I visited it with wife and my only son. The place is really big, well maintained and clean. Rooms are small but well equipped with new furniture and effective air conditioner. Service personnel are kind and always available. The big mess is noisy but offers a varied and all you can eat buffet only for side dishes or salads and fruit. The two swimming pools are big and clean. Access to the beach is pretty quick and easy. The bar and restaurant on the beach are relatively cheap and offer standard refreshments and a superb selection of dishes. One of the best sides I enjoyed is also the entartainment organization that is simply perfect: the team is well organized, effective and capable of offering some very nice shows. What I really did not enjoy is the absolutely missing attention of the staff to the details: examples are: 1) the way the staff simply do not monitor or even care about people not following rules ( in the swimming pools, in the auditorium and almost everywhere else....) 2) everywhere in the village there is no sign dividing smoking and non-smoking areas 3) for a so big structure there are so few toilets in common space ( I saw only two toilets open all day and night) 4) you have available a touch card (great idea....) for beverages and snacks but you are not informed on how much you have reached time by time 5) all around the village there are no signs informing you that you are under video surveillance 6) the main places including the beach are not organized for allowing reduced mobility people to enjoy their stay 7) you simply have no tags on buffet informing you on what is the food you are taking 8) there is no info available around the village on how to react in case of fire and I have personally seen only water fire extinguishers and no sign neither a brief has been given on emergency procedures 9) there is not a loudspeaker network in the village neither on the beach to entartain or warn people. 10) silence time windows are just intentions 11) The parking space is small, not organized and dusty 12) The kids' playpark is completely dark in the evening 13) The internal bazar has a very limited selection of reading material and is closed from 12 to 17 (!!!) 14) The laundry took 1 hr and half 15) There are no first aid devices available around the village and no personnel have been tagged as first aid capable between the staff.

The hotel is situated in a beautiful garden, perfectly maintained. It features a small swimming pool with a small splash pools for children, sports fields, separated for the hotel beach with sunbeds. The beach is sandy and rocky descent to the sea. The hotel is quiet and calm during the day. The number of visitors during the summer season is about 500-600 people. The nearest town is about 4-5 km. There is a need to have a car !!!. The nearest grocery store is about 200 meters away but the range of products is very limited. The rooms are quite poor decorated, the bathroom is very small, shower stall rather designed for children, an adult has trouble to wash freely. Only few people from hotel staff speak English !!! (we met 4 !!!). There are plenty of animation but all are conducted exclusively in Italian. Due to the hotel internal regulation of the hours 1 pm-4:30 pm spaces non-use of the pool, playing fields and there is absolute silence (siesta). In my opinion, it is perfect place for family to stay ... if you speak Italian (or if you don't care of this) otherwise you could have a problem to interact with animations and fully use all hotel features. Real problem for us was highly restricted siesta time. From my perspective it looks like a military camp rules but no holiday village. It was difficult for me to explain to my children that they have to go out from the pool in the best time of playing there.

Dear Rafal Z, thank you for your review. Our guests are for 96% Italian. Of course the most people working here speak Italian but it is also true that we should have some more cooperators speaking other languages and we thank you for this tip. All you say about the Resort regulation is not a surprise that you have found but something perfectly explained on our website. In every Resort that I know, from 2 till 4 pm there is the “silence time”. Not everybody makes holiday just for having fun. The most of tourists want to have quiet and relax. I’m sorry that you had difficulties to explain your kids this rule but we will never change this very important point of view. A military camp is a bit different… I’ve been a soldier and I know what I’m talking about. Anyway I’ve been glad to meet you and to know all your friends travelling with you and I will save a good memory of you all hoping to see you again at Vascellero. Best regards

Stayed at the Villaggio for three days recently with my family. Located on the east coast in Calabria. Grounds are kept nicely for the size of the resort... Very nice pool area and bar. Beach is a few minute walk with a restaurant by the water. Free breakfast buffet every morning. Room was clean but basic . Air conditioner worked fair. Wifi is sketchy at best... And you are limited to a certain amount of megabytes. Venture down to the beach in the evenings for some great food at the restaurant and gorgeous sunsets.
