkelling and the accomodation, a neat bungalow is beautiful. The staff is friendliy and the food is very good, often...
