We chose Finiki for its location, 30-40 minutes for every well known beach of Karpathos and especially Alkioni Hotel for its beautiful view to the village and the spectacular sunset.
The apartment was spacious, clean and well maintained.
Breakfast was served in the room, at the balcony, by Mr. Minas prepared by Mrs. Anna the owners of this place. Homade omelet, various pitas, fresh fruits, juice and local sweats were served every morning on time requested.

Last summer, I was on a solo holiday in Karpathos and stayed at Alkioni hotel. Best choice ever!
Minas and his wife are excellent hosts, and I felt at home. Please do not miss their delicious breakfast - totally worth it! They were super helpful, thoughtful and if I ever go back to Karpathos, I'll surely stay at their hotel! Thank you for everything!

Excellent quality apartment with fantastic sea-view. We had the villa with private pool, which we absolutely loved. The hosts Minas and Anna were exceptional. They went out of there way for us, even driving us to the nearest mini-market. Their breakfast was delicious and generous, and served to us on our private balcony overlooking the sea.

It was my first visit to Alkioni Hotel and should admit I was impressed with my new accomodation, as in reality the balcony view looks even more impressive. The hosts are very polite and friedly. Overall, I felt very comfortable living in Alkioni Hotel and plan to visit it again! Highly recommend it :)

We booked this hotel for 3 nights in the picturesque village of Finiki. When we arrived we got a really nice room with a really good view. First night everything was great. On the second day I got a call, while having a great day on the beach, by the owner who said there had been a "mistake" and we needed to change rooms, asked on why he said the schedule was booked that way. So we ended up BEING MOVED on the second day of our stay to room that was a floor down and it felt like it was in the basement and the view that had been great was gone. Now we were overlooking some phonelines and our private balcony had turned into a "veranda" where anyone could get into. So the hotel actually took two really happy customers and turned them into really really dissatisfied ones. When I told him that I did not approve of this decision the manager offered us to pay less but at the time when the bill was about to be paid the offer was nowhere to be found and we got charged the standard fee.

I do not recommend this hotel at all, there is another hotel side by side with a better view and perhaps some better knowledge on how to treat customers. Stay away from this one, that is my advice. I will also contact tripadvisor about this since they got somekind of reward, how that happened is beyond me, if you look at how they treat their customers.

Dear Guests, We apologize for the change of the apartment which makes you for happy customers to dissatisfied ones. When you came back from the beach you checked the new apartment with your girlfriend and you said that everything was ok.The sea view is exactly the same with the first one since we are talking for the same building. The new apartment has big veranda instead of balcony in front of the garden in order to enjoy the nice view with your friends you were traveling together. We would like to thank you staying with us . We are looking forward hearing from you. The Owners, Minas Konstantinides Anna Orfanou Hotel Alkioni Karpathos-Greece

A lovely, quiet, clean and comfortable family owned hotel in a quaint fishing village... What a good place as a base for me and my wife to enjoy two weeks of holiday and explore the rest of the island. Minas and his wife are wonderful hosts. They did all they could to make us feel like home. In fact, we feel like we were invited to stay in their home.
Every day we were in for a special treat, fruit from their own garden, a tasteful cake, karpathian specialties, etc etc... We were really spoiled.
We mostly cooked our own stuff and Minas even provided us with some brand new kitchen utensils when we mentioned we would use the kitchen. We shopped our groceries in Pigadia and the nearby village of Arkasa.
The place is beautifully maintained and Minas and his wife have a good eye for details. The rooms and grounds are very nice and clean and the place is very relaxing in general. The apartment was spacious and contained all the stuff we needed, even a beach umbrella for our outings. Beach towels, you need to bring or buy your own, like in most places.
The small village of Finiki has a short beach which is about 100 meters from the hotel, perfect when you are tired of moving around the Island exploring. There are 6-7 tavernas which serves fish and shellfish at night. All very fresh since most of them have their own fishing boat in the small harbor and go out daily to catch the fish for the day. We tried the three which Minas recommended and they all had excellent food and service.
We rented our car for the whole two weeks and it is a must when you stay in a slightly remote place like this, since taxis are somewhat expensive and buses are few. We can really recommend lefkosrentacar.com, top service and the same friendly feeling like Minas and his wife gave us.
We had a little shaky wifi connection during the first days but Minas was upgrading his network and in the end it was much better.
We enjoyed our two weeks a lot and already miss Karpathos.
Thanks for making our holidays wonderful and like your wish when we arrived, we felt like good friends when we left!

We were at Hotel Alkioni last year during summer. This year we decided to come back in December. The rooms are clean, comfortable, very well equipped (kitchenette, AC/heating in winter) and spacious. You can enjoy the beautiful view to Finiki's harbor and Kasos island.

Kind and attentive service! Minas, thank you for your hospitality!
