My wife and I just returned from our honeymoon in Santorini, where we enjoyed an ideal stay at the Hotel Mathios Village- a place that perfectly combines the comfort of a resort with the warmth and charm of a family-run inn. The staff could not have been friendlier or more helpful- we could tell they really take pride in this...

My family (husband and two teenage daughters) and I stayed at this hotel for a long weekend beginning 1 May. It was a great find for me as with just one e-mail and a phone call, the owner of the hotel, Mr. Costas Papalexis, organized everything for our trip. He arranged the ferry tickets, car rental (brand new car) and...

We stayed at Hotel Mathios for 3 nights. The hotel is owned by a family who all take part in running the hotel. The owner, Mr. Costas is very friendly and he and his family went out of their way to make our trip stress-free. They would have breakfast ready for us every morning and we ate dinner there 2...

I stayed here for one night, and wish I had stayed for longer. The hotel is lovely, and clean with a great pool and outdoor area. Also the staff are so friendly and helpful. It was fantastic value for money, I would happily return here, and would thoroughly recommend this hotel to others.

My fiance & I got engaged while staying at this hotel. Its on the less populated side of the island. Very clean, and outside of the winds, very quiet. The owner/manager is very kind and accomodating. If you are planning to rent a car to see the rest of the island -- staying here is a good idea because parking...

Highly recommend this hotel. We booked our 1 week stay at Hotel Mathios based on the excellent reviews that we read. The island is breath taking and the hotel was beautiful, the pools were clean and inviting. WE had the best meals at the hotel restaurant. You must eat there. The best part of our stay, was meeting Costas. He...

I have just returned from my seventh visit to Greece, and to Santorini. Villa Mathios, developed and managed by Costa and his Akrotiri family, continues to provide a hearty and warm welcome each time I visit. I now consider them good friends, and latterly return just to visit with them, and introduce new friends to them. The facilities are among...

We've just returned from a lovely five-day stay here where we were made very welcome, met lovely people, ate great food, had a clean, comfortable room and enjoyed sunbathing and swimming. Kostas, the owner, understands hospitality and extends it generously. I'm sure he'll read this in his constant mission to keep the hotel improving so 'Thanks Kostas!'

We absolutely loved our stay here...the place is beautiful and very relaxing. The weather was so hot and the two pools were very inviting. We had a wonderful experience with Kostas & family.
