The cottages are small and clean, but the lights weren't working and the bathroom door was broken. There's no AC and the mosquitos are everywhere. If you wish to sleep in, good luck with that as the roosters and chickens will wake you up at 4am and will continue do be outside your cottage throughout the day. As for the...

It was a treat staying here on the beach in a lovely, little Eco-cottage. The staff was welcoming and kind. Dinner was delicious. They recommended the bake and shark and it was great. We were the only folks there as it is off-season, but we were super lucky to see leatherback hatchlings. A nest had just hatched and the conservation...

The Polynesian style cottages are very comfortable & secure. 100 meters of foot path from the beach is perfect because you can hear the waves while sleeping, but you don't have to listen to people on the beach all night. We left the coolers on the deck for days & no one bothered them. We will definitely return.

Overall the experience was quite pleasant. But the only thing I didn't like was that I didn't feel 100% safe since anyone could have walked through the property. Not that I felt threatened but more security measures need to be put in place.

Visited here for our Anniversary in July 2016. The place I must say is comfy and felt like a getaway nature wise. My husband preferred we had gone somewhere with a pool seeing that there was nothing much to do. If you want a quiet setting with a nature feel that's the place to be. The staff was friendly and...

Nature at its best. Set against the mouth of the river and near the turtles that visit every year, this hotel offers intimate cabins that are decorated simply and very comfortable. Reasonable rate which includes breakfast, this hotel gives you great value for an experience you will treasure.

Peaceful and relaxing. The atmosphere was very much a let's go back to nature event. Need to stay at least two nights to get maximum effect. Staff were warm, friendly, and very helpful. Nothing was too much. "I will be back"

The Hotel is a top recommendation to nature lovers since it is situated in a remote fishing village next to a river on a large beach and rain forest nearby. The nature is unique, one of the best tropical settings we have experienced so far. It is a top spot to observe large leatherback turtles on the beach. Bathing is...

Acajou is very rustic and natural and peaceful. The staff were courteous and friendly. The wifi was very efficient. It is in close proximity to the beach and there are numerous birds on the property. My children enjoyed staying there due to the fact that the experience was very different to a normal hotel stay. I would definitely recommend this...

The cabins are really beautifully built. Very comfortable bed. There was not a coffee maker only instant coffee with a kettle. The breakfast was excellent every morning. Service also was excellent ,which for trinidad says a lot. The fish for dinner was not good at all so we would recommend Mt Plaisir for dinner. The grounds are lovely and we...

“There is no A/C - but the ceiling fans and fans on a stand are enough that we needed the blanket at night. The hammock on deck is wonderful (hard to get out of if you have knee problems like me - but that didn't stop me from resting and reading in them)! Wonderful to listen to the waves.”
