As someone who prefers campsites to have as little "man-made" and "developed" touch as possible, this rustic campsite was perfection to me. It's on the beach, and parts of it are adjacent to the arctic terns' nesting ground. We felt very much like parts of nature for the two days we spent there.

This was the best campground (setting wise) that we found in our 12 day tour of the island. Every campground in Iceland was easy to leave.... Except this one. The beach that's a 5 minute walk away was empty and SO beautiful. See the pictures I posted here. It seemed to be cash only (1000isk a person) and we only...

We stayed at this place for two nights with our toddler. The restaurant was pretty good, but the room was extremely dumpy, especially considering the price. I do not think we got much value for our money and cannot recommend it. Look for a more updated facility or find a cheaper option.

Having visited several different accommodations through Island - this was the worst one. Not worth the price per night (Euro 206)!! Squeaky beds, poor room service (had even to ask for toilet paper), no hair dryer, no internet access in the room, no water heater .....

The location, friendliness of staff and most excellent meals make me give this location 4 stars even though the hotel itself feel quiet outdated. It seemed they were working on extending the amount of rooms when I visited in July 2016, so this might chance shortly. Definitely a place to consider when visiting the Snaefellsness Area.

This place has been constructing an "add on" for over a year. Construction debris around the property. Not very friendly staff as well. If you can go farther on your day before bedding down, please do so. Very noisy as well.

Great location with glacier covered volcano outside your window and great isolated beach. Attic trend nest near by so evening and morning walks fabulous. Rooms ok but a bit dated with tiny bathrooms. That are doing a major expansion so new rooms will be better. Breakfast was very good, dinners average.

This hotel definitely has potential. It is in a great location by a fantastic beach and the food in the restaurant is excellent BUT The whole setup is "tired" - the rooms and public areas are worn and drab - this may be remedied by a new wing currently under construction. Whilst the restaurant staff worked hard, there was a...

We had the displeasure of staying here for 4 nights during a 2 week trip to Iceland, it is basically disgusting, not even a 1 star, the standards of cleanliness and customer service are appalling. There is also building work going on at both ends of the accommodation which will probably triple the accommodation size that is (hence it is...
