Kathleen and Sean made us feel like family. This is the first place out of 33 countries we have visited that we felt like a part of the island. The sounds, smells, food and the friendly people all added to an island experience like no other. We filled up 3 pages of new fish, coral, sponges, etc. that we have...

We had the pleasure to go diving in Tobago and stayed at the Manta Lodge. We had an amazing experience from start to finish. The owners Sean and Kathleen took care of all incidentals including our transportation, dives, equipment, meals and entertainment. They, along with their staff treated us like family and made our visit exceptional. The diving sites were...

My last visit to Tobago I stayed elsewhere but visited Manta Lodge for dinner and it was excellent: 1. The resort friendly dogs were wonderfully friendly (I love dogs) 2. The food was completely unique compared to what we were getting in the area and it tasted excellent 3. The staff was friendly and courteous; they made me feel comfortable...

I am currently 25 and have just spent the last month staying in Manta Lodge where I completed my PADI Dive master training. My whole family have been visiting Manta Lodge for the past 16 years which means that me and my siblings have been visiting since we were 6, 8 and 10. Manta Lodge is a very special place...

This review is based on the Diving aspect of Manta Lodge, I cannot comment on the hotel aspects since I haven't stayed at the property. However, I've dived with the owner on multiple occasions from his operations center at the lodge. Sean (the owner) is an incredibly experienced and knowledgeable dive operator. His local knowledge of the area and its...

This is my second stay at the Manta Lodge, with my first being late November 2013, and I went back mid-July along with my son for a week of diving and relaxation. The people and diving are superb. From the pick up at the airport to the drop off at the end of our stay, they took care of my...

We are recently back from a short break at Manta Lodge as part of a school trip from the UK. I have to say we absolutely cannot fault it. The management and staff are amazing and cannot do enough for you. The snorkeling was the most amazing experience and the children we were travelling with really enjoyed it. The setting...

Ten divers spent a week at the Manta Lodge in June and had a fantastic time! Although the resort itself is a little run down, it's charming and cozy. The staff is the best ever, especially Julia and Caressa in the restaurant/bar. They were so lively and fun, not to mention attentive! If you are looking for action this is...

Best place ever! The hotel is located at the end of the calm village of Speyside, right by the ocean. I´t is clean and cosy with a nice pool and chilling area and a restaurant. Free wifi. Nice rooms with view over the Atlantic. At first we were staying at another hotel up the hill where I found it a...

My experience with the Manta Lodge was like meeting old friends. A most relaxing and simple experience with stellar vistas of the Carribean and the craggy outcrops. This birds are singing in this tropical hamlet and the island charm takes over. The diving with Sean, who is the proprietor ,and his crew was spellbinding as the condition of the reefs...
