Remote and worth it. If you have developed an allergy to big impersonal resorts, beach vendors, time share vendors, cattle boats and general "assembly line" type dive operations, Manta Lodge IS the place for you. There is NONE of that there. I have been everywhere and I needed to find a new place where I could take my 18 year...

Just had a Group of Sport Diver Magazine Readers at Manta Lodge and Tobago Dive Experience for a week of Diving and fun. The Staff could not have been more friendlier, you feel like part of the "Family" almost the minute you arrive. The food was authentic and tasty, the rooms comfortable and the Diving was out of this world!...

This trip felt more like visiting family members with an intimate knowledge and understanding of the area and culture than booking a trip with a group. Sean Robinson and the folks at Manta Lodge welcomed us in and really enjoyed showing us the area, making the experience very fulfilling. Staff was extremely helpful and accommodating and couldn't have done more....

When we arrived, we were met by Shaun Robinson, the owner, who encouraged us to treat the hotel as our home away from home. At first I was skeptical - but quickly realized that he meant it with all sincerity. He - and all the dive staff - were genuinely interested in understanding what would make our vacation memorable, fun...

Why is Manta Lodge rated as a bed and breakfast, we are a 22 room hotel and prefer to be rated with the hotels with whom we were rated until about 2 weeks ago when the rating changed to bed and breakfast.

Yet again we enjoyed a fantastic 10 days in Tobago. The diving as always was superb, we saw mantas, moray eels, nurse sharks, lobsters, loads of fish, the beautiful Japanese Gardens, did a wreck dive. Such a fantastic crew of people that run the centre, from sexy Sean the owner, Kester the great, Silton the best Boat Captain ever, Camnee...

My wife and I stayed two nights at the Manta in June 2009. The most impressive part was the help we received from Vidya in actually getting to and from the Manta (transport, accommodation), and the comfort of our stay once there. The Manta is not a place for people who want 5 star everything, but if you want comfortable...

This review is of the hotel only. The diving operation associated with the hotel deserves its own tome. Clyde - proprietor of the hotel, head of the family and most gracious and generous host - really makes the atmosphere of this hotel. He is cool, laid back and extremely approachable. The hotel rooms are basic but functional and quite roomy,...

I spent 7 days at the Manta Lodge with friends and my 3 sons. The hotel was truly a "dive lodge" with clean, comfortable rooms, clean pool, plenty of food, and a cozy bar. When meeting the owner, Sean, on day one, he said this is not a hotel, but a home with 20 something rooms for guests. The week...

I loved the Manta Lodge. I'd give it ten stars if i could. The staff were very friendly, and helpful. We never wanted for anything. The diving was fantastic. The only reason i gave the room 4 of 5 was because it didn't have a fridge, and if that is my only complaint, than that is saying something very positive...

My stay at the Manta Lodge was wondeful. My finance and I stayed for 5 nights and did six dives with the resident dive shop, Tobago Dive Experience, and we enjoyed every minute of it . Firstly the hotel is located just opposite the beach, all the rooms have a wonderful seaview, and off course some of the most beautiful...
