The price for a double room (shared shower/WC) was 100$/night breakfast included (without towels, they cost 2$/piece if you want to rent it). For Norway it's a good price and you get a nice little room, a good and varied breakfast, free parking and wifi, and a beautiful place. Free tea/coffee all the day and little snacks about 4pm. Paying...

Clean, simple accommodation. Showers and kitchen good. Try and get a room with a view of the bay. Parking outside is fine. Ear plugs are a good idea as it is a wooden building a noise travels. Handy location for the town and pubs/restaurants/shops/bakery

I can't recommend this place unless you don't have any other place to stay. Well, it is a bit cheaper than a hotel, but you get what you pay for. Here you get a tiny room with two single bets. There is not enough place to put them together, so they need to be apart. You have to put on...

These lodgings have a mixture of accommodation because it's run as a school for half the year - there are dorms or hotel-style rooms. We're an older couple and chose to book a room with an ensuite so I can only comment on our experience (not the dormitory). We had a spacious room with lots of wardrobe space, a clean...

I liked my stay in hostel Kabelvag. I was here for four days. It has been an old school building, so it does not have the charm of a rorbu, but all facilities are there. I was in a dorm room, with shower and toilet shared. There was also a dryingroom (I loved it as the first to days were...

The cost was about $120. People were coming and going all night, walls were very hollow. The kitchen, dining area, and room were all in separate buildings. The view was excellent. The showers had private stalls with doors.

Located 5 minutes by bus from Svolvær. Dormitory space reasonably priced, by Norway's standard. Surroundings are scenic and quiet. A few minutes walk to the shore and cetral Kabelvåg. Rooms are clean. Love the breakfast.

The hostel is an actual school, so you will stay in students rooms, but with no belongings in there. We were lucky to get a family room. They are big and you will have enough space. The rooms and shower were very clean, almost sterile. the distance to the town is bit a minus, but within 10 minutes walk you...

We had a private double room in what seems to be the newest building. The room itself is large enough, and with clean towels and bed sheet I would say it satisfies our expectations of a hostel. On the other hand, paying at least as much as hotels charges in Norway, I also have to some degree judge them on...

I've backpaked 3 weeks in Norway and Sweden in June 2013 and so I've been in a lots of hostels. This one was by far the best one during my whole holiday. Friendly staff, breakfast and bed linen included, clean rooms and bathrooms and free use of the wash machine. Price in dormitory can first seems a bit high, but...
