New Leaf Detox Resort's current property is correctly rated 3-star.
However the staff and program lift this to 4+ in my opinion.
The daily program is well balanced between fixed activities (daily morning walks, aqua aerobics, colema, massage, afternoon yoga and steam room) and a...More

I have just completed 10 days at New - Leaf and whilst it's a well used metaphor I arrived as a stranger and walked away a friend.
I also walked away 7.5kgs lighter. But this place adds a little more than weight loss.
Amazing experience/ Fantastic Staff/ Long life friendships/Brilliant results/ DETOX your life!
I went on this amazing journey with my 71 year old mother. From the beginning we went into this with an open mind and trusted in the 14 day detox we chose to undertake....More

Hi Stormfree, New Leaf works in Thai baht only. You can read Graham's review. He has stayed with us previously and gets the 'Repeat Guest' discount. I hope that answers your question. Regards KP (Kris Page)

Hi! The detox is close to the beach - a couple of minutes walk. So you can easily spend as much time as you want on the beach - no problem. Also there is a night market just outside on the weekend. If I went there again, I would rent a small scooter for the week from the rental guy next door to New Leaf. It is cheap to do (I did it for a day), and it gives you mobility for getting out and about to see things. For me, the best part of the island was the south side, about 20 mins away on the bike - a lot less commercial, laid-back beaches and lovely restaurants (coconut water only on detox!), overlooking the beach. The programme provided by New Leaf, together with the very helpful staff, is top notch in my opinion - I was very pleased with my results after a 2 week stay.
After I was at the detox, I went to Chiang Mai, which was also very nice - easy to walk around if you are in the old part of the city inside the canals. So lots to see and do. Again I rented a scooter for a day, and rode off to see the hill tribes - a fascinating ride. I can't speak to the detox aspect though.
Have a good trip!
