Great location in the middle of village. Familyowned place. They are very friendly and t help you with everything you need. Rooms are good and tidy. Food in the restaurant is very good and you really get the taste of Piemonte. Will come back.

We had an apartment so very convenient for leaving the car. The place was very well equipped, except there was no cork screw - strange in such a location. We knew this because t was our seconded visit so came prepared. There was a lack of comfortable places to sit with no outside place at all. Generally very well appointed... More

I had my morning cappuccino here every day (except Wednesday) not only for the caffeine, but for the friendly greeting, the hot cornetto, seeing the regulars come in and feeling like a visitor who was welcome to this great part of Piedmont. It's right in the center of town on a large common area. There is another bar across the... More

In the middle of Monforte d'Alba you find this little gem. The hotel is run by two brothers and their families, and you feel at home the minute you walk in to the hotel. We stayed in a beautiful room on the 3rd floor with a magnificent view of the hillls. The room had a balcony where we had a... More

I've been coming here with my partner for many years and it's always fantastic. We've always stayed in the hotel, but this time were staying in the apartment, Isolina, owned by the Rinaldi family. Lovely! Well appointed, roomy and elegantly decorated.

This is a great hotel which is perfect for exploring the nice surroundings and great wine yards across Piemonte. Family owned and good service with large rooms at very decent prices. Did not try the restaurant however there is a fairly big coffee place in the lobby that is visited by local. Breakfast is "Italian".....

This was our first trip to Italy, which ended in 4 days in beautiful Monforte d'Alba at Hotel II Grappolo. We had a beautiful room and veranda and really enjoyed the family experience and the "at home" feeling that Pier, Alberto and their children and parents provided. We loved this town atop a hill, the piazza that was always entertaining,... More

I was at Grappolo two weeks ago, and the family that runs it are truly amazing, not only that they are nice, warm and lovely people, their sense of service is out of this world. I will definitely come back here soon, really soon. Thank's for all the help Paolo. Arrivederci!

That's right, just like "Cheers"...and Grappolo D'Oro even has its own Sam (Pier Paolo Rinaldi) and the beautiful and gracious Diane ( Lisa)! Pier Paolo, his brother Alberto, Mamma and Pappa Rinaldi are always on-site, at the bar, serving at the restaurant upstairs, and amusing visitors on the patio. The grandkids materialize frequently (bellissimo) as do a regular group of... More

I've been here many times over the past 10 years and it's always wonderful. Located on the main piazza of this gorgeous little hilltop town, it offers excellent accommodation and, in my opinion, some of the best home-cooked food in Italy. Family-run, the welcome is always warm and friendly. The rooms are big, beautifully decorated and with views out on... More
