Stayed for 6 nights last year, late review. Hotel is a little dated, rooms were clean though. Decor of rooms bland. For me the real downside was the bathroom. It felt dark and stuffy and we kept it shut at all times to avoid mossies getting into the room. There was a mirror in the bathroom but hard to do...

This is a lovely, peaceful little stretch of Lamai Beach. Bungalow was roomy and clean. The garden setting of the bungalows and lodging are well-maintained, shady, cool. The grounds are quiet and peaceful. A pool right on the beach-front overlooks the ocean, with poolside drinks/ food service. The ocean here is calm, sandy, perfect. We brought our kids, and felt...

We had a good stay at Lamai Wanta and thought the staff were all really friendly and helpful. The pool area is looking a little tired now and could do with updating but it's still fine and right on the beach. The breakfast buffet is very limited but the items that you can order and plentiful (all the standard egg...

The breakfast was good but not much different than anything else around, except it is a buffet. I was tired of the fixed menus having everything that I wanted but separately and this place satisfied that problem but at a higher price.

When Lamai Wanta was built in the early 2000's, it was the first and only real "resort" on Lamai Beach in Koh Samui. All the other options were bungalows. Wanta kicked off the current resort building craze and it's the original. What I love about this place is that it's beach front resort living at a low price. It's also...

Everything was short cut budget...and you feel it. To not do maintenance before something is broken is a crime in hospitality with some kind of ambition. The room was really basic with a twin put together as double. Old stained and not cozy. The light in the room was horrible with cold white low energy bulbs. Get the warm yellowish...

Stayed here last year and decided to return again for a three week holiday. Hotel includes a great restaurant with infinity pool directly on the beach. Rooms are currently being updated with flat screen tv's and new fridges. I've always liked this hotel, the price is good for me although the rooms are sparse and becoming dated along with the...

Location and beach access are great. However, some rooms are run down, I suggest checking the room before taking it. The villas are a better option, if you can get availability. Wifi is very choppy. Staff was friendly, grounds are well maintained.

Comfortable beds, clean and good location. Beach is just next to the hotel but the swimming pool is very small. Lots of eatery stores nearby. Towels and sheets are changed daily but tea and coffee not provided unless you request for it. This hotel has a lovely garden and away from the noise of the main street.

We very happy with the price at Lamai Wanta, we enjoyed our stay and found everything to be very good considering the room rate, which is less than other resorts we checked around here. If we come Samui again, we would stay again.
